BACKGROUND Hepatosplenic T-cell lymphoma(HSTCL)is a rare subtype of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, which has an aggressive clinical course and an extremely poor prognosis.Chidamide is a novel, orally active,benzamide-type histone deacetylase(HDAC)inhibitor that has been used for peripheral T-cell lymphoma(PTCL)treatment. However,to date, there has been no report of the treatment and effect of the HDAC inhibitor chidamide in HSTCL,which is a special subtype of PTCL.CASE SUMMARY A 45-year-old male patient was admitted with splenomegaly and slight bicytopenia. He was diagnosed with HSTCL via splenectomy. The patient was treated with fractionated cyclophosphamide, vincristine, doxorubicin, and dexamethasone alternating with high-dose methotrexate and cytarabine regiment as inductive therapy.Unfortunately, the disease progressed rapidly during chemotherapy before a suitable allogeneic gene transplant donor was found. The chidamide-combined chemotherapy regimen and single-drug oral maintenance regimen achieved complete remission, duration of response of 9 mo,and overall survival of 15 mo.CONCLUSION The novel agent chidamide can be used in HSTCL to achieve deep remission and improve the duration of response and overall survival. 展开更多

Methotrexate, etoposide, dexamethasone, and pegaspargase(MESA)with sandwiched radiotherapy is known to be effective for early-stage extranodal natural killer/T-cell lymphoma, nasal type(NKTCL).We explored the efficacy and safety of reduced-intensity,non-intravenous etoposide, dexamethasone, and pegaspargase(ESA)with sandwiched radiotherapy. This multicenter, randomized, phase III trial enrolled patients aged between 14 and 70 years with newly diagnosed early-stage nasal NKTCL from 27 centers in China.Patients were randomly assigned(1:1)to receive ESA(pegaspargase 2,500 IU/m^(2)intramuscularly on day 1,etoposide 200 mg orally, and dexamethasone 40 mg orally on days 2–4)or MESA(methotrexate 1 g/m^(2)intravenously on day 1,etoposide 200 mg orally, and dexamethasone 40 mg orally on days 2–4,and pegaspargase 2,500 IU/m^(2)intramuscularly on day 5)regimen(four cycles),combined with sandwiched radiotherapy. 展开更多

Exosomes (EXO) derived from dendritic cells (DC) and tumor cells have been used to stimulate antitumor immune responses in animal models and in clinical trials. However, there has been no side-by-side comparison of the stimulatory efficiency of the antitumor immune responses induced by these two commonly used EXO vaccines. In this study, we selected to study the phenotype characteristics of EXO derived from a transfected EG7 tumor cells expressing ovalbumin (OVA) and OVA-pulsed DC by flow cytometry. We compared the stimulatory effect in induction of OVA-specific immune responses between these two types of EXO. We found that OVA protein-pulsed DCOVA-derived EXO (EXODC) can more efficiently stimulate naive OVA-specific CD8^+ T cell proliferation and differentiation into cytotoxic T lymphocytes in vivo, and induce more efficient antitumor immunity than EG7 tumor cell-derived EXO (EXOEG7). In addition, we elucidated the important role of the host DC in EXO vaccines that the stimulatory effect of EXO is delivered to T cell responses by the host DC. Therefore, DC-derived EXO may represent a more effective EXO-based vaccine in induction of antitumor immunity. Cellular & Molecular Immunology. 2006;3(3):205-211. 展开更多

The purpose of this study is to explore the impact of third-party relational governance on the performance of collaborative innovation in China. By integrating the relational view and innovation appropriation perspectives, this study analyses the effects of three mechanisms of third-party relational governancedco-reputation, interorganizational routines, and technological normsdon collaborative innovation performance. Additionally, this study investigates the moderating effects of the protection of intellectual Property Rights(IPR) on the relationship between third-party relational governance and collaborative innovation performance. Survey data of high-technology firms in China are used to empirically test the hypotheses. The results show that third-party relational governance has a positive effect on collaborative innovation performance and that IPR protection has different moderating effects. This study contributes to the relational governance literature by adding the perspective of third parties and analyzing three mechanisms of third-party relational governance in a single model. This study also contributes to the innovation appropriation literature by examining the role of IPR protection in governing collaborative innovation in China. Finally, this study offers suggestions on how Chinese firms should govern their collaborative innovation to remedy the limitations of a weak IPR legal institutional framework. 展开更多

In this study,a human-chair model was developed as the basis for a wearable-chair design.A prototype chair,HUST-EC,based on the model was fabricated and evaluated.Employing the optimization under the golden divisional method,an optimized simulation of the operating mode with the lowest chair height was implemented.A novel multi-link support structure has been established with parameters optimized using Matlab software. The stress analysis of the solid models was conducted to ensure the adequate support from the designed chair for the user.Ten subjects participated in the evaluation experiment, who performed both static tasks and dynamic tasks. The experimental results consisted of subjective evaluation and objective evaluation. The experimental data demonstrate that(1)the HUST-EC can effectively reduce the activation level of related muscles at a variety of tasks;(2)the plantar pressure was reduced by 54%–67%;(3)the angle between the upper body and the vertical axis was reduced by 59%–77%;(4)the subjective scores for chair comfortability, portability, and stability were all higher than 7.The results further revealed that the designed chair can reduce the musculoskeletal burden and may improve work efficiency. 展开更多

Accurate acceleration acquisition is a critical issue in the robotic exoskeleton system, but it is difficult to directly obtain the acceleration via the existing sensing systems. The existing algorithm-based acceleration acquisition methods put more attention on finite-time convergence and disturbance suppression but ignore the error constraint and initial state irrelevant techniques. To this end,a novel radical bias function neural network(RBFNN)based fixed-time reconstruction scheme with error constraints is designed to realize high-performance acceleration estimation. In this scheme,a novel exponential-type barrier Lyapunov function is proposed to handle the error constraints. It also provides a unified and concise Lyapunov stability-proof template for constrained and non-constrained systems. Moreover,a fractional power sliding mode control law is designed to realize fixed-time convergence, where the convergence time is irrelevant to initial states or external disturbance, and depends only on the chosen parameters. To further enhance observer robustness,an RBFNN with the adaptive weight matrix is proposed to approximate and attenuate the completely unknown disturbances.Numerical simulation and human sub ject experimental results validate the unique properties and practical robustness. 展开更多
