The equations for calculation of the buoyancy of the air floated buoy ...In this paper, the buoyancy, kinetic properties and stability of air floated structures have been studied by theoretical and experimental methods. The equations for calculation of the buoyancy of the air floated buoy are derived according to the Boyler law and the equilibrium equations of the air floated structure are established. Through simplification of the air floated structure as a single freedom rigid body and spring system, the natural period of heaving and some kinetic properties are discussed. In the stability analysis, the formulas for calculation of the meta centric height are presented. The theoretical results are in good agreement with the data observed from the model test and prototype test. The air buoyancy decrease coefficient presented in this paper has a large influence on the floating state, stability and dynamic properties of the air floated structure. The stability of the air floated structure can also be judged by the parameter of meta centric height, and calculations show that the air floated structure is less stable than the conventional float.展开更多

However, in active genes of transcriptional state, both regulation sequences and intermediate coding sequences are associated with active transcriptional factors by non-covalent bonds.This paper shows the prospective application of AFM observation and in vitro transcription in the research on gene expression and regulation. It also offers some theoretical basis for localization of specific genes in human genomes.展开更多

This paper propos...Spatial multiplexing systems can provide significant capacity improvement but are sensitive to channel correlation. Antenna selection is a low-cost low-complexity ahemative to resolve these problems. This paper proposes a new transmit antenna selection algorithm for the spatial multiplexing systems with the Vertical-Bell Labs Layered Space-Time (V-BLAST) nonlinear receiver in correlated channel. The proposed scheme separates the optimization into two parts: it first chooses the optimal number of substreams in terms of the singular values of the channel matrix, then adapts the mapping of substreams to antennas according to the post-detection signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). Simulation results illustrate that the proposed two-step selection criterion can provide greater selection gain than the existing singnlar value based selection criterion as SNR and scattering angle increases. The proposed criterion outperforms the existing one by 0.3 dB at a vector symbol error rate of 10^- 3 and scattering angle of 20 degree.展开更多
A coupled regional air-sea model is developed by using the regional climate model (P-σ RCM) and the regional ocean model (POM),which is used to simulate East Asian monsoon and oceanic elements in East Asian coastal w...A coupled regional air-sea model is developed by using the regional climate model (P-σ RCM) and the regional ocean model (POM),which is used to simulate East Asian monsoon and oceanic elements in East Asian coastal waters.The simulated surface layer oceanic elements are basically consistent with the reality and can reflect the interaction between the monsoon and the surface layer currents.The great difference with the reality is “cold drift” of the simulated surface temperature.The coupled model has certain ability to simulate the atmosphere geopotential height fields,precipitation and low-level southwest wind from May to August in 1998.It can display the process of summer monsoon onset during the third dekad of May and the evolution features after the onset.The differences between the simulation results of the coupled model and that of the single P-a RCM are shown mainly in the low-level atmosphere and the model internal regions.展开更多
