By using total volatile organic compounds (TVOC) as the objective volatile pollutant, the purification efficiency of some representative air purifiers bought in the market was determined under the relatively independent and stable environmental conditions supplied by the self-made multi- functional environmental test chamber. Various evaluation parameters of TVOC were calculated based on the tested results, such as purification ef- ficiency and removal rate. The results showed that the TVOC purification efficiency increased with enhancing the temperature or lessening the rela- tive humidity, but this effect is not obvious. The air purifiers which use photocatalytic technology have higher TVOC purification efficiency than those which only use some adsorption technology. The purification efficiency and removal rate can be more accurate to evaluate the purification efficiency of air purifiers. 展开更多

A new method for determination of trace silicon in high purity lanthanum oxide by using electrothermal vaporization (ETV) ICP AES with polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE) slurry as a fluorinating reagent has been proposed. Under the optimized experimental conditions, the fluorination reactions of analyte(Si) and matrix(La) with PTFE in the graphite furnace took place at high temperature, and the fractional volatilily between Si and La was observed. Based on this principle the matrix interference could be eliminated. The detection limit of Si was 4.0 μg·L -1 , and the RSD was 3.4%( C =0.2 mg·L -1 , n =10). The procedure proposed has been applied successfully to determine trace Si in La 2O 3 without any chemical pre treatment. 展开更多

Well-crystallized FeSbO 4 nanorods with rutile-like structure are synthesized through a solid-state reaction and used as cathode material of Li-ion battery for the first time.The obtained nanorods can react with 11 Li-ions per FeSbO 4 unit with a specific discharge capacity of 1 100 1 mAh g between 0.1 and 2.0 V.Three discharge plateaus can be observed during the fully discharging process,but the reversible reaction with 1 Li occurs between 1.5 V and 4.5 V vs.Li + /Li,and the reversible capacity is only 50-80 1 mAh g.FeSbO 4 nanorods have a stable cyclic performance between 1.5 V and 4.5 V and it can be used as cathode material for rechargeable Li-ion battery. 展开更多
