We report an observation and its diagnosis and treatment. Case report. - An algerian child consulted in emergency unit for appendicitis syndrome. The surgeon discovered an opened hydatid liver cyst. He performed a cystectomy associated with post-operative chemotherapy. Discussion. - Hepatic hydatid disease is frequent in endemic zone. If not complicated, it is often revealed by hepatomegaly. The diagnosis is radiological and mainly serological. Management is medicosurgical. Conclusion. - Prognosis depends on early surgical management. Long-time serological and echographic follow-up is required.展开更多
