Creatinine level in urine is an important biomarker for renal function diseases,such as renal failure,glomerulonephritis,and chronic nephritis.The Au@MIL-101(Fe)was prepared by in situ growth of Au nanoparticles in MIL-101(Fe)as a selective SERS substrate.The Au@MIL-101(Fe)offers the great local surface plasmon resonance(SPR)effect due to gold nanoparticles aggre-gation inside metal-organic frameworks.The framework structure could enrich trace target samples and drag them into SPR hot spots.The optimal Au@MIL-101(Fe)composite substrate is used for analyzing creatinine in urine and the limit of detection is down to 0.1μmol/L and a linear relationship is ranging from 1μmol/L to 100μmol/L. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Recurrence is the major challenge facing endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD)-based treatment therapies for early gastric cancer(EGC).Urgent development of simple and easy surveillance approaches will enhance clinical treatment of the disease.AIM To explore the role of computed tomography(CT)recurrence in evaluating EGC after ESD treatment.METHODS We retrospectively recruited patients from our endoscopy department,between January 2002 and December 2015,and analyzed their basic characteristics,including symptoms,CT results,and results of endoscopy with biopsy,among others.RESULTS Among a total of 2150 patients EGC patients surveyed,1362 met our inclusion and exclusion criteria and were therefore enrolled in our study.The cohort’s sensitivity of CT for recurrent GC and specificity were 44.22%and 43.86%,respectively,with negative and positive predictive values of 40.15%(275/685)and 48.01%(325/677),respectively.The area under the curve of arterial and venous CT values for recurrent EGC were 0.545,and 0.604,respectively.Receiver operating characteristic curve revealed no statistically significant differences between arterial and venous CT values for recurrent EGC.CONCLUSION Enhanced CT has superior diagnostic efficacy,but less accuracy,compared to gold standard techniques in patients with recurrent EGC. 展开更多

AIM:To investigate whether electroacupuncture(EA)at Zusanli(ST36)prevents intestinal barrier and remote organ dysfunction following prolonged hemorrhagic shock through a vagus anti-inflammatory mechanism.METHODS:Sprague-Dawley rats were subjected to about 45%of total blood volume loss followed by delayed fluid replacement(DFR)with Ringer lactate 3h after hemorrhage.In a first study,rats were randomly divided into six groups:(1)EAN:EA at non-channel acupoints followed by DFR;(2)EA:EA at ST36 after hemorrhage followed by DFR;(3)VGX/EA:vagotomy(VGX)before EA at ST36 and DFR;(4)VGX/EAN:VGX before EAN and DFR;(5)α-bungarotoxin(α-BGT)/EA:intraperitoneal injection ofα-BGT before hemorrhage,followed by EA at ST36 and DFR;and(6)α-BGT/EAN group:α-BGT injection before hemorrhage followed by EAN and DFR.Survival and mean arterial pressure(MAP)were monitored over the next 12 h.In a second study,with the same grouping and treatment,cytokine levels in plasma and intestine,organ parameters,gut injury score,gut permeability to 4 kDa FITC-dextran,and expression and distribution of tight junction protein ZO-1 were evaluated.RESULTS:MAP was significantly lowered after blood loss;EA at ST36 improved the blood pressure at corresponding time points 3 and 12 h after hemorrhage.EA at ST36 reduced tumor necrosis factor-αand interleukin(IL)-6 levels in both plasma and intestine homogenates after blood loss and DFR,while vagotomy or intraperitoneal injection ofα-BGT before EA at ST36reversed its anti-inflammatory effects,and EA at ST36did not influence IL-10 levels in plasma and intestine.EA at ST36 alleviated the injury of intestinal villus,the gut injury score being significantly lower than that of EAN group(1.85±0.33 vs 3.78±0.59,P<0.05).EA at ST36 decreased intestinal permeability to FITCdextran compared with EAN group(856.95 ng/mL±90.65 ng/mL vs 2305.62 ng/mL±278.32 ng/mL,P<0.05).EA at ST36 significantly preserved ZO-1 protein expression and localization at 12 h after hemorrhage.However,EA at non-channel acupoints had no such effect,and abdominal vagotomy andα-BGT treatment could weaken or eliminate the effects of EA at ST36.Besides,EA at ST36 decreased blood aminotransferase,MB isoenzyme of creatine kinase and creatinine vs EAN group at corresponding time points.At the end of 12-h experiment,the survival rate of the EA group was significantly higher than that of the other groups.CONCLUSION:EA at ST36 attenuates the systemic inflammatory response,protects intestinal barrier integrity,improves organ function and survival rate after hemorrhagic shock via activating the cholinergic antiinflammatory mechanism. 展开更多

AIM:To investigate whether electroacupuncture ST36 activates enteric glial cells,and alleviates gut inflammation and barrier dysfunction following hemorrhagic shock.METHODS:Sprague-Dawley rats were subjected to approximately 45% total blood loss and randomly divided into seven groups:(1) sham:cannulation,but no hemorrhage;(2) subjected to hemorrhagic shock(HS);(3) electroacupuncture(EA) ST36 after hemorrhage;(4) vagotomy(VGX)/EA:VGX before hemorrhage,then EA ST36;(5) VGX:VGX before hemorrhage;(6) a-bungarotoxin(BGT)/EA:intraperitoneal injection of a-BGT before hemorrhage,then EA ST36; and(7) a-BGT group:a-BGT injection before hemorrhage.Morphological changes in enteric glial cells(EGCs) were observed by immunofluorescence,and glial fibrillary acidic protein(GFAP; a protein marker of enteric glial activation) was evaluated using reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction and western blot analysis.Intestinal cytokine levels,gut permeability to 4-k Da fluorescein isothiocyanate(FITC)-dextran,and the expression and distribution of tight junction protein zona occludens(ZO)-1 were also determined.RESULTS:EGCs were distorted following hemorrhage and showed morphological abnormalities.EA ST36 attenuated the morphological changes in EGCs at 6 h,as compared with the VGX,a-BGT and HS groups.EA ST36 increased GFAP expression to a greater degree than in the other groups.EA ST36 decreased intestinal permeability to FITC-dextran(760.5 ± 96.43 ng/m L vs 2466.7 ± 131.60 ng/m L,P < 0.05) and preserved ZO-1 protein expression and localization at 6 h afterhemorrhage compared with the HS group.However,abdominal VGX and a-BGT treatment weakened or eliminated the effects of EA ST36.EA ST36 reduced tumor necrosis factor-a levels in intestinal homogenates after blood loss,while vagotomy or intraperitoneal injection of a-BGT before EA ST36 abolished its antiinflammatory effects.CONCLUSION:EA ST36 attenuates hemorrhageinduced intestinal inflammatory insult,and protects the intestinal barrier integrity,partly via activation of EGCs. 展开更多

AIM: To investigate whether dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO) inhibits gut inflammation and barrier dysfunction following zymosan-induced systemic inflammatoryresponse syndrome and multiple organ dysfunction syndrome.METHODS: Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into four groups: sham with administration of normal saline(SS group); sham with administration of DMSO(SD group); zymosan with administration of normal saline(ZS group); and zymosan with administration of DMSO(ZD group). Each group contained three subgroups according to 4 h,8 h,and 24 h after surgery. At 4 h,8 h,and 24 h after intraperitoneal injection of zymosan(750 mg/kg),the levels of intestinal inflammatory cytokines [tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α) and interleukin(IL)-10] and oxides(myeloperoxidase,malonaldehyde,and superoxide dismutase) were examined. The levels of diamine oxidase(DAO) in plasma and intestinal mucosal blood flow(IMBF) were determined. Intestinal injury was also evaluated using an intestinal histological score and apoptosis of intestinal epithelial cells was determined by deoxynucleotidyl transferase d UTP nick end labeling(TUNEL) assay. The intestinal epithelial tight junction protein,ZO-1,was observed by immunofluorescence.RESULTS: DMSO decreased TNF-α and increased IL-10 levels in the intestine compared with the ZS group at the corresponding time points. The activity of intestinal myeloperoxidase in the ZS group was higher than that in the ZD group 24 h after zymosan administration(P < 0.05). DMSO decreased the content of malondialdehyde(MDA) and increased the activity of superoxide dehydrogenase(SOD) 24 h after zymosan administration. The IMBF was lowest at 24 h and was 49.34% and 58.26% in the ZS group and ZD group,respectively(P < 0.05). DMSO alleviated injury in intestinal villi,and the gut injury score was significantly lower than the ZS group(3.6 ± 0.2 vs 4.2 ± 0.3,P < 0.05). DMSO decreased the level of DAO in plasma compared with the ZS group(65.1 ± 4.7 U/L vs 81.1 ± 5.0 U/L,P < 0.05). DMSO significantly preserved ZO-1 protein expression and localization 24 h after zymosan administration. The TUNEL analysis indicated that the number of apoptotic intestinal cells in the ZS group was much higher than the ZD group(P < 0.05).CONCLUSION: DMSO inhibited intestinal cytokines and protected against zymosan-induced gut barrier dysfunction. 展开更多

Yutu is the first lunar rover after the Apollo program and Luna missions. One of the payloads on the Yutu rover, the Visible and Near-infrared Imaging Spectrometer (VNIS), has acquired four VIS/NIR images and SWIR spectra near its landing site in Mare Imbrium. The radiance images were reduced through repairing bad lines and bad points, and applying flat field correction, and then were converted into reflectance values based on the solar irradiance and angles of incidence. A significant shadow effect was observed in the VIS/NIR image. The shadowed regions show lower reflectance with a darkening trend compared with illuminated regions. The re- flectance increased by up to 24% for entire images and 17% for the VIS/NIR-SWlR overlapping regions after shadow correction. The correction for the shadow effect will remarkably decrease the estimate of FeO content, by up to 4.9 wt.% in this study. The derived FeO contents of CD-005-008 after shadow correction are around 18.0 wt.%. 展开更多

Lunar soil preserves numerous fragments of meteorites impacting on the Moon,providing a unique opportunity to investigate the distribution of the types of projectiles over billions of years.Here we report the first discovery of an iron meteorite fragment from the Chang’e-5 lunar soil,which consists mainly of martensite(quenched from taenite),kamacite,and schreibersite,with a trace of pentlandite.The meteorite fragment is Ni-and P-rich,S-poor,and based on its mineral chemistry and bulk composition,can be classified into the IID-group,a rare and carbonaceous group of iron meteorite originating in the outer Solar System.This meteorite fragment experienced only limited partial melting followed by fast cooling,suggestive of efficient preservation of intact remnants of iron meteorites impacting on the porous lunar regolith.Alternatively,it is a relic of a low-velocity impact of submillimeter-sized metal grains originated from an IID-like iron meteorite.Our observations demonstrate that it is feasible to achieve the type distribution of meteorites impacting on the Moon via systematically analyzing a large number of metal grains separated from lunar soils,thus shedding light on the dynamic evolution of the Solar System. 展开更多

曼桂陨石是2018年6月降落在云南省西双版纳傣族自治州的目击降落型陨石.陨石样品具有新鲜的熔壳,内部呈浅灰色,可见黑色冲击熔融细脉.该陨石主要由橄榄石、辉石、长石以及较少的铁镍金属、陨硫铁、磷灰石等组成.手标本虽可见球粒特征,... 曼桂陨石是2018年6月降落在云南省西双版纳傣族自治州的目击降落型陨石.陨石样品具有新鲜的熔壳,内部呈浅灰色,可见黑色冲击熔融细脉.该陨石主要由橄榄石、辉石、长石以及较少的铁镍金属、陨硫铁、磷灰石等组成.手标本虽可见球粒特征,但背散射电子图像显示球粒界线模糊,残余球粒为斑状橄榄石球粒,基质呈现强烈重结晶特征,次生长石粒度较大,橄榄石和辉石的化学成分均一,可判定其岩石类型为6型.橄榄石的平均Fa值为25.1±0.3(n=71),辉石的平均Fs值为21.1±0.3(n=58),金属含量低,属于L化学群.因此,曼桂陨石是L6型普通球粒陨石.曼桂陨石遭受过强烈的冲击,冲击熔脉和熔融囊广泛发育,熔脉宽度可达600μm.熔脉内及边部的长石已经转变成熔长石,且部分长石转变成硬玉;发现辉石的镁铁榴石高压相,与硬玉伴生.根据这些强烈冲击变质特征,将曼桂陨石的冲击变质强度划分为S5级.尚未在熔脉及边部发现橄榄石、磷酸盐的高压相矿物.这些高压矿物相的缺失,可能是由于该陨石在冲击熔融后的冷却速率较慢,形成的高压相矿物发生了退变质.这些特征表明,曼桂陨石经历过强烈的撞击熔融事件,为研究其母体的撞击历史和高压相的形成机制提供了重要标本. 展开更多

A decrease in microbial infection in adolescents is implicated with an increase in the incidence of asthma and allergic diseases in adulthood,indicating that the microbiome plays a critical role in asthma.However,the microbial composition of the lower respiratory tract remains unclear,hindering the further exploration of the pathogenesis of asthma.This study aims to explore the microbial distribution and composition in the lungs of normal rats and rats with allergic asthma via 16S rDNA sequencing.The DNA of the pulmonary microbiome was extracted from the left lungs collected from normal control group(NC),saline control group(SC),and allergic asthma group(AA)under aseptic conditions.After the 16s rDNA V4eV5 region was amplified,the products were sequenced using Illumina high-throughput technology and subjected to operational taxonomic unit(OTU)cluster and taxonomy analysis.The OTU values of AA increased significantly compared with those of NC and SC.Microbiome structure analysis showed that the dominant phylum of the pulmonary microbiome changed from Proteobacteria in NC to Firmicutes in AA.Linear discriminant analysis indicated that the key microbiomes involved in the three groups varied. 展开更多

The Chang’e-5 mission returned new lunar samples after the last sample mission of the Moon 44 years ago,and is also the first mission that China has completed the sampling of extraterrestrial bodies.Recently,independent teams from the Institute of Geology,Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences,and the National Astronomical Observatories and the Institute of Geology and Geophysics,Chinese Academy of Sciences reported the first batch of results of Chang’e-5 lunar samples.The basic physical properties of the Chang’e-5 soil are within the range of the Apollo and Luna samples though the Chang’e-5 soil is finer-grained,better sorted,and has a slightly lower true density than the mare basalt previosuly reported.The Pb-Pb dating of U-rich minerals in the Chang’e-5 basalt clasts indicated that they formed at about 2.0 Ga,800 million years younger than the youngest lunar sample recovered previously(2.8 Ga),confirming that lunar volcanic activity can last at least until 2 Ga.In-situ Sr-Nd isotope analyses suggested that the Chang’e-5 basalt originated from a depleted mantle source.The contribution of the KREEP component is less than 5%,which excluded the hypothesis that KREEP-rich sources provide an additional heat source for mantle melting.In addition,water contents and H isotopes of apatite and melt inclusions of the Chang’e-5 basalt suggested that the source region is not rich in water which can lower the melting point.Therefore,the reason why lunar volcanic activity can last so long is still unclear,which is a new direction for future lunar exploration and research. 展开更多

Lunar exploration is deemed crucial for uncovering the origins of the Earth-Moon system and is the first step for advancing humanity’s exploration of deep space.Over the past decade,the Chinese Lunar Exploration Program(CLEP),also known as the Chang’e(CE)Project,has achieved remarkable milestones.It has successfully developed and demonstrated the engineering capability required to reach and return from the lunar surface.Notably,the CE Project has made historic firsts with the landing and on-site exploration of the far side of the Moon,along with the collection of the youngest volcanic samples from the Procellarum KREEP Terrane.These achievements have significantly enhanced our understanding of lunar evolution.Building on this success,China has proposed an ambitious crewed lunar exploration strategy,aiming to return to the Moon for scientific exploration and utilization.This plan encompasses two primary phases:the first crewed lunar landing and exploration,followed by a thousand-kilometer scale scientific expedition to construct a geological cross-section across the lunar surface.Recognizing the limitations of current lunar exploration efforts and China’s engineering and technical capabilities,this paper explores the benefits of crewed lunar exploration while leveraging synergies with robotic exploration.The study refines fundamental lunar scientific questions that could lead to significant breakthroughs,considering the respective engineering and technological requirements.This research lays a crucial foundation for defining the objectives of future lunar exploration,emphasizing the importance of crewed missions and offering insights into potential advancements in lunar science. 展开更多
