Corticosterone exposure in cultures not pretreated with geniposide resulted in inhibited cell growth, reduced cell survival, and increased P53 and P21 protein expression. However, in geniposide pretreated SH-SY5Y cells, cell viability and the number of cells in the G2 phase of the cell cycle were significantly increased, P21 and P53 protein expression was reduced, and cell apoptosis was inhibited following corticosterone exposure. These results indicate that geniposide can protect SH-SY5Y cells against high-dose corticosterone-induced injury.展开更多
The active ingredient of ginseng,ginsenosides Rg1,has been shown to scavenge free radicals and improve antioxidant capacity.This study hypothesized that ginsenosides Rg1 has a protective role in human neuroblastoma ce...The active ingredient of ginseng,ginsenosides Rg1,has been shown to scavenge free radicals and improve antioxidant capacity.This study hypothesized that ginsenosides Rg1 has a protective role in human neuroblastoma cells injured by H2O2.Ginsenosides Rg1 at different concentrations(50 and 100 μM) was used to treat H2O2(150 μM)-injured SH-SY5 Y cells.Results demonstrated that ginsenoside Rg1 elevated the survival rate of SH-SY5 Y cells injured by H2O2,diminished the amount of leaked lactate dehydrogenase,and increased superoxide dismutase activity.Ginsenoside Rg1 effectively suppressed caspase-3 immunoreactivity,and contributed to heat shock protein 70 gene expression,in a dose-dependent manner.These results indicate that ginsenoside Rg1 has protective effects on SH-SY5 Y cells injured by H2O2 and that its mechanism of action is associated with anti-oxidation and the inhibition of apoptosis.展开更多

SH-SY5Y cells injured by 400 μmol/L cor- ticosterone were treated with 5 and 30 μg/mL Shuyusan-containing serum. Results revealed that Shuyusan-containing serum elevated the survival rate of SH-SY5Y cells, reduced Bax expression, increased Bcl-2 expression, markedly elevated brain-derived neurotrophic factor mRNA expression, and blocked cell apoptosis. Moreover, the effect of high-dose (30 μg/mL) Shuyusan-containing se- rum was more remarkable. Therefore, Shuyusan-containing serum appears to protect SH-SY5Y cells against corticosterone-induced impairment by adjusting the expression of apoptosis-associ- ated proteins and brain-derived neurotrophic factor. The design approach and performance of a 22.5°/45°digital phase shifter based on a switched filter network for X-band phased arrays are described.Both the MMIC phase shifters are fabricated employing a 0.25 ...The design approach and performance of a 22.5°/45°digital phase shifter based on a switched filter network for X-band phased arrays are described.Both the MMIC phase shifters are fabricated employing a 0.25 m gate GaAs pHEMT process and share in the same chip size of 0.82 1.06 mm^2.The measurement results of the proposed phase shifters over the whole operating frequency range show that the phase shift error is less than 22.5°˙2.5°,45°˙3.5°,which shows an excellent agreement with the simulated performance,the insertion loss is within the range of 0.9–1.2 dB for the 22.5° phase shifter and 0.9–1.4 dB for the 45°phase shifter,and the input/output return loss is better than –12.5 and –11 dB respectively.They also achieve the similar P(1dB)continuous wave power handing capability of 24.8 dBm at 10 GHz.The phase shifters show a good phase shift error,insertion loss and return loss in the X-band(40%),which can be employed into the wide bandwidth multi-bit digital phase shifter.展开更多
