The d-band state of materials is an important descriptor for activity of oxygen evolution reaction(OER).For NiO materials,there is rarely concern about tuning their d-band states to tailor the OER behaviors.Herein,NiO...The d-band state of materials is an important descriptor for activity of oxygen evolution reaction(OER).For NiO materials,there is rarely concern about tuning their d-band states to tailor the OER behaviors.Herein,NiO nanocrystals with doping small amount of La^(3+)were used to regulate d-band states for promoting OER activity.Density of states calculations based on density functional theory revealed that La^(3+)doping produced upper shift of d-band center,which would induce stronger electronic interaction between surface Ni atoms and species of oxygen evolution reaction intermediates.Further density functional theory calculation illustrated that La^(3+)doped NiO possessed reduced Gibbs free energy in adsorbing species of OER intermediate.Predicted by theoretical calculations,trace La^(3+)was introduced into crystal lattice of NiO nanoparticles.The La^(3+)doped NiO nanocrystal showed much promoted OER activity than corresponding pristine NiO product.Further electrochemical analysis revealed that La^(3+)doping into NiO increased the intrinsic activity such as improved active sites and reduced charge transfer resistance.The in-situ Raman spectra suggested that NiO phase in La^(3+)doped NiO could be better maintained than pristine NiO during the OER.This work provides an effective strategy to tune the d-band center of NiO for efficient electrocatalytic OER.展开更多

The protective measures taken for an underground cavern in Chongqing have obvious effects. The results show that cleaning the radiation source in the environment and sealing the gap of the hole can re-duce the natural radiation intensity inside the cavern to a certain extent, reducing the ambient temperature can significantly reduce the natural radiation intensity inside the cavern, the use of press-in ventilation can greatly reduce the natural radiation intensity inside the cavern, the cumulative drop can reach 25.63%, and the protective effect is obvious. These protective measures can be used in underground caverns to improve the safety of military and civilian activities.展开更多
Shield machine may deviate from its design axis during excavation due to the uncertainty of geological environment and the complexity of operation.This study therefore introduced a framework to predict the attitude an...Shield machine may deviate from its design axis during excavation due to the uncertainty of geological environment and the complexity of operation.This study therefore introduced a framework to predict the attitude and position of shield machine by combining long short-term memory(LSTM)model with attention mechanism.The data obtained from the Wuhan Rail Transit Line 6 project were utilized to verify the feasibility of the proposed method.By adding the attention mechanism into the LSTM model,the proposed model can focus more on parameters with higher weights.Sensitivity analysis based on Pearson correlation coefficient was conducted to improve the prediction efficiency and reduce the irrelevant input parameters.Compared with LSTM model,LSTM-attention model has higher accuracy.The mean value of coefficient of determination(R^(2))increases from 0.625 to 0.736,and the mean value of root mean square error(RMSE)decreases from 3.31 to 2.24.The proposed LSTM-attention model can provide an effective prediction for attitude and position of shield machine in practical tunneling engineering.展开更多
Background Anorexia nervosa(AN)has been characterised as a psychiatric disorder associated with increased control.Currently,it remains difficult to predict treatment response in patients with AN.Their cognitive abilit...Background Anorexia nervosa(AN)has been characterised as a psychiatric disorder associated with increased control.Currently,it remains difficult to predict treatment response in patients with AN.Their cognitive abilities are known to be resistant to treatment.It has been established that the frontoparietal control network(FPCN)is the direct counterpart of the executive control network.Therefore,the resting-state brain activity of the FPCN may serve as a biomarker to predict treatment response in AN.Aims The study aimed to investigate the association between resting-state functional connectivity(RSFC)of the FPCN,clinical symptoms and treatment response in patients with AN.Methods In this case-control study,79 female patients with AN and no prior treatment from the Shanghai Mental Health Center and 40 matched healthy controls(HCs)were recruited from January 2015 to March 2022.All participants completed the Questionnaire Versionof the Eating Disorder Examination(version 6.0)to assess the severity of their eating disorder symptoms.Additionally,RSFC data were obtained from all participants at baseline by functional magnetic resonance imaging.Patients with AN underwent routine outpatient treatment at the 4th and 12th week,during which time their clinical symptoms were evaluated using the same measures as at baseline.Results Among the 79 patients,40 completed the 4-week follow-up and 35 completed the 12-week follow-up.The RSFC from the right posterior parietal cortex(PPC)and dorsolateral prefrontal cortex(diPFC)increased in 79 patients with AN vs 40 HCs after controlling for depression and anxiety symptoms.By multiple linear regression,the RSFC of the PPC to the inferior frontal gyrus was found to be a significant factor for self-reported eating disorder symptoms at baseline and the treatment response to cognitive preoccupations about eating and body image,after controlling for age,age of onset and body mass index.The RSFC in the dIPFC to the middle temporal gyrus and the superior frontal gyrus may be significant factors in the treatment response to binge eating and loss of control/overeating in patients with AN.Conclusions Alterations in RSFC in the FPCN appear to affect self-reported eating disorder symptoms and treatment response in patients with AN.Our findings offer new insight into the pathogenesis of AN and could promote early prevention and treatment.展开更多
