This system is generally composed of two signaling factors, a histidine kinase (HK) and a response regulator (RR) that is associated with a histidine phosphotransfer (HP) protein. In this study, we performed systematic investigation on TCS genes in melon (Cucumis melon L.). We identified 44 TCS genes in melon, including 18 HK(L)s (9 HKs and 9 HKLs), 5 HPs (4 authentic and 1 pseudo), and 21 RRs (7 Type-A, 8 Type-B, and 6 pseudo). The classification and structure of these melon TCS members were introduced in detail as well. Our results provided new insights into the characteristics of the melon TCS genes and might benefit their functional study in future.展开更多

The mean grain size exhibits a wide variation ranging from 0.09Φ to 8.05Φ with an average value of 5.33Φ. The average contents of major elements descend in an order of c(SiO_2)>c(Al_2O_3)>c(Fe_2O_3)>c(CaO)>c(MgO)>c(K_2O)>c(Na_2O)>c(TiO_2)>c(P_2O_5)>c(MnO), while those of trace elements exhibit a descending order of c(Sr)>c(Rb)>c(V)>c(Zn)>c(Cr)>c(Pb)>c(Ni)>c(Cu)>c(As). On the basis of elementary distribution characteristics and statistical analyses, the study area is divided into the four zones: Zone I is located in the northeastern coastal area of the gulf, which receives large amount of fluvial materials from local rivers in Guangxi and Guangdong, China, and the Qiongzhou Strait; Zone Ⅱ is located in the center of the study area, where surface sediments exhibits a multiple source; Zone Ⅲ is located in the Qiongzhou Strait, where surface sediments are dominated by materials from the Zhujiang River and Hainan; Zone IV is located in the southwest of the study area, where surface sediments are mainly originated from the Red River and Hainan. The statistical analyses of sediment geochemical characteristics reveal that the grain size, which is mainly influenced by hydrodynamics and mineral composition of terrigenous materials, is the leading factor controlling the elementary distribution.Meanwhile, impacts from anthropogenic activities and marine biogenic process will also be taken into consideration.展开更多

In this work, four samples containing different contents of fumed SiO_2 were prepared to improve the pore size distribution and various properties of b nucleated isotatic polypropylene(b-i PP) biaxial membrane used ...In this work, four samples containing different contents of fumed SiO_2 were prepared to improve the pore size distribution and various properties of b nucleated isotatic polypropylene(b-i PP) biaxial membrane used for lithium-ion battery separator. The wide-angle X-ray diffraction(WAXD) and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) results show that the fumed SiO_2 promotes the formation of b-crystal slightly and narrows down the thickness distribution of b-lamellae; meanwhile, evenly distributed SiO_2 within b-i PP can be inspected by scanning electron microscopy(SEM). Moreover, further detailed characterization of morphological evolutions during biaxial stretching by tensile testing and SEM manifests that SiO_2 can strengthen b-i PP and make the samples deform more homogeneously, resulting in a gradually elaborate and finer oriented microfibril structure after longitudinal stretching, in which more uniform defects distribute between fibrils and restrain the formation of coarse fibrils effectively. Therefore, more superior microporous structure emerges with the addition of SiO_2, accompanied by narrower pore size distribution and better connectivity between microvoids, which is confirmed by mercury porosimeter and diminished Gurley value. Moreover, the lower thermal shrinkage, decreased shrinkage rate and suppressed porosity reduction indicate that fumed SiO_2 improves thermal and dimensional stability of membrane dramatically. Furthermore, due to the excellent wettability of SiO_2 with electrolyte, the microporous membranes doped with SiO_2 have higher electrolyte uptake, even after heat treatment at elevated temperature.展开更多
To acquire candidate non-Saccharomyces strains for preparation of high-quality Vidal icewine,11 representative indigenous non-Saccharomyces strains were selected for analyzing their production of organic acids,phenoli...To acquire candidate non-Saccharomyces strains for preparation of high-quality Vidal icewine,11 representative indigenous non-Saccharomyces strains were selected for analyzing their production of organic acids,phenolic compounds,aroma-active compounds and evaluating their sensory profile in Vidal juice.The results showed that the contents of organic acids in the wines were controlled and balanced well by the non-Saccharomyces strains as well as polyphenol concentrations were well improved during the fermentation.The strains differed from each other in their ability to produce aroma compounds,causing diversity and complexity of aroma characteristics in wine.Fermentation by Saccharomycopsis crataegensis YC30(Sc)and Hanseniaspora uvarum QTX22(Hu)could enhance the sweet and floral notes in Vidal icewine,especially Sc,which has never been reported before.It can not only enrich the aroma categories,but also increase the content ofδ-decalactone,γ-decalactone,ethyl isobutyrate,ethyl butyrate,phenethyl acetic acid,etc.The evaluation and optimization of non-Saccharomyces yeast strains could provide theoretical basis for the improvement of ice wine quality,and supply new ideas and strategies for the brewing of ice wine.展开更多
Background and Aims:Metabolic associated fatty liver disease(MAFLD)is a serious condition,and a simple meth-od is needed for practitioners to identify patients with the disease and have a high risk of disease progress...Background and Aims:Metabolic associated fatty liver disease(MAFLD)is a serious condition,and a simple meth-od is needed for practitioners to identify patients with the disease and have a high risk of disease progression.Meth-ods:We developed and validated a nomogram for fatty liver disease and reclassified the risk factors for MAFLD.The development cohort had 335 patients who received bioel-ectrical impedance analysis and liver ultrasound attenua-tion measurements at Shenzhen People’s Hospital between September 2020 and June 2021.The validation cohort had 200 patients from other hospitals who received the same evaluation.A random forest procedure and binary logistic analysis were used to screen for risk factors,establish a fatty liver disease predictive model,and forecast the risk of MAFLD.The performance of the nomogram was evaluated by measurement of discrimination,calibration,and clinical usefulness.Results:The nomogram provided good predic-tions in a model that included body mass index(BMI)and waist circumference.The areas under the curve of the nom-ogram were 0.793 in the development cohort and 0.774 in the validation cohort.The nomogram performed well for calibration,category-free net reclassification improvement,and integrated discrimination improvement.Decision curve analysis indicated the nomogram performed better than BMI for predicting net outcome.Conclusions:The nomo-gram was an effective screening tool for fatty liver disease,and for those overweight individuals,may help physicians make appropriate decisions regarding treatment of MAFLD.展开更多
