Higher TDS (> 4000 mg/L) and Cl values (> 2000 mg/L) as well as the Chloride: Bicarbonate (HCO3) ratio of more than one clearly support that the sea water intrusion is present in the coastal aquifer at all the three sites. In view of the economic importance of the area and the vulnerability of the coastal aquifer to sea water intrusion recommendations are made for sustainable use of groundwater by the mining companies and other stake holders.展开更多
