Two kinds of semi-solid samples of AZ80−0.2Y−0.15Ca(wt.%)(AZ80M)magnesium alloy were prepared by semi-solid isothermal heat treatment of materials with and without equal channel angular pressing(ECAP)process.The microstructures of initial and semi-solid treated samples were compared and analyzed.The results showed a significant difference in the liquid phase distribution between three-pass ECAP processed(3P)and as-received samples during the isothermal heating process.The semi-solid 3P sample showed a more uniform liquid distribution due to its smaller dihedral angle.Besides,the coarsening processes of solid grains of as-received and 3P samples were dominated by the coalescence and Ostwald ripening mechanism,respectively.The difference of coarsening processes was mainly related to the proportion of the high-angle grain boundaries in materials,which further affected the evolution behavior of the liquid pools. 展开更多

The effects of yttrium(Y)and yttrium+calcium(Y+Ca)additions on the electrochemical properties and discharge performance of the as-extruded Mg−8Al−0.5Zn−0.2Mn(AZ80)anodes for Mg−air batteries were investigated.The results show that the addition of 0.2 wt.%Y increased the corrosion resistance and discharge activity of AZ80 anode.This was attributed to the fine and sphericalβ-Mg_17)Al_(12) phases dispersing evenly in AZ80+0.2Y alloy,which suppressed the localized corrosion and severe“chunk effect”,and facilitated the rapid activation ofα-Mg.Combinative addition of 0.2 wt.%Y and 0.15 wt.%Ca generated grain refinement and a reduction of theβ-Mg_17)Al_(12) phase,resulting in a further enhancement in discharge voltage.However,the incorporation of Ca in Mg_17)Al_(12) and Al_(2)Y compounds compromised the corrosion resistance and anodic efficiency of AZ80+0.2Y+0.15Ca anode.Consequently,AZ80+0.2Y anode exhibited excellent overall discharge performance,with the peak discharge capacity and anodic efficiency of 1525 mA·h·g^(−1) and 67%at 80 mA/cm^(2),13%and 14%higher than those of AZ80 anode,respectively. 展开更多

The potential mechanisms of the spreading phenomena uncover the organizations and functions of various systems.However,due to the lack of valid data,most of early works are limited to the simulated process on model networks.In this paper,we track and analyze the propagation paths of real spreading events on two social networks:Twitter and Brightkite.The empirical analysis reveals that the spreading probability and the spreading velocity present the explosive growth within a short period,where the spreading probability measures the transferring likelihood between two neighboring nodes,and the spreading velocity is the growth rate of the information in the whole network.Besides,we observe the asynchronism between the spreading probability and the spreading velocity.To explain the interesting and abnormal issue,we introduce the time-varying spreading probability into the susceptible-infected(SI)and linear threshold(LT)models.Both the analytic and experimental results reproduce the spreading phenomenon in real networks,which deepens our understandings of spreading problems. 展开更多

Our goal was to establish two new predictive models of prostate cancer to determine whether to require a prostate biopsy when the prostate-specific antigen level is in the diagnostic gray zone.A retrospective analysis of 197 patients undergoing prostate biopsy with prostate-specific antigens between 4 and 10 ng ml^?1 was conducted.Of these,47 patients were confirmed to have cancer,while the remaining 150 patients were diagnosed with benign prostate disease after examining biopsy pathology.Two multivariate logistic regression models were established including age,prostate volumes,free/total prostate-specific antigen ratio,and prostate-specific antigen density using SPSS 19.0 to obtain the predicted probability and Logit P,and then,two receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves were drawn to obtain the best cutoff value for prostate biopsy:one for the group of all the prostate cancers and one for the group of clinically significant prostate cancers.The best cutoff value for prostate biopsy was 0.25 from the multivariate logistic regression ROC curve model of all the prostate cancers,which gave a sensitivity of 75.4%and a specificity of 75.8%.The best cutoff value for prostate biopsy was 0.20 from the multivariate logistic regression model of clinically significant prostate cancers,which gave a sensitivity of 76.7%and a specificity of 80.1%.We identified the best cutoff values for prostate biopsy(0.25 for all prostate cancers and 0.20 for clinically significant prostate cancers)to determine whether to require prostate biopsy when the PSA level is in the diagnostic gray zone. 展开更多
