Patterns in species geographic range size are relatively well-known for vertebrates,but still poorly known for plants.Contrasts of these patterns between groups have rarely been investigated.With a detailed flora and ...Patterns in species geographic range size are relatively well-known for vertebrates,but still poorly known for plants.Contrasts of these patterns between groups have rarely been investigated.With a detailed flora and fauna distribution database of Xinjiang,China,we used regression methods,redundancy analysis and random forests to explore the relationship of environment and body size with the geographic range size of plants,mammals and birds in Xinjiang and contrast these patterns between plants and animals.We found positive correlations between species range size and body size.The range size of plants was more influenced by water variables,while that of mammals and birds was largely influenced by temperature variables.The productivity variable,i.e.,Enhanced Vegetation Index(EVI)was far more correlated with range size than climatic variables for both plants and animals,suggesting that vegetation productivity inferred from remote sensing data may be a good predictor of species range size for both plants and animals.展开更多

However, many studies have shown that radiation can also enhance the ability of tumor cells metastasis, although the lung adenocarcinoma could be killed. The increased metastasis induced by radiation is associated with the activation of STAT3?in lung adenocarcinoma cells. Based on the importance role of?STAT3?in cell proliferation and survival, we can construct an adenovirus vector of?PIAS3 overexpress driven by radiation-induced promoter to inhibit the activation of STAT3 specifically. In this way, when?STAT3 was activated by radiation, the expression of?PIAS3 will be increased at the same time;this lead to the inhibition of invasion and metastasis caused by?STAT3 in lung adenocarcinoma cells. These researches are expected to develop a novel target and method for radiotherapy and molecular therapy of lung adenocarcinoma.展开更多

In the meantime vibrations and noises that seem to have been tolerated in the past, are now more often considered to be a nuisance. Methodology of assessing ground-borne vibrations for railway traffic is presented based on the Federal Railway Administration (FRA) Guidance Manual-High-Speed Ground Transportation Noise and Vibration Impact Assessment. Effectiveness of wave barriers such as open trench, in-filled trench, and piers for reduction of vibrations induced by railways and the procedure for barrier selection are discussed. Learning activities interactions between small groups is a key step in understanding team sports videos.Recent research focusing on team sports videos can be strictly regarded from the perspective of the audience rath...Learning activities interactions between small groups is a key step in understanding team sports videos.Recent research focusing on team sports videos can be strictly regarded from the perspective of the audience rather than the athlete.For team sports videos such as volleyball and basketball videos,there are plenty of intra-team and inter-team relations.In this paper,a new task named Group Scene Graph Generation is introduced to better understand intra-team relations and inter-team relations in sports videos.To tackle this problem,a novel Hierarchical Relation Network is proposed.After all players in a video are finely divided into two teams,the feature of the two teams’activities and interactions will be enhanced by Graph Convolutional Networks,which are finally recognized to generate Group Scene Graph.For evaluation,built on Volleyball dataset with additional 9660 team activity labels,a Volleyball+dataset is proposed.A baseline is set for better comparison and our experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of our method.Moreover,the idea of our method can be directly utilized in another video-based task,Group Activity Recognition.Experiments show the priority of our method and display the link between the two tasks.Finally,from the athlete’s view,we elaborately present an interpretation that shows how to utilize Group Scene Graph to analyze teams’activities and provide professional gaming suggestions.展开更多

CO_(2) is the main source of greenhouse emission,and the environment problem caused by greenhouse effect has drawn worldwide attention.In most oilfields in China,a method of waterflooding is usually used to enhance oi...CO_(2) is the main source of greenhouse emission,and the environment problem caused by greenhouse effect has drawn worldwide attention.In most oilfields in China,a method of waterflooding is usually used to enhance oil recovery,which is favorable to carry out CO_(2) injection study.The CO_(2) injection in the water-flooded oilfields can not only store CO_(2),but also enhance the oil recovery.In this article,the coreflooding tests with refined oil were conducted to investigate CO_(2) displacement characteristic in watersaturated formation under different injection rate and water-flooded oil reservoir under different formation pressure and oil saturation,then the CO_(2) storage capacity was calculated.The testing result shows that the displacement efficiency increases with the rise of the CO_(2) injection rate,and the CO_(2) injection can enhance the oil recovery about 15%OOIP under the experimental condition.When injecting CO_(2) after the waterflooding,the CO_(2) storage capacity increases as the rise of the formation pressure.The core-flooding tests also indicate that when the initial oil saturation of reservoir prior CO_(2) injection is higher,the oil recovery will be higher when injecting the same pore volume(PV)of CO_(2),and the CO_(2) storage capacity will be larger.展开更多
