To study these properties, a high-resolution atmospheric pressure inlet time-of-flight mass spectrometry (APi-TOF-MS) study of the sequential sodium halides series, C1-(NaC1)n and Br-(NaBr)m, has been reported, and the viability of the APi-TOF- MS equipped with an electrospray ionization source in determining cluster compositions has been demonstrated. The isotopic patterns were well resolved, as n=4 and 7 were determined to be the magic numbers for C1-(NaC1)n clusters, which were particularly abundant in the mass spectra. A global minimum search based on density functional theory enabled basin hopping yield the most stable structures for the mentioned series. The structures exhibit several distinct motifs which can be roughly categorized as linear chain, rock salt, and hexag- onal ring. This work provides an effective way to discover and elucidate the nonstoichiometry sodium halide clusters. These clusters possess very high vertical detachment energies and are generally called as superhalogens, which play important roles in chemistry because they are widely used in the synthesis of new classes of charge-transfer salts.展开更多
Objective:To compare the effectiveness of Xiaochaihu Decoction(XCHD)or the modified XCHD combined with western medicine in the treatment of superficial gastritis.Methods:We collected the studies about XCHD or the modi...Objective:To compare the effectiveness of Xiaochaihu Decoction(XCHD)or the modified XCHD combined with western medicine in the treatment of superficial gastritis.Methods:We collected the studies about XCHD or the modified XCHD combined with western medicine for superficial gastritis in China Biology Medicine(CBM)Database(2010-2018),China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)Database(2010-2018),VIP Database(2010-2018),Wanfang Database(2010-2018)and the Back Issues Database of Hebei University.The randomized controlled trials(RCTs)were included in this study.The literatures were independently extracted by two researchers and the Cochrane Review Handbook(version 5.1.0)was applied to assess the quality of included trials.Statistical analysis was performed with RevMan(version 5.3).Results:A total of 8 RCTs,including 732 cases,were included finally.Meta-analysis results showed that compared with the western medicine treatment group,XCHD or the modified XCHD combined with western medicine could improve the total effective rate[OR=4.67,95%CI(2.90,7.55),P<0.00001],physiological function[MD=10,95%CI(8.78,11.23),P<0.00001],role physical[MD=13.85,95%CI(11.19,16.51),P<0.00001],physical pain[MD=11.64,95%CI(9.05,14.23),P<0.00001],general health[MD=11.20,95%CI(9.52,12.88),P<0.00001],vitality[MD=13.46,95%CI(12.30,14.62),P<0.00001],social function[MD=19.20,95%CI(17.32,21.09),P<0.00001],affection function[MD=30.3,95%CI(28.99,31.62),P<0.00001],mental health[MD=9.80,95%CI(8.44,11.16),P<0.00001].Conclusion:XCHD or the modified XCHD combined with western medicine in the treatment of superficial gastritis has good performance in clinical efficacy and the improvement of quality of life.However,with several methodology problems existing in the included RCTs,the effectiveness of XCHD or the modified XCHD is still need more high-quality randomized,double-blind,placebo-controlled trials to further confirmed.展开更多

Critics have raised doubts about the ability of a new node to quickly and efficiently synchronize with the Bitcoin network and alleviate the storage pressure from existing full nodes to stockpile new data. Basic pruning and other techniques have been explored to address these concerns but have been insufficient to reduce node synchronization delay and effectively suppress the growth of synchronized data. In this study, we propose SnapshotPrune, a novel pruning and synchronization protocol that achieves fast node bootstrapping in the Bitcoin blockchain. Real Bitcoin historical data are leveraged to measure the synchronization time and monitor the network traffic during node bootstrapping. The protocol requires data downloads that are 99.70% less than Bitcoin Core, 81% less than CoinPrune, and 60% less than SnapshotSave, thereby saving 97.23% of download time. Findings show that the proposed design enhances the storage efficiency and reduces the node synchronization delay compared with existing techniques. We hypothesize that the efficiency of this protocol increases with the block height.展开更多
Abnormal geneexpression playskeyrole in cancerdevelopment.Acorepromoter is located around the transcriptional start site.Through interaction between core promoter sequences and transcriptional factors,core promoter co...Abnormal geneexpression playskeyrole in cancerdevelopment.Acorepromoter is located around the transcriptional start site.Through interaction between core promoter sequences and transcriptional factors,core promoter controls transcriptional initiation.We hypothesized that in cancer,core promoter sequences could be mutated to interfere the interaction with transcriptional factors,resulting in altered transcriptional initiation and abnormal gene expression and cancer development.We used triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)as a model to test our hypothesis.We collected genome-wide core promoter variants from 279 TNBC genomes.After extensive filtering of normal genomic polymorphism,we identified 19,427 recurrent somatic variants in 1,238 core promoters of 1,274 genes and 1,694 recurrent germline variants in 272 core promoters of 294 genes.Many of the affected genes were oncogenes and tumor suppressors.Analysis of RNA-seq data from the same patient cohort identified increased or decreased gene expression in 439 somatic and 85 germline variantsaffected genes,and the results were validated by luciferase reporter assay.By comparing with the core promoter variation data from 610 unclassified breast cancer,we observed that core promoter variants in TNBC were highly TNBC-specific.We further identified the drugs targeting the genes with core promoter variation.Our study demonstrates that core promoter is highly mutable in cancer,and can play etiological roles in TNBC and other types of cancer through influencing transcriptional initiation.展开更多
A randomized,double-blind,placebo-controlled multicenter trial was conducted in healthy Chinese infants to assess the efficacy and safety of a hexavalent live human-bovine reassortant rotavirus vaccine(HRV)against rot...A randomized,double-blind,placebo-controlled multicenter trial was conducted in healthy Chinese infants to assess the efficacy and safety of a hexavalent live human-bovine reassortant rotavirus vaccine(HRV)against rotavirus gastroenteritis(RVGE).A total of 6400 participants aged 6-12 weeks were enrolled and randomly assigned to either HRV(n?3200)or placebo(n?3200)group.All the subjects received three oral doses of vaccine four weeks apart.The vaccine efficacy(VE)against RVGE caused by rotavirus serotypes contained in HRV was evaluated from 14 days after three doses of administration up until the end of the second rotavirus season.VE against severe RVGE,VE against RVGE hospitalization caused by serotypes contained in HRV,and VE against RVGE,severe RVGE,and RVGE hospitalization caused by natural infection of any serotype of rotavirus were also investigated.All adverse events(AEs)were collected for 30 days after each dose.Serious AEs(SAEs)and intussusception cases were collected during the entire study.Our data showed that VE against RVGE caused by serotypes contained in HRV was 69.21%(95%CI:53.31-79.69).VE against severe RVGE and RVGE hospitalization caused by serotypes contained in HRV were 91.36%(95%CI:78.45-96.53)and 89.21%(95%CI:64.51-96.72)respectively.VE against RVGE,severe RVGE,and RVGE hospitalization caused by natural infection of any serotype of rotavirus were 62.88%(95%CI:49.11-72.92),85.51%(95%CI:72.74-92.30)and 83.68%(95%CI:61.34-93.11).Incidences of AEs from the first dose to one month post the third dose in HRV and placebo groups were comparable.There was no significant difference in incidences of SAEs in HRV and placebo groups.This study shows that this hexavalent reassortant rotavirus vaccine is an effective,well-tolerated,and safe vaccine for Chinese infants.展开更多
Escherichia coli is a model organism with a clear genetic background that is widely used in metabolic engineering and synthetic biology research.To gain a complete picture of the complexly metabolic and regulatory int...Escherichia coli is a model organism with a clear genetic background that is widely used in metabolic engineering and synthetic biology research.To gain a complete picture of the complexly metabolic and regulatory interactions in E.coli,researchers often need to retrieve information from various databases which cover diferent types of interactions.A central one-stop service integrating various molecular interactions in E.coli would be helpful for the community.We constructed a database called E.coli integrated network(EcoIN)by integrating known molecular interaction information from databases and literature.EcoIN contains nearly 160,000 pairs of interactions and users can easily search the diferent types of interacting partners for a metabolite,gene or protein,and thus gain access to a more comprehensive interaction map of E.coli.To illustrate the application of EcoIN,we used the full path algorithm to identify metabolic feedback/feedforward regulatory loops having at least two diferent types of regulatory interactions.Applying this algorithm to analyze the regulatory loops for the amino acid biosynthetic pathways,we found some multi-step regulation loops which may afect the metabolic fux and are potential new engineering targets.The EcoIN database is freely accessible at http://ecoin.ibiodesign.net/and analysis codes are available at GitHub:https://github.com/maozhitao/EcoIN.展开更多

It is not common that the two diseases occur simultaneously in the same patient in clinical practice. Here, we reported a case of meeting the diagnostic criteria for both AS and RA, who was treated with integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine and received apparent improvement.

文摘Node synchronization is essential for the stability of the Bitcoin network. Critics have raised doubts about the ability of a new node to quickly and efficiently synchronize with the Bitcoin network and alleviate the storage pressure from existing full nodes to stockpile new data. Basic pruning and other techniques have been explored to address these concerns but have been insufficient to reduce node synchronization delay and effectively suppress the growth of synchronized data. In this study, we propose SnapshotPrune, a novel pruning and synchronization protocol that achieves fast node bootstrapping in the Bitcoin blockchain. Real Bitcoin historical data are leveraged to measure the synchronization time and monitor the network traffic during node bootstrapping. The protocol requires data downloads that are 99.70% less than Bitcoin Core, 81% less than CoinPrune, and 60% less than SnapshotSave, thereby saving 97.23% of download time. Findings show that the proposed design enhances the storage efficiency and reduces the node synchronization delay compared with existing techniques. We hypothesize that the efficiency of this protocol increases with the block height.

文摘Abnormal geneexpression playskeyrole in cancerdevelopment.Acorepromoter is located around the transcriptional start site.Through interaction between core promoter sequences and transcriptional factors,core promoter controls transcriptional initiation.We hypothesized that in cancer,core promoter sequences could be mutated to interfere the interaction with transcriptional factors,resulting in altered transcriptional initiation and abnormal gene expression and cancer development.We used triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)as a model to test our hypothesis.We collected genome-wide core promoter variants from 279 TNBC genomes.After extensive filtering of normal genomic polymorphism,we identified 19,427 recurrent somatic variants in 1,238 core promoters of 1,274 genes and 1,694 recurrent germline variants in 272 core promoters of 294 genes.Many of the affected genes were oncogenes and tumor suppressors.Analysis of RNA-seq data from the same patient cohort identified increased or decreased gene expression in 439 somatic and 85 germline variantsaffected genes,and the results were validated by luciferase reporter assay.By comparing with the core promoter variation data from 610 unclassified breast cancer,we observed that core promoter variants in TNBC were highly TNBC-specific.We further identified the drugs targeting the genes with core promoter variation.Our study demonstrates that core promoter is highly mutable in cancer,and can play etiological roles in TNBC and other types of cancer through influencing transcriptional initiation.

文摘A randomized,double-blind,placebo-controlled multicenter trial was conducted in healthy Chinese infants to assess the efficacy and safety of a hexavalent live human-bovine reassortant rotavirus vaccine(HRV)against rotavirus gastroenteritis(RVGE).A total of 6400 participants aged 6-12 weeks were enrolled and randomly assigned to either HRV(n?3200)or placebo(n?3200)group.All the subjects received three oral doses of vaccine four weeks apart.The vaccine efficacy(VE)against RVGE caused by rotavirus serotypes contained in HRV was evaluated from 14 days after three doses of administration up until the end of the second rotavirus season.VE against severe RVGE,VE against RVGE hospitalization caused by serotypes contained in HRV,and VE against RVGE,severe RVGE,and RVGE hospitalization caused by natural infection of any serotype of rotavirus were also investigated.All adverse events(AEs)were collected for 30 days after each dose.Serious AEs(SAEs)and intussusception cases were collected during the entire study.Our data showed that VE against RVGE caused by serotypes contained in HRV was 69.21%(95%CI:53.31-79.69).VE against severe RVGE and RVGE hospitalization caused by serotypes contained in HRV were 91.36%(95%CI:78.45-96.53)and 89.21%(95%CI:64.51-96.72)respectively.VE against RVGE,severe RVGE,and RVGE hospitalization caused by natural infection of any serotype of rotavirus were 62.88%(95%CI:49.11-72.92),85.51%(95%CI:72.74-92.30)and 83.68%(95%CI:61.34-93.11).Incidences of AEs from the first dose to one month post the third dose in HRV and placebo groups were comparable.There was no significant difference in incidences of SAEs in HRV and placebo groups.This study shows that this hexavalent reassortant rotavirus vaccine is an effective,well-tolerated,and safe vaccine for Chinese infants.

文摘Escherichia coli is a model organism with a clear genetic background that is widely used in metabolic engineering and synthetic biology research.To gain a complete picture of the complexly metabolic and regulatory interactions in E.coli,researchers often need to retrieve information from various databases which cover diferent types of interactions.A central one-stop service integrating various molecular interactions in E.coli would be helpful for the community.We constructed a database called E.coli integrated network(EcoIN)by integrating known molecular interaction information from databases and literature.EcoIN contains nearly 160,000 pairs of interactions and users can easily search the diferent types of interacting partners for a metabolite,gene or protein,and thus gain access to a more comprehensive interaction map of E.coli.To illustrate the application of EcoIN,we used the full path algorithm to identify metabolic feedback/feedforward regulatory loops having at least two diferent types of regulatory interactions.Applying this algorithm to analyze the regulatory loops for the amino acid biosynthetic pathways,we found some multi-step regulation loops which may afect the metabolic fux and are potential new engineering targets.The EcoIN database is freely accessible at http://ecoin.ibiodesign.net/and analysis codes are available at GitHub:https://github.com/maozhitao/EcoIN.
