Structural deformation monitoring of flight vehicles based on optical fiber sensing(OFS)technology has been a focus of research in the field of aerospace.After nearly 30 years of research and development,Chinese and international researchers have made significant advances in the areas of theory and methods,technology and systems,and ground experiments and flight tests.These advances have led to the development of OFS technology from the laboratory research stage to the engineering application stage.However,a few problems encountered in practical applications limit the wider application and further development of this technology,and thus urgently require solutions.This paper reviews the history of research on the deformation monitoring of flight vehicles.It examines various aspects of OFS-based deformation monitoring including the main varieties of OFS technology,technical advantages and disadvantages,suitability in aerospace applications,deformation reconstruction algorithms,and typical applications.This paper points out the key unresolved problems and the main evolution paradigms of engineering applications.It further discusses future development directions from the perspectives of an evolution paradigm,standardization,new materials,intelligentization,and collaboration. 展开更多

The fuorescence-based in vivo flow cytometry(IVFC)is an emerging tool to monitor eirculating cells in vivo.As a noninvasive and real-timne diagnostic technology,the fluorescence based IVFC allows long-term monitoring of circulating cells without changing their native biological environment.It has been applied for various biological applications(eg,monitoring circulating tumor cells).In this work,we will review our recent works on fluorescence-based IVFC.The operation principle and typical biological applications will be introduced.In addition,the recent advances in IVFC flow cytometry based on photoacoustic effects and other label free detection methods such as imaging based methods,difuse-light methods,hybrid multimodality methods and multispectral methods are also summarized. 展开更多

An optical fiber microdisplacement sensor based on symmetric Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI) with a seven-core fiber and two single-mode fiber balls is proposed. The rationality and manufacturing process of the MZI sensing structure are analyzed. The fabrication mechanism of the Mach-Zehnder sensor by CO2 laser is described in detail. Experimental results show that temperature sensitivities of the two dips are 98.65 pm/℃ and 89.72pm/℃, respectively. The microdisplacement sensitivities are 2017.71 pm/mm and 2457.92 pm/mm, respectively. The simultaneous measurement of temperature and microdisplacement is demonstrated based on the sensitive matrix. The proposed Mach-Zehnder interference sensor exhibits the advantages of compact structure, simple manufacturing process, and high reliability. 展开更多

The propagation property of Laguerre-Gaus- sian (LG) beams passing through a diffractive ring-lens (RL) was studied, where the RL was generated by a liquid crystal spatial light modulator (LC-SLM). It was found that the LG beam was transformed into a sharp ring at the focal plane first, and then a Bessel-similar beam was formed behind the focal plane but the beam size was enlarged with the increase of propagation distance. With the help of a group of lenses, the beam was further collimated into a Bessel beam. Finally, the "non-diffractive" and self- reconstruction properties of the generated Bessel beams were experimentally verified. 展开更多
