Objective:We used meta-analysis to explore the clinical efficacy of auricular point therapy combined with modern medicine in improving depression/anxiety in maintenance hemodialysis patients.Methods:We searched CNKI,W...Objective:We used meta-analysis to explore the clinical efficacy of auricular point therapy combined with modern medicine in improving depression/anxiety in maintenance hemodialysis patients.Methods:We searched CNKI,Wanfang,Weipu,CBM,The Cochrane Library,PubMed,Web of Science,Embase through computer to build a randomized controlled trials of auricular therapy combined with modern medicine in the treatment of depression/anxiety disorders in China and abroad since 2022.Two evaluators independently screened the studies,extracted and cross-checked the key data in the studies independently after determining the included studies,and then evaluated the quality of the studies respectively.Finally,we used RevMan 5.3 platform for statistical processing of data.Results:This meta-analysis included a total of 12 clinical randomized controlled trials,including a total of 899 patients.The results showed that the observation group was more effective in reducing the scores of Hamilton Anxiety Scale,self rating Anxiety Scale,self rating Depression Scale,Pittsburgh sleep quality index score of maintenance hemodialysis patients.In addition,there was no statistical difference between the observation group and the control group in improving the total clinical effective rate.Conclusion:The observation group has a more obvious effect on the improvement of anxiety or depression in maintenance hemodialysis patients.However,due to the limitation of the quantity and quality of the included studies,the real efficacy of auricular therapy combined with modern medicine in improving anxiety or depression disorder after maintenance hemodialysis still needs to be supported by more carefully designed and standardized multi-center,large-sample clinical studies.展开更多
Objective:The purpose of the research was to systematically evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Shenkang injection combined with Western medicine in treating chronic glomerulonephritis.Methods:Randomized cont...Objective:The purpose of the research was to systematically evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Shenkang injection combined with Western medicine in treating chronic glomerulonephritis.Methods:Randomized controlled trials of Shenkang Injection combined with Western medicine in treating CGN were obtained from 8 Science databases including China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),China Biomedical Database(SinMed),Weipu Database(VIP),Wanfang Database(Wanfang),PubMed,The Cochrane Library,Embase,Web of Science from establishment to June 2022.Two researchers screened literature and extracted useful data according to inclusion and exclusion criteria,and used RevMan 5.3 and STATA SE 14.0 software to perform meta-analysis.Results:1,214 patients were included in 15 studies,with 607 in treatment group and 607 in control group.The results of meta-analysis showed that the treatment group could improve the clinical effective rate[RR=1.33,95%CI(1.25,1.40),P<0.00001],reduce serum creatinine[MD=-31.28,95%CI(-42.90,-19.66),P<0.00001],blood urea nitrogen[MD=-2.26,95%CI(-3.08,-1.44),P<0.00001],24-hour urine protein quantification[MD=-0.37,95%CI(-0.49,-0.25),P<0.00001],tumor necrosis factor-α[MD=-7.93,95%CI(-10.56,-5.30),P<0.00001],systolic blood pressure[MD=-10.81,95%CI(-13.66,-7.96),P<0.00001]and diastolic blood pressure[MD=-7.36,95%CI(-9.34,-5.38),P<0.00001].Conclusion:Shenkang injection combined with Western medicine can enhance the clinical effective rate of CGN and reduce the levels of serum creatinine,blood urea nitrogen,24-hour urine protein quantification,tumor necrosis factor-α,systolic blood and diastolic blood pressure.However,due to the low quality of literature,the conclusion still needs to be supported by more multi-center,large-sample studies with rigorous design and standardized implementation.展开更多
Spectral induced polarization(SIP)and bender element(BE)techniques show a high sensitivity to particle size,particle distribution and content of generated hydration products,which essentially govern the efficiency of ...Spectral induced polarization(SIP)and bender element(BE)techniques show a high sensitivity to particle size,particle distribution and content of generated hydration products,which essentially govern the efficiency of ground improvement.In this context,both SIP and BE were integrated on a column setup to monitor the processes of lime and cement stabilization.A 5 mmol/L Na2CO3 solution was injected into the sand-lime mixture to produce CaCO3 precipitation,while deionized water was injected into the sandcement mixture to induce the hydration of cement.The average diameters of the precipitated particles or clusters were calculated from the relaxation time,which was a significant parameter of SIP signals,via the Schwarz equation.Two pairs of BE were used to demonstrate the heterogeneity of the product precipitation,which was probably caused by the location of the inflow and outflow on the SIP-BE column.SIP and BE showed the capability of nondestructively monitoring the spatiotemporal chemical evolution processes,which could be helpful for engineering applications.展开更多

The driven mechanis...This paper investigates the magnetohydrodynamic(MHD) electroosmotic flow(EOF) of Newtonian fluid through a zeta potential modulated parallel plate microchannel with patterned hydrodynamic slippage. The driven mechanism of the flow originates from the Lorentz force generated by the interaction of externally imposed lateral electric field Ey and vertical magnetic field Bz and electric field force produced by an externally applied electric field Ex. It is assumed that the wall zeta potential and the slip length are periodic functions of axial coordinate x, an analytical solution of the stream function is achieved by utilizing the method of separation of variables and perturbation expansion. The pictures of streamlines are plotted and the vortex configurations produced in flow field due to patterned wall potential and hydrodynamic slippage are discussed. Based on the stream function, the velocity field and volume flow rate are obtained, which are greatly depend on some dimensionless parameters, such as slip length ls, electrokinetic widthλ, the amplitude δ of the patterned slip length, the amplitude m of the modulated zeta potential and Hartmann number Ha. The variations of velocity and volume flow rate with these dimensionless parameters are discussed in details. These theoretical results may provide some guidance effectively operating micropump in practical nanofluidic applications.展开更多
TIFA,also called T2BP,was first identified using yeast two-hybrid screening.Our previous work showed that TIFA suppresses hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)progression via apoptosis and cell cycle arrest.However,the mechan...TIFA,also called T2BP,was first identified using yeast two-hybrid screening.Our previous work showed that TIFA suppresses hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)progression via apoptosis and cell cycle arrest.However,the mechanism by which this TIFA suppression occurs remains unclear.Here we demonstrated that TIFA-induced apoptosis demonstrates two distinct time patterns(i.e.,at 48 h and 47 days)when TIFA reconstitution occurs.Moreover,we found that MALT1(a competitor of TIFA)plays a crucial role in short-duration TIFA reconstitution.In this regard,MALT1 silencing with shRNA markedly enhances TIFA-induced apoptosis in vitro and in vivo.In addition,TIFA overexpression triggers JNK and p38 activation in long-duration TIFA reconstitution through TRAF6 binding.In particular,JNK activation leads to TIFA-induced apoptosis while p38 activation governs TIFA-induced cell cycle arrest by p53-p21 signaling in vitro and in vivo.Our data suggest a novel mechanism by which TIFA suppresses HCC progression via both MALT1-dependent and MALT1-independent signaling pathways.This may provide insights into a novel targets where HCC progression may be vulnerable to clinical treatment.展开更多
Objective:This study was to supply information of the Duchenne muscular dystrophy(DMD)mutational spectrum in 303 Chinese families and further offer 5-year clinical experience of DMD/Becker muscular dystrophy genetic c...Objective:This study was to supply information of the Duchenne muscular dystrophy(DMD)mutational spectrum in 303 Chinese families and further offer 5-year clinical experience of DMD/Becker muscular dystrophy genetic counseling and prenatal diagnosis.Methods:In this retrospective cohort study,three hundred and five pregnancies in 303 pregnant women who has a birth history of DMD/Becker muscular dystrophy patients underwent prenatal diagnosis using multiplex ligation-dependent probe amplification followed by Sanger sequencing between January 2014 and December 2018 at Peking Union Medical College Hospital.The mean age of pregnant women was(33.0±4.1)years old.Karyotype analysis was performed to exclude fetal abnormal karyotype.Results:The detection rate of DMD gene mutation in 303 probands was(296/303)97.7%with seven families having a negative genetic diagnosis.The mutational spectrum comprised of large arrangements in 288/303(95.0%)and small mutations in 8/303(2.6%).Carrier testing was performed among 204 pregnant women among whom,108 mothers had the same mutation as family proband.Of the 305 pregnancies underwent prenatal diagnosis,55 of 173 male fetuses were affected.We also performed karyotype analysis and found three abnormal karyotypes of trisomy 21.We even found a fetus with DMD gene mutation and trisomy 21 in a same fetus by further analysis.We also identified two times of germline mosaicism.Conclusion:This study demonstrated the distribution and mutation profile of 303 probands and 305 fetuses.Furthermore,considering the possbility of maternl germilne mosaicism,prenatal diagnosis should be suggested to mothers with a proband whether they carry the causative mutation in their blood or not.展开更多
We demonstrate a simple and efficient biosynthesis method to prepare easily harvested biocompatible cadmium telluride(CdTe)quantum dots(QDs)with tunable fluorescence emission using yeast cells.Ultraviolet-visible(UV-v...We demonstrate a simple and efficient biosynthesis method to prepare easily harvested biocompatible cadmium telluride(CdTe)quantum dots(QDs)with tunable fluorescence emission using yeast cells.Ultraviolet-visible(UV-vis)spectroscopy,photoluminescence(PL)spectroscopy,X-ray diffraction(XRD),and transmission electron microscopy(TEM)confirm that the CdTe QDs are formed via an extracellular growth and subsequent endocytosis pathway and have size-tunable optical properties with fluorescence emission from 490 to 560 nm and a cubic zinc blende structure with good crystallinity.In particular,the CdTe QDs with uniform size(2-3.6 nm)are protein-capped,which makes them highly soluble in water,and in situ bio-imaging in yeast cells indicates that the biosynthesized QDs have good biocompatibility.This work provides an economic and environmentally friendly approach to synthesize highly fluorescent biocompatible CdTe QDs for bio-imaging and bio-labeling applications.展开更多
