Study on the expression and prognostic relationship of MYL6B in liver cancer based on bioinformatics

BACKGROUND Primary liver cancer is a prevalent and deadly cancer type.Despite treatment advances,prognosis remains poor,with high recurrence rates.Early detection is crucial but challenging due to the disease’s insidious nature.Myosin proteins play significant roles in cancer development,influencing cell migration,invasion,and tumor suppression.MYL6B,a myosin light chain,is involved in various cellular processes and has been associated with poor prognosis in colorectal adenocarcinoma and potential as a biomarker in breast cancer.AIM To investigate the expression of MYL6B in liver hepatocellular carcinoma(LIHC)and its impact on prognosis and potential mechanisms of action using bioinformatics methods.METHODS The expression of MYL6B in pan-cancer and normal tissues was analyzed using the gene expression profiling interactive analysis 2 and tumor immune estimation resource databases.The expression level of MYL6B in LIHC tissues and its relationship with prognosis were analyzed,immunohistochemical analysis of MYL6B and its effect on immune cell infiltration,and the protein network were further studied.RESULTS MYL6B was highly expressed in diffuse large b-cell lymphoma,LIHC,pancreatic adenocarcinoma,skin cutaneous melanoma,thymoma,uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma,uterine carcinosarcoma,and lowly expressed in kidney chromophobe,acute myeloid leukemia,testicular germ cell tumors.The expression level of MYL6B was significantly different between cancer and normal tissues.It had a significant impact on both overall survival and disease-free survival.MYL6B is highly expressed in hepatocellular carcinoma and its expression level increases with cancer progression.High MYL6B expression is associated with poor prognosis in terms of overall survival and recurrence-free survival.The immunohistochemical level of MYL6B is high in hepatocellular carcinoma tissues,and MYL6B has a high level of immune infiltration inflammation.In protein network analysis,MYL6B is correlated with MYL2,MYL6,MYL9,MYLK4,MYLK2,MYL12A,MYL12B,MYH11,MYH9 and MYH10.CONCLUSION The expression level of MYL6B in LIHC was significantly higher than in normal liver tissues,and it was correlated with the degree of differentiation survival rate,and immune infiltration.MYL6B is a potential target for LIHC treatment. 展开更多

High Performance Bio-based Polyurethane Elastomers: Effect of Different Soft and Hard Segments 被引量:5

In this work, a series of high performance bio-based polyurethanes(bio-PUs) were synthesized from polylactide(PLA)-based diols, different diisocyanates(TDI, MDI, HDI, IPDI) and chain extender 1,4-butanediol, in which different soft and hard segments are used to adjust their transition temperatures and mechanical properties. Poly(lactide-co-caprolactone)copolymer diols(co-PLAols) instead of PLA diols as the soft segment improved the thermal stability and mechanical properties of the synthesized bio-PUs. Among them, MDI-based bio-PUs have the highest T_g(43.8 °C), tensile strength(23.5 MPa) and modulus(380.8 MPa), while HDI-based bio-PUs have the lowest T_g(21.4 °C) and highest elongation at break(580%). Especially, the bio-PUs synthesized from co-PLAols and MDI demonstrate better mechanical properties,closed to petroleum-based commodities. Furthermore, the obtained bio-PUs display good shape memory properties at body temperature and cytocompatibility. Therefore, these bio-PUs are promising for applications in biomedical fields. 展开更多

Toughening of Poly(propylene carbonate) by Carbon Dioxide Copolymer Poly(urethane-amine) via Hydrogen Bonding Interaction 被引量:2

A carbon dioxide copolymer poly(urethane-amine) (PUA) was blended with poly(propylene carbonate) (PPC) in order to improve the toughness and flexibility of PPC without sacrificing other mechanical properties. Compared with pure PPC, the PPC/PUA blend with 5 wt% PUA loading showed a 400% increase in elongation at break, whilst the corresponding yielding strength remained as high as 33.5 MPa and Young's modulus showed slightly decrease. The intermolecular hydrogen bonding interaction in PPC/PUA blends was comfirmed by FTIR, 2D IR and XPS spectra analysis, and finely dispersed particulate structure of PUA in PPC was observed in the SEM images, which provided good evidence for the toughening mechanism of PPC. 展开更多

Layer-by-layer(LbL)assembly technology is a facile method for constructing thin film composite membrane.Herein,a novel nanofiltration(NF)membrane was prepared by LbL assembly of polyethyleneimine(PEI)and sodium lignosulfonate(LS)followed by cross-linking.The surface composition,morphology,and property of PEI/LS bilayer were detailedly investigated by FTIR/ATR,XPS,SEM,AFM,and water contact angle test.The PEI/LS bilayer full of amino and hydroxyl groups presents increased roughness and improved hydrophilicity.Moreover,the NF performance of PEI/LS LbL assembly membranes can be modulated by bilayer number,polyelectrolyte concentration,and salt content.The water flux reduced while the salt rejection greatly improved as increasing the bilayer numbers,PEI concentration,or NaCl content.More than 95%MgSO4 and MgCl2,as well as 80%NaCl can be rejected by a NF membrane prepared by 6 PEI/LS bilayers,1 wt%PEI,0.5 wt%LS,and 1 mol/L NaCl.Furthermore,this NF membrane can be used to remove more than 95%heavy metal ions(Cd2+,Zn2+,Mn2+,Cr2+,Cu2+,and Ni2+).This work proposed a promising NF membrane by using PEI/LS as low cost polyelectrolytes and facile LbL assembly method,which should receive much attention in water purification. 展开更多

Forward osmosis(FO)as an energy-saving membrane process has attracted much attention in food concentration,water treatment,and desalination.Thin film composite(TFC)membrane is the most popular FO membrane,but it suffers from the internal concentration polarization(ICP),which significantly limits the water flux and FO efficiency.In this report,we demonstrate a novel and high-performing thin film nanocomposite(TFN)membrane that employs a hydrophilic interlayer composed of imogolite nanotubes(INTs)and polydopamine(PDA).The INTs can be adhered to the porous substrate by the self-polymerization of PDA,and the as-prepared PDA/INTs interlayer displays a nanostructured network with outstanding hydrophilicity.The detailed investigation was conducted to understand the relationship between the structure and property of the PDA/INTs interlayer and the morphology and performance of the TFN membrane.The TFN membrane with the PDA/INTs interlayer performs a thinner and smoother polyamide selective layer.Correspondingly,the TFN membrane shows a water flux of 18.38 L·m^(-2)·h^(-1),which is 2.18 times of the pristine TFC membrane.Moreover,the TFN membrane has a minimized structural parameter(577μm),almost a half of that of the pristine one(949μm).It reveals that the ICP effect of TFC membrane can be effectively alleviated by using a hydrophilic PDA/INTs interlayer.This TFN membrane with a satisfactory water permeability is promising in terms of future applications. 展开更多

Platelet-rich fibrin(PRF)is a second-generation platelet concentrate obtained from autologous blood.PRF is composed of abundant platelets,leucocytes,and a high concentration of various growth factors and fibrinogen.The composition and three-dimensional structure of PRF enable it to effectively make cells migrate and proliferate,playing an important role in tissue repair.Furthermore,the easy preparation and low cost of PRF make it a good treatment option.Numerous articles have been published about the application of PRF in clinical practice,however,the application of PRF in dermatology has not been comprehensively reviewed.The objective of this review article was to discuss various applications of PRF in dermatology,including healing chronic wounds,treating androgenic alopecia,skin rejuvenation,autologous fat transplantation,and treating vitiligo.PRF is a promising dermatologic treatment,but lacks a standardized protocol regarding its methods of attainment and use,which needs more investigations. 展开更多
