Thus it has vital importance to diagnose and treat these patients with endocarditis in early stages. Most preferred treatment option is a surgical incision in addition to systemic anti-fungal therapy. Here we presented an extremely low birth weight, premature newborn with endocarditis caused by Candida tropicalis and cured solely by systemic anti-fungal treatment without the need for surgical intervention.展开更多
