Air pollution caused by fine dust is a big problem all over the world and fine dust has a fatal impact on human health.But there are too few fine dust measuring stations and the installation cost of fine dust measuring station is very expensive.In this paper,we propose Cloud-based air pollution information system using R.To measure fine dust,we have developed an inexpensive measuring device and studied the technique to accurately measure the concentration of fine dust at the user’s location.And we have developed the smartphone application to provide air pollution information.In our system,we provide collected data based analytical results through effective data modeling.Our system provides information on fine dust value and action tips through the air pollution information application.And it supports visualization on the map using the statistical program R.The user can check the fine dust statistics map and cope with fine dust accordingly. 展开更多

A smart decontamination device is developed for small-size radioactive scrap metal(SSRSM)arisen from nuclear facilities.The abrasion pin in rotating magnetic field and ultrasonic wave cleaner are used for solving the problems of the second decontamination and high treatment cost.At first,the decontamination efficiency of each device is improved by upgrading the design.Optimal operating conditions are determined for each device.Next,both techniques are applied sequentially.Experimental results show that the efficiency of combined decontamination device is higher than that of each device.With the use of the developed device,the various SSRSMs are decontaminated for 15 min treatment in magnetic abrasion device and15 min treatment in ultrasonic cleaning device.Decontamination index ranges from18 to 56.Absolute values of all decontaminated samples are below the background value. 展开更多

Ethylene oxide(EO)is a sold-out intermediate material for producing various chemicals.Major chemical companies are interested in whether new EO plant can create profit.This research is undertaken to investigate the economic feasibility of EO production.Direct oxidation of ethylene using silver on alpha-Al2O3 catalyst type is adapted to produce EO of 60 000t year.We conduct the conceptual design.Firstly,we synthesize the optimal structure and then determine optimal conditions and the size of the equipments.Feasibility study shows that profit and loss turning point turns out to be 3.2 years based on the present market price.In addition,we conducts the economic analysis to prepare the risk of raw material market price variation ranging from 70% to 130%. 展开更多
