DGE represents impaired gastric motility without significant mechanical obstruction and is associated with an increased length of hospital stay, increased healthcare costs, and a high readmission rate. We reviewed published studies on various technical modifications to reduce the incidence of DGE. Data sources: Studies were identified by searching Pub Med for relevant articles published up to December 2022. The following search terms were used: “pancreaticoduodenectomy”, “pancreaticojejunostomy”, “pancreaticogastrostomy”, “gastric emptying”, “gastroparesis” and “postoperative complications”. The search was limited to English publications. Additional articles were identified by a manual search of references from key articles. Results: In recent years, various surgical procedures and techniques have been explored to reduce the incidence of DGE. Pyloric resection, Billroth II reconstruction, Braun's enteroenterostomy, and antecolic reconstruction may be associated with a decreased incidence of DGE, but more high-powered studies are needed in the future. Neither laparoscopic nor robotic surgery has demonstrated superiority in preventing DGE, and the use of staplers is controversial regarding whether they can reduce the incidence of DGE. Conclusions: Despite many innovations in surgical techniques, there is no surgical procedure that is superior to others to reduce DGE. Further larger prospective randomized studies are needed.展开更多

Until now, high-yield industrial oil and gas flows have been obtained in the dolomitic tuff of the second unit of the Fengcheng Formation, which demonstrates the huge exploration potential of the thick layer of massive dolomitic tuff. The lithology of the second unit of the Fengcheng Formation in this area has gradually transformed from the dolomite, dolomitic tuff to siltstone from east to west. Moreover, the well testing shows that the reservoir is oil-saturated, and the production rate mainly depends on the reservoir’s physical properties and fracture development. In this study, different types of data including core data, well log and seismic data are used cooperatively to characterize the sedimentary, structure and fracture features of the Fengcheng Formation, and then characterize the promising target zone in the study area. The result indicates that hydrocarbons are most accumulated along the deep fault in the Wu-Xia fault zone, which will be the favorable zone for the next progressive exploration.展开更多

This new method is an effective generalization of the original subcell-remapping method to the multi-material regime (LOUBERE, R. and SHASHKOV,M. A subcell remapping method on staggered polygonal grids for arbitrary-Lagrangian-Eulerian methods. Journal of Computational Physics, 209, 105–138 (2005)). A complete remapping procedure of all fluid quantities is described detailedly in this paper. In the pure material regions, remapping of mass and internal energy is performed by using the original subcell-remapping method. In the regions near the material interfaces, remapping of mass and internal energy is performed with the intersection-based fluxes where intersections are performed between the swept regions and pure material polygons in the Lagrangian mesh, and an approximate approach is then introduced for constructing the subcell mass fluxes. In remapping of the subcell momentum, the mass fluxes are used to construct the momentum fluxes by multiplying a reconstructed velocity in the swept region. The nodal velocity is then conservatively recovered. Some numerical examples simulated in the full MMALE regime and several purely cyclic remapping examples are presented to prove the properties of the remapping method.展开更多

An ultrasonic scattered field calculating technique is proposed to study the scattering echo from strongly scattered materials in a two-layer medium in this work. Firstly, with the high frequency stationary phase method, the Green's function of two-layer fluid media is derived. And then based on the idea of integral equation discretization, the Green's function method is extended to two-layer fluid media to derive the scattering field expression of defects in a complex medium. With this method, the scattering field of 3D defect in a two-layer medium is calculated and the characteristics of received echoes are studied. The results show that this method is able to solve the scattering P wave field of 3D defect with arbitrary shape at any scattering intensity in two-layer media. Considering the circumstance of waterimmersion ultrasonic non-destructive test(NDT), the scattering sound field characteristics of different types of defects are analyzed by simulation, which will help to optimize the detection scheme and corresponding imaging method in practice so as to improve the detection quality.展开更多

文摘BACKGROUND Ulcerative colitis is a chronic inflammatory disease of the colon with an unknown etiology.Alkaline sphingomyelinase(alk-SMase)is specifically expressed by intestinal epithelial cells, and has been reported to play an anti-inflammatory role. However, the underlying mechanism is still unclear.AIM To explore the mechanism of alk-SMase anti-inflammatory effects on intestinal barrier function and oxidative stress in dextran sulfate sodium(DSS)-induced colitis.METHODS Mice were administered 3%DSS drinking water, and disease activity index was determined to evaluate the status of colitis.Intestinal permeability was evaluated by gavage administration of fluorescein isothiocyanate dextran, and bacterial translocation was evaluated by measuring serum lipopolysaccharide.Intestinal epithelial cell ultrastructure was observed by electron microscopy.Western blotting and quantitative real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction were used to detect the expression of intestinal barrier proteins and mRNA,respectively.Serum oxidant and antioxidant marker levels were analyzed using commercial kits to assess oxidative stress levels.RESULTS Compared to wild-type(WT)mice,inflammation and intestinal permeability in alk-SMase knockout(KO)mice were more severe beginning 4 d after DSS induction. The mRNA and protein levels of intestinal barrier proteins, including zonula occludens-1,occludin,claudin-3,claudin-5,claudin-8,mucin 2,and secretory immunoglobulin A,were significantly reduced on 4 d after DSS treatment.Ultrastructural observations revealed progressive damage to the tight junctions of intestinal epithelial cells.Furthermore,by day 4,mitochondria appeared swollen and degenerated.Additionally, compared to WT mice, serum malondialdehyde levels in KO mice were higher, and the antioxidant capacity was significantly lower. The expression of the transcription factor nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2(Nrf2)in the colonic mucosal tissue of KO mice was significantly decreased after DSS treatment.mRNA levels of Nrf2-regulated downstream antioxidant enzymes were also decreased. Finally, colitis in KO mice could be effectively relieved by the injection of tertiary butylhydroquinone, which is an Nrf2 activator.CONCLUSION Alk-SMase regulates the stability of the intestinal mucosal barrier and enhances antioxidant activity through the Nrf2 signaling pathway.
文摘Background: Delayed gastric emptying(DGE) is one of the most common complications after pancreaticoduodenectomy(PD). Further larger prospective randomized studies are needed.

文摘We propose an ansatz without adjustable parameters for the calculation of a dynamical structure factor. The ansatz combines the quasi-particle Green’s function, especially the contribution from the renormalization factor, and the exchange-correlation kernel from time-dependent density functional theory together, verified for typical metals and semiconductors from a plasmon excitation regime to the Compton scattering regime. It has the capability to reconcile both small-angle and large-angle inelastic x-ray scattering(IXS)signals with muchimproved accuracy, which can be used as the theoretical base model,in inversely inferring electronic structures of condensed matter from IXS experimental signals directly. It may also be used to diagnose thermal parameters, such as temperature and density,of dense plasmas in x-ray Thomson scattering experiments.
文摘This paper aims to explore how a veteran teacher organizes online teaching initiated by the pandemic and how she deals with the problems in online teacher-student verbal interaction.By analyzing a corpus of 20 audio-recorded online lessons between a math teacher and her students during the COVID-19 pandemic from April 11 to May 10,2022,four interactional segments are selected as the focus of the study. The results of the conversation analysis of the segments showed that students’modesty, lack of confidence, lack of ability, and network delay are the main factors affecting online teacher-student interaction.By encouraging students to answer questions, enlightening students to give answers, enriching students’answers, and entertaining the teaching atmosphere(“4Es”strategies),the teacher solved the problems successfully. The findings from this study can provide pedagogical experience and implications for practical teaching.
文摘Dolomites and eruptive rocks are well-developed in the Permian Fengcheng Formation in Junggar Basin in China, in which oil and gas are accumulated extensively. The result indicates that hydrocarbons are most accumulated along the deep fault in the Wu-Xia fault zone, which will be the favorable zone for the next progressive exploration.

文摘A new flux-based hybrid subcell-remapping algorithm for staggered multimaterial arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian (MMALE) methods is presented. Some numerical examples simulated in the full MMALE regime and several purely cyclic remapping examples are presented to prove the properties of the remapping method.

文摘After the pursuit of seventy years, the invention of polar codes indicates that we have found the first capacity-achieving coding with low complexity construction and decoding, which is the great breakthrough of the coding theory in the past two decades. In this survey,we retrospect the history of polar codes and summarize the advancement in the past ten years.First, the primary principle of channel polarization is investigated such that the basic construction, coding method and the classic successive cancellation(SC)decoding are reviewed.Second,in order to improve the performance of the finite code length,we introduce the guiding principle and conclude five design criteria for the construction, design and implementation of the polar code in the practical communication system based on the exemplar schemes in the literature.Especially,we explain the design principle behind the concatenated coding and rate matching of polar codes in 5G wireless system.Furthermore, the improved SC decoding algorithms, such as SC list(SCL)decoding and SC stack(SCS)decoding etc.,are investigated and compared. Finally, the research prospects of polar codes for the future 6G communication system are explored, including the optimization of short polar codes, coding construction in fading channels, polar coded modulation and HARQ,and the polar coded transmission, namely polar processing.Predictably,as a new coding methodology, polar codes will shine a light on communication theory and unveil a revolution in transmission technology.

文摘Lodging is a critical constraint to yield increase. There appear to be tradeoffs between yield formation and lodging resistance in maize.Hypothetically,it is feasible to reduce lodging risk as well as increase grain yield by optimizing dry-matter allocation to different organs under different environments.A three-year field experiment was conducted using four maize cultivars with differing lodging resistances and five growing environments in 2018–2020.Lodging-susceptible(LS)cultivars on average yielded more than lodging-resistant(LR)cultivars when lodging was not present. The yield components kernel number per ear(KN)and thousand-kernel weight(TKW)were both negatively correlated with lodging resistance traits(stalk bending strength, rind penetration strength, and dry matter weight per internode length). Before silking, the LR cultivar Lishou 1(LS1)transported more assimilates to the basal stem, resulting in a thicker basal stem, which reduced dry matter allocation to the ear and in turn KN.The lower KN of LS1 was also due partly to the lower plant height(PH),which increased lodging resistance but limited plant dry matter production. In contrast, the LS cultivars Xianyu 335(XY335)and Xundan 20(XD20)produced and allocated more photoassimilates to ears, but limited dry matter allocation to stems. After silking,LS cultivars showed higher TKW than LR cultivars as a function of high photoassimilate productivity and high assimilate allocation to the ear.The higher lodging resistance of LS1 was due mainly to the greater assimilate allocation to stem after silking and lower PH and ear height(EH).High-yielding and high-LR traits of Fumin(FM985)were related to optimized EH and stem anatomical structure, higher leaf productivity, low assimilate demand for kernel formation, and assimilate partitioning to ear.A high presilking temperature accelerated stem extension but reduced stem dry matter accumulation and basal stem strength.Post-silking temperature influences lodging resistance and yield more than other environmental factors. These results will be useful in understanding the tradeoffs between KN,KW,and LR in maize and environmental influences on these tradeoffs.

文摘We report an experimental demonstration of geopotential difference measurement using a pair of transportable ^(40)Ca^(+) optical clocks(TOC-729-1 and TOC-729-3)in the laboratory, each of them has an uncertainty of 1.3×10^(−17) and an instability of 4.8×10^(−15)/√τ.Referenced to a stationary clock of TOC-729-1,the geopotential difference measurements are realized by moving TOC-729-3 to three different locations and the relevant altitude differences are measured with uncertainties at the level of 20 cm.After correcting the systematic shifts(including gravitational red shift),the two-clock frequency difference is measured to be–0.7(2.2)×10^(−17),considering both the statistic(1.0×10^(−17))and the systematic(1.9×10^(−17))uncertainties.The frequency difference between these two clocks is within their respective uncertainties, verifying the reliability of transportable ^(40)Ca^(+) optical clocks at the low level of 10^(−17).

文摘The problem of three-dimensional(3D) acoustic scattering in a complex medium has aroused considerable interest of researchers for many years. Considering the circumstance of waterimmersion ultrasonic non-destructive test(NDT), the scattering sound field characteristics of different types of defects are analyzed by simulation, which will help to optimize the detection scheme and corresponding imaging method in practice so as to improve the detection quality.
