This paper proposes a multifunction radar that can not only measure sea currents but also perform sea-surface imaging.The fundamental aspect of the proposed radar comprises transmitting time-shifted up-and-down contin...This paper proposes a multifunction radar that can not only measure sea currents but also perform sea-surface imaging.The fundamental aspect of the proposed radar comprises transmitting time-shifted up-and-down continuous wave linear frequency modulated signals that allow for the offset of two one-dimensional range images of the sea surface that respectively correspond to the upward linear frequency modulated(LFM)signal and the downward LFM signal.Owing to the Doppler frequency shift from the sea surface,a range offset,which is proportional to the radial velocity of the sea surface,occurs between the upward and downward LFM signals.By using the least-squares linear fitting method in the transformed domain,the range offset can be measured and the current velocity can be retrieved.Finally,we verify the accuracy of current measurement with simulation results.展开更多
Pathological myocardial hypertrophy is a common early clinical manifestation of heart failure,with noncoding RNAs exerting regulatory influence.However,the molecular function of circular RNAs(circRNAs)in the progressi...Pathological myocardial hypertrophy is a common early clinical manifestation of heart failure,with noncoding RNAs exerting regulatory influence.However,the molecular function of circular RNAs(circRNAs)in the progression from cardiac hypertrophy to heart failure remains unclear.To uncover functional circRNAs and identify the core circRNA signaling pathway in heart failure,we construct a global triple network(microRNA,circRNA,and mRNA)based on the competitive endogenous RNA(ceRNA)theory.We observe that cardiac hypertrophy-related circRNA(circRNA CHRC),within the ceRNA network,is down-regulated in both transverse aortic constriction mice and Ang-II--treated primary mouse cardiomyocytes.Silencing circRNA CHRC increases cross-sectional cell area,atrial natriuretic peptide,andβ-myosin heavy chain levels in primary mouse cardiomyocytes.Further screening shows that circRNA CHRC targets the miR-431-5p/KLF15 axis implicated in heart failure progression in vivo and in vitro.Immunoprecipitation with anti-Ago2-RNA confirms the interaction between circRNA CHRC and miR-431-5p,while miR-431-5p mimics reverse Klf15 activation caused by circRNA CHRC overexpression.In summary,circRNA CHRC attenuates cardiac hypertrophy via sponging miR-431-5p to maintain the normal level of Klf15 expression.展开更多
The three-dimensional porous network polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) thin films were achieved by a vacuum technique through evaporating the pure PTFE powders. The surfaces of PTFE thin films showed various morphologi...The three-dimensional porous network polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) thin films were achieved by a vacuum technique through evaporating the pure PTFE powders. The surfaces of PTFE thin films showed various morphologies by adjusting the evaporation temperature and the corresponding contact angle ranging from 133° to 155°. Further analyses of surface chemical composition and morphology by FTIR and FE-SEM revealed that the origin of hydrophobicity for the PTFE thin films could be ascribed to the fluorine-containing groups and the surface morphologies, indicating that abundant -CF2 groups and network structures with appropriate pore sizes played a vital role in superhydrophobicity. By characterization of UV-Vis, the films also showed high transmittance and antireflection effect. The films prepared by this simple method have potential applications such as waterproof membrane and self-cleaning coating.展开更多
