Manganese cobaltite(MnCo_(2)_(4))is a promising electrode material because of its attractive redox chemistry and excellent charge storage capability.Our previous work demonstrated that the octahedrally-coordinated Mn are prone to react with the hydroxyl ions in alkaline electrolyte upon electrochemical cycling and separates on the surface of spinel to reconstruct into d-MnO_(2) nanosheets irreversibly,thus results in a change of the reaction mechanism with Kþion intercalation.However,the low capacity has greatly limited its practical application.Herein,we found that the tetrahedrally-coordinated Co_(2) þions were leached when MnCo_(2)_(4) was equilibrated in 1 mol L^(-1) HCl solution,leading to the formation of layered CoOOH on MnCo_(2)_(4) surface which is originated from the covalency competition induced selective breakage of the CoT–O bond in CoT–O–CoO and subsequent rearrangement of free Co_(6) octahedra.The as-formed CoOOH is stable upon cycling in alkaline electrolyte,exhibits conversion reaction mechanism with facile proton diffusion and is free of massive structural evolution,thus enables utilization of the bulk electrode material and realizes enhanced specific capacity as well as facilitated charge transfer and ion diffusion.In general,our work not only offers a feasible approach to deliberate modification of MnCo_(2)_(4)'s surface structure,but also provides an in-depth understanding of its charge storage mechanism,which enables rational design of the spinel oxides with promising charge storage properties. 展开更多

The mechanism involved in the phase transformation process of pyrolusite (MnO_(2)) during roasting in a reducing atmosphere was systematically elucidated in this study,with the aim of effectively using low-grade complex manganese ore resources.According to single-factor experiment results,the roasted product with a divalent manganese (Mn^(2+)) distribution rate of 95.30% was obtained at a roasting time of 25 min,a roasting temperature of 700℃,a CO concentration of 20at%,and a total gas volume of 500 mL·min^(-1),in which the manganese was mainly in the form of manganosite (MnO).Scanning electron microscopy and Brunauer–Emmett–Teller theory demonstrated the microstructural evolution of the roasted product and the gradual reduction in the pyrolusite ore from the surface to the core Thermodynamic calculations,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,and X-ray diffractometry analyses determined that the phase transformation of pyrolusite followed the order of MnO_(2)→Mn_(2)O_(3)→Mn_(3)O_(4)→MnO phase by phase,and the reduction of manganese oxides in each valence state proceeded simultaneously. 展开更多

Grain size is a key factor influencing grain weight in rice.In this study,a chromosome segment substitution line(CSSL9-17)was identified,that exhibits a significant reduction in both grain size and weight compared to its donor parent 93-11.Further investigation identified two quantitative trait loci(QTL)on chromosome 11,designated qGW11a and qGW11b,which contribute to 1000-grain weight with an additive effect.LOC_Os11g05690,encoding the amino acid permease OsCAT8,is the target gene of qGW11a.Overexpression of OsCAT8 resulted in decreased grain weight,while OsCAT8 knockout mutants exhibited increased grain weight.The 287-bp located within the OsCAT8 promoter region of 93-11 negatively regulates its activity,which is subsequently correlated with an increase in grain size and weight.These results suggest that OsCAT8 functions as a negative regulator of grain size and grain weight in rice. 展开更多

水分解是一种利用可再生能源驱动的绿色制氢方法,零碳排放特性使其成为解决氢能源生产的重要途径.在电化学水分解中,制备高活性和稳定性的催化剂至关重要.高熵合金(HEAs)由于独特的结构和性能使其成为理想的催化剂材料,其多元成分和可... 水分解是一种利用可再生能源驱动的绿色制氢方法,零碳排放特性使其成为解决氢能源生产的重要途径.在电化学水分解中,制备高活性和稳定性的催化剂至关重要.高熵合金(HEAs)由于独特的结构和性能使其成为理想的催化剂材料,其多元成分和可调组成提供了丰富的表面活性位点和灵活的催化特性,有望提高水分解的效率并降低成本.然而,简易高效地制备HEAs仍面临挑战,且目前对HEA催化剂的结构-活性关系的了解存在不足.因此,探索一种简便有效的方法用以制备高性能HEAs催化剂,并深入理解其在水分解反应中的作用机制和结构演变,能够为未来绿色制氢技术的发展提供重要的科学基础和技术支持.本文采用了电化学测量、CuK-边和PtL3-边的原位同步辐射X射线吸收光谱(XAS)测试以及密度泛函理论(DFT)计算相结合的方法,系统地研究了高熵合金电催化剂PtPdRhRuCu/C的析氢反应(HER)活性、反应机制以及结构演变规律.PtPdRhRuCu HEAs纳米颗粒由简便的一步溶剂热法制备,直径约为6.7±0.6 nm,其合金结构和元素分布通过多种表征手段(扫描透射电子显微镜、X射线衍射和能量色散X射线光谱等)得到确认.XAS对Cu K-边和PtL3-边的分析结果显示,HEAs纳米颗粒表面的少量铜氧化物在HER过程中被还原至金属态.扩展X射线吸收精细结构的拟合结果表明,HEAs在工况HER中保持了金属态和无序的原子排列,没有新的分离相形成.电化学测试结果表明,得益于多金属活性位点,PtPdRhRuCu/C催化剂在酸性和碱性条件下均表现出较好的HER活性和耐久性.在10 m Acm^(-2)的电流密度下,该催化剂在1molL^(-1)KOH中具有23.3 m V的极低过电位,优于商业Pt/C催化剂(50.3 m V),其质量活性是Pt/C的7.9倍,达到3.0 Amg^(-1)Pt.PtPdRhRuCu的高熵效应显著提升了催化剂在HER中的长期稳定性,在稳定性测试中,PtPdRhRuCu/C催化剂在10000次循环伏安测试后几乎无性能衰减,而Pt/C的过电位增加了约24 m V.在-55 m V过电位下的30 h的HER测试中,PtPdRhRuCu/C保持95.7%的初始电流密度,而Pt/C衰减了53.6%.在酸性条件下,PtPdRhRuCu/C的循环稳定性和耐久性也优于Pt/C.DFT计算结果表明,PtPdRhRuCu/C较好的HER性能和稳定性归因于高熵合金的协同效应,多金属成分提供了多样的活性位点,优化了HER反应路径,特别是在Volmer步骤中降低了水裂解的反应能垒.PtPdRhRuCu/C上的HER过程遵循Volmer-Tafel机理,水分子优先吸附在Ru位点,促进HO-H键的解离,解离出的质子迁移到Pt上,而OH通过Ru和Rh的桥接作用而稳定,最终在Cu上释放H2.综上,本文展示了高熵合金在HER中较好的性能,并通过详细的表征深入理解了其构-效关系.研究成果为高熵合金催化剂的合理设计和应用提供理论支持,为未来高效、耐久和低成本的绿色制氢技术提供重要的科学依据和技术支持. 展开更多

The Li metal battery with ultrahigh-nickel cathode(LiNi_(x)M_(1-x)O_(2),M=Mn,Co,and x≥0.9)under high-voltage is regarded as one of the most promising approaches to fulfill the ambitious target of 400 Wh/kg.However,the practical application is impeded by the instability of electrode/electrolyte interface and Ni-rich cathode itself.Herein we proposed an electron-defect electrolyte additive trimethyl borate(TMB)which is paired with the commercial carbonate electrolyte to construct highly conductive fluorine-and boron-rich cathode electrolyte interface(CEI)on LiNi_(0.9)Co_(0.05)Mn_(0.05)O_(2)(NCM90)surface and solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)on lithium metal surface.The modified CEI effectively mitigates the structural transformation from layered to disordered rock-salt phase,and consequently alleviate the dissolution of transition metal ions(TMs)and its“cross-talk”effect,while the enhanced SEI enables stable lithium plating/striping and thus demonstrated good compatibility between electrolyte and lithium metal anode.As a result,the common electrolyte with 1 wt%TMB enables 4.7 V NCM90/Li cell cycle stably over 100 cycles with 70%capacity retention.This work highlights the significance of the electron-defect boron compounds for designing desirable interfacial chemistries to achieve high performance NCM90/Li battery under high voltage operation. 展开更多

BACKGROUND A rare autosomal recessive genetic disorder,3M syndrome,is characterized by severe intrauterine and postnatal growth retardation.Children with 3M syndrome typically exhibit short stature,facial deformities,long tubular bones,and high vertebral bodies but generally lack mental abnormalities or other organ damage.Pathogenic genes associated with 3M syndrome include CUL7,OBSL1 and CCDC8.The clinical and molecular characteristics of patient with 3M syn-drome are unique and serve as important diagnostic indicators.CASE SUMMARY In this case,the patient displayed square shoulders,scoliosis,long slender tubular bones,and normal neurological development.Notably,the patient did not exhibit the typical dysmorphic facial features,relative macrocephaly,or growth retardation commonly observed in individuals with 3M syndrome.Whole exon sequencing revealed a novel heterozygous c.56681+1G>C(Splice-3)variant and a previously reported nonsense heterozygous c.3341G>A(p.Trp1114Ter)variant of OBSL1.Therefore,it is important to note that the clinical features of 3M syndrome may not always be observable,and genetic confirmation is often required.Additionally,the identification of the c.5683+1G>C variant in OBSL1 is notewor-thy because it has not been previously reported in public databases.CONCLUSION Our study identified a new variant(c.5683+1G>C)of OBSL1 that contributes to expanding the molecular profile of 3M syndrome. 展开更多

Sepsis is characterized by a severe and life-threatening host immune response to polymicrobial infection accompanied by organ dysfunction.Studies on the therapeutic effect and mechanism of immunomodulatory drugs on the sepsis-induced hyperinflammatory or immunosuppression states of various immune cells remain limited.This study aimed to investigate the protective effects and underlying mechanism of artesunate(ART)on the splenic microenvironment of cecal ligation and puncture-induced sepsis model mice using single-cell RNA sequencing(scRNA-seq)and experimental validations.The scRNA-seq analysis revealed that ART inhibited the activation of pro-inflammatory macrophages recruited during sepsis.ART could restore neutrophils’chemotaxis and immune function in the septic spleen.It inhibited the activation of T regulatory cells but promoted the cytotoxic function of natural killer cells during sepsis.ART also promoted the differentiation and activity of splenic B cells in mice with sepsis.These results indicated that ART could alleviate the inflammatory and/or immunosuppressive states of various immune cells involved in sepsis to balance the immune homeostasis within the host.Overall,this study provided a comprehensive investigation of the regulatory effect of ART on the splenic microenvironment in sepsis,thus contributing to the application of ART as adjunctive therapy for the clinical treatment of sepsis. 展开更多

We propose a high-accuracy artifacts-free single-frame digital holographic phase demodulation scheme for relatively lowcarrier frequency holograms-deep learning assisted variational Hilbert quantitative phase imaging(DL-VHQPI).The method,incorporating a conventional deep neural network into a complete physical model utilizing the idea of residual compensation,reliably and robustly recovers the quantitative phase information of the test objects.It can significantly alleviate spectrum-overlapping-caused phase artifacts under the slightly off-axis digital holographic system.Compared to the conventional end-to-end networks(without a physical model),the proposed method can reduce the dataset size dramatically while maintaining the imaging quality and model generalization.The DL-VHQPI is quantitatively studied by numerical simulation.The live-cell experiment is designed to demonstrate the method's practicality in biological research.The proposed idea of the deep learning-assisted physical model might be extended to diverse computational imaging techniques. 展开更多

目的针对传统验证性实验教学模式存在的问题,探讨基于团队的教学法(team-based learning,TBL)在神经行为学测评实验课教学中的应用效果。方法以2019级临床医学五年制1班(107人)和2班(125人)学生为教学对象,分别采用传统教学法和TBL教学... 目的针对传统验证性实验教学模式存在的问题,探讨基于团队的教学法(team-based learning,TBL)在神经行为学测评实验课教学中的应用效果。方法以2019级临床医学五年制1班(107人)和2班(125人)学生为教学对象,分别采用传统教学法和TBL教学法开展实验课教学。采用个人准备度测试问卷和自制满意度调查问卷,评价各班学生对实验相关理论知识的掌握程度,以及授课教师和学生对TBL教学法的满意度。结果TBL教学组个人准备度测试评分明显高于传统教学组(P<0.001)。参与TBL教学的学生中,91.2%学生表示TBL教学法很有趣,愿意参与TBL教学;79.2%学生认为TBL教学法能够实现将理论知识运用到实践的教学目标;86.4%学生认为团队学习能够提高学习效率;76.0%学生认为TBL教学法有助于自主学习能力及人群现场工作能力的形成。授课教师均认为,与传统教学法相比,TBL教学法可以调动学生的学习积极性,提高其自主学习能力、表达能力和团队合作能力,丰富课堂内容,促进其相关理论知识的掌握和人群现场工作能力的形成。结论将TBL教学法应用于神经行为学测评实验课教学是一次成功的探索实践。 展开更多

In order to develop limonite and decrease CO_(2) emissions,siderite is proposed as a clean reductant for suspension magnetization roasting(SMR) of limonite.An iron concentrate(iron grade:65.92wt%,iron recovery:98.54wt%) was obtained by magnetic separation under the optimum SMR conditions:siderite dosage 40wt%,roasting temperature 700℃,roasting time 10 min.According to the magnetic analysis,SMR achieved the conversion of weak magnetic minerals to strong magnetic minerals,thus enabling the recovery of iron via magnetic separation.Based on the phase transformation analysis,during the SMR process,limonite was first dehydrated and converted to hematite,and then siderite decomposed to generate magnetite and CO,where CO reduced the freshly formed hematite to magnetite.The microstructure evolution analysis indicated that the magnetite particles were loose and porous with a destroyed structure,making them easier to be ground.The non-isothermal kinetic results show that the main reaction between limonite and siderite conformed to the two-dimension diffusion mechanism,suggesting that the diffusion of CO controlled the reaction.These results encourage the application of siderite as a reductant in SMR. 展开更多

The purpose of this study is to apply process mineralogy as a practical tool to further understand and analyze the reasons for low leaching rates in the curing-leaching process of vanadium-bearing stone coal and to find a solution or improvement to optimize the leaching index.Using vanadium-bearing stone coal with the V2O5 mass fraction of 0.88%as the research object,the effects of particle size,mineral composition,and sulfuric acid curing on the feed,intermediate,and final products of curing-leaching were analyzed.The main vanadium-bearing minerals in the feed samples included sericite/illite,montmorillonite,kaolinite,limonite,and schreyerite.Through the penetration depth analysis of sulfuric acid,the reason for the high vanadium content in the coarse leaching residue(0.205%V2O5)was found,mainly due to the poor curing effect and incomplete washing after screening.Therefore,thorough washing after sieving and further optimizing the curing process are necessary.The vanadium content of the fine leaching residue(0.078%)was low and the curing-leaching effect was good.However,the vanadium content in the thickened residue(0.296%)exceeded that in the fine leaching residue,which was attributed to the neutralization reaction in the#1 thickener.To solve this problem,the neutralization and thickening processes should be performed in separate equipment.The analysis and detection of key products is helpful for identifying problems and improving the curing-leaching circuit process. 展开更多

In the history of anti-malaria campaign, chloroquine(CQ) has played an indispensable role, however, its mechanism of action(MoA) is not fully understood.Methods: We used the principle of photo-affinity labeling and click chemistry-based functionalization in the design of a CQ probe and developed a combined deconvolution strategy of activity-based protein profiling(ABPP) and mass spectrometry-coupled cellular thermal shift assay(MS-CETSA) that identified the protein targets of CQ in an unbiased manner in this study. The interactions between CQ and these identified potential protein hits were confirmed by biophysical and enzymatic assays.Results: We developed a novel clickable, photo-affinity chloroquine analog probe(CQP) which retains the antimalarial activity in the nanomole range, and identified a total of 40 proteins that specifically interacted and photocrosslinked with CQP which was inhibited in the presence of excess CQ. Using MS-CETSA, we identified 83 candidate interacting proteins out of a total of 3375 measured parasite proteins. At the same time, we identified 8 proteins as the most potential hits which were commonly identified by both methods.Conclusions: We found that CQ could disrupt glycolysis and energy metabolism of malarial parasites through direct binding with some of the key enzymes, a new mechanism that is different from its well-known inhibitory effect of hemozoin formation. This is the first report of identifying CQ antimalarial targets by a parallel usage of labeled(ABPP)and label-free(MS-CETSA) methods. 展开更多

The widespread use of artemisinin(ART)and its derivatives has significantly reduced the global burden of malaria;however,malaria still poses a serious threat to global health.Although significant progress has been achieved in elucidating the antimalarial mechanisms of ART,the most crucial target proteins and pathways of ART remain unknown.Knowledge on the exact antimalarial mechanisms of ART is urgently needed,as signs of emerging ART resistance have been observed in some regions of the world.Here,we used a combined strategy involving mass spectrometry-coupled cellular thermal shift assay(MS-CETSA)and transcriptomics profiling to identify a group of putative antimalarial targets of ART.We then conducted a series of validation experiments on five prospective protein targets,demonstrating that ART may function against malaria parasites by interfering with redox homeostasis,lipid metabolism,and protein synthesis processes.Taken together,this study provides fresh perspectives on the antimalarial mechanisms of ART and identifies several crucial proteins involved in parasite survival that can be targeted to combat malaria. 展开更多

Prussian blue analogues(PBAs) are considered as superior cathode materials for potassium-ion batteries(PIBs) because of their three-dimensional open framework structure,high stability,and low cost.However,the intrinsic lattice defects and low potassium content typically results in poor rate and cycling performance,thus limited their practical applications.In this work,high-quality K1.64FeFe(CN)6(PW-HQ)material with less crystalline water(6.21%) and high potassium content(1.64 mol^(-1)) was successfully synthesized by a novel coprecipitation method with potassium citrate(K-CA) and potassium chloride(KCl) addition.Specifically,the electrode delivers a reversible capacity of 113.1 mA h g^(-1)at the current rate of 50 mA g^(-1)with~100% coulombic efficiency.Besides,the electrode retained 90% reversible capacity at 500 mA g^(-1)current density after 1000 cycles,indicating only 0.01% capacity decay per cycle.Moreover,we have revealed that the introduction of K-CA controlled the chelating rate of Fe(Ⅱ) and the addition of KCl increased the K+content,hence improving the capacity and stability of the asprepared electrodes.Structural evolution and potassium storage mechanism were further investigated by detailed ex-situ X-ray diffraction and in-situ Raman measurements,which demonstrated reversible potassiation/depotassiation behavior and negligible volume change during the electrochemical process.In general,this work provides an efficient strategy to eliminate water contents in Prussian blue cathode and improve its electrochemical performance,which plays a key role in promoting the industrialization of potassium ion batteries. 展开更多

Bronze phase titanium dioxide(TiO_(2)(B))could be a promising high-power anode for lithium ion battery.However,TiO_(2)(B)is a metastable material,so the as-synthesized samples are inevitably accompanied by the existence of anatase phases.It has been found that the TiO_(2)(B)'s purity is positively correlated with its electrochemical performance.Herein,we have established an accurate quantification of the TiO_(2)(B)/anatase ratio,by figuring out the function between the purity of TiO_(2)(B)phase in the high purity range and its Raman spectra features in combination of the calibration by the synchrotron radiation X-ray diffraction(XRD).Compared with the time-consuming electrochemical method,the rapid,sensitive and non-destructive features of Raman spectroscopy have made it a promising candidate for determining the purity of TiO_(2)(B).Further,the correlations developed in this work should be instructive in synthesizing pure TiO_(2)(B)and furthermore optimizing its electrochemical charge storage properties. 展开更多

As a new type of lightweight structure,metallic lattice structure has higher stiffness and strength to weight ratio.To freely obtain 316L lattice structures with designed cell structure and adjustable porosity,additive manufacturing combined with investment casting was conducted to fabricate the 316L lattice structures with Kelvin cell.The compression simulation of 316L lattice structures with different porosities was carried out by using the finite element method.The numerical simulation results were verified by compression experiment,and the simulated results were consistent with the compression tests.The compressive mechanical properties of 316L lattice structures are directly related to porosity and independent of strut diameters.The 316L lattice structures with Kelvin cell have a smooth stress-strain curve and obvious plastic platform,and the hump stress-strain curves are avoided. 展开更多

Lead-based organic-inorganic hybrid perovskites have exhibited great potential in photovoltaics,achieving power conversion efficiencies(PCEs) exceeding 25%.However,the toxicity of lead and the instability of these materials under moist conditions pose significant barriers to large-scale production.To overcome these limitations,researchers have proposed mixed-valence double perovskites,where Cs_(2)Au~ⅠAu~ⅢI_6 is a particularly effective absorber due to its suitable band gap and high absorptance efficiency.To further extend the scope of these lead-free materials,we varied the trivalent gold ion and halogen anion in Cs_(2)Au~ⅠAu~ⅢI_6,resulting in 18 new structures with unique properties.Further,using first-principles calculations and elimination criteria,we identified four materials with ideal band gaps,small effective carrier mass,and strong anisotropic optical properties.According to theoretical modeling,Cs_(2)AuSbCl_6,Cs_(2)AuInCl_6,and Cs_(2)AuBiCl_6 are potential candidates for solar cell absorbers,with a spectroscopic limited maximum efficiency(SLME) of approximately 30% in a 0.25 μm-thick film.These three compounds have not been previously reported,and therefore,our work provides new insights into potential materials for solar energy conversion.We aim for this theoretical exploration of novel perovskites to guide future experiments and accelerate the development of high-performance photovoltaic devices. 展开更多

Objective:Gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM)is the most common metabolic disorder during pregnancy.LncRNA HLA complex group 27(HCG27)plays a crucial role in various metabolic diseases.However,the relationship between lncRNA HCG27 and GDM is not clear.This study aimed to verify a competing endogenous RNA(ceRNA)interaction regulation axis of miR-378a-3p/mitogen-activated protein kinase 1(MAPK1)regulated by HCG27 in GDM.Methods:LncRNA HCG27 and miR-378a-3p were detected by RT-qPCR.The expression of MAPK1 in umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs)was detected by RT-qPCR and that in the placenta by Western blotting.To explore the relationship among lncRNA HCG27,miR-378a-3p,MAPK1 and the glucose uptake ability of HUVECs,vector HCG27,si-HCG27,miR-378a-3p mimic and inhibitor were transfected to achieve overexpression and inhibition of HCG27 or miR-378a-3p.The interaction between miR-378a-3p and lncRNA HCG27 or MAPK1 was confirmed by the dual-luciferase reporter assay.Besides,glucose consumption by HUVECs was detected by the glucose assay kit.Results:HCG27 expression was significantly decreased in both the placenta and primary umbilical vein endothelial cells,while the expression of miR-378a-3p was significantly increased in GDM tissues,and the expression of MAPK1 was decreased in GDM tissues.This ceRNA interaction regulation axiswas proved to affect the glucose uptake function of HUVECs.The transfection of si-HCG27 could significantly reduce the expression of the MAPK1 protein.If the MAPK1 overexpression plasmid was transfected simultaneously with si-HCG27 transfection,the reduced glucose uptake in HUVECs resulting from the decrease in lncRNA HCG27 was reversed.MiR-378a-3p mimic can significantly reduce the mRNA expression of MAPK1 in HUVECs,whereas miR-378a-3p inhibitor can significantly increase the mRNA expression of MAPK1.The inhibition of miR-378a-3p could restore the decreased glucose uptake of HUVECs treated with si-HCG27.Besides,overexpression of lncRNA HCG27 could restore the glucose uptake ability of the palmitic acid-induced insulin resistance model of HUVECs to normal.Conclusion:LncRNA HCG27 promotes glucose uptake of HUVECs by miR-378a-3p/MAPK1 pathway,which may provide potential therapeutic targets for GDM.Besides,the fetal umbilical cord blood and umbilical vein endothelial cells collected from pregnant women with GDM after delivery could be used to detect the presence of adverse molecular markers of metabolic memory,so as to provide guidance for predicting the risk of cardiovascular diseases and health screening of offspring. 展开更多
