The metabolic feature of pigs after intake of corn-soybean meal or casein-starch diets are largely unknown. Therefore, this study was conducted to investigate the dynamic postprandial changes of plasma metabolic profile using growing pigs using metabolomics. Methods: Twenty-four growing pigs with average initial body weight(BW) about 30 kg were placed in metabolic cages and then fitted with precaval vein catheters. Pigs were fed daily 4% of initial body weight. Two experimental diets were included:(i) a starch-casein based purified diet(PD) and(ii) a common corn-soybean meal diet(CD).Plasma was collected before feeding and 0.5 h, 1 h, 2 h, 4 h, 8 h after feeding. Results: In both diets, compared to prior to feeding, the concentrations of glucose, most amino acids, metabolites such as 5-aminopentanoic acid, pipecolic acid, ornithine and 5-hydroxy-L-tryptophan were significantly increased in plasma during the first hour, whereas the concentrations of plasma triglycerides, glutamate, glycine, palmitelaidic acid, 13-HODE and oleic acid were decreased in the first hour. Compared with PD group, concentration of plasma leucine and isoleucine declined at 30 min in CD group. Plasma linoleic acid, sphingosine and many dipeptides were significantly higher in pigs fed CD.Conclusion: Most significant metabolic changes occurred during the first hour after feeding and then became relatively stable after 2 h in both diets. These results show a broad scope picture of postprandial changes in plasma metabolites after intake of PD and CD and could be a reference for further nutrition intervention as well as the design of nutritional studies.展开更多

The 14 profiles of the following soil types in different zones are collected: brown earths in arid and semi-arid regions covered by C3 forests, yellow earths in humid zone covered by shrubs and forest, sandy loess from arid area covered by sparse vegetation, Ioess-paleosols in arid and semi-arid regions covered by C3/C4 grassland, yellow soils and paleosols in semi humid regions covered by C3/C4 grassland and yellow earths in humid areas covered by C3/C4 grassland. The measurement of δ^3Corg and standardized testing of the organic carbon are carried with above-mentioned profiles. An unified and skewed trend is not observed in the variation of δ^3C values in these profiles. A discussion about the causes of distribution features is held in this essay. [Result] If the measurement of δ^3C in the organic matters of paleosols is adopted in order to precisely rebuild the historical vegetation cover, the kinetic fractionation should be taken into consideration to calculate the 6TM Corg in the prolife from the soils that is exclusively covered by C3 plants; the δ^3 Corg in the organic matters of the sand loess in the arid regions is affected by the contribution from basis; during the long-term decomposition of the organic matters in soils covered by C3/ C4 grassland, the range of δ^3Corg is under 2%. [ Conclusion] In view of the mixed vegetation cover, the profile distribution of δ^3Corg in different geographic periods is more likely to indicate the ratio of C4 plants to C3 plants.展开更多

Methods: From November 2011 to March 2013, the clinical data of 31 NSCLC cases with BM treated with multiple modalities including brain radiotherapy alone, systemic chemotherapy, whole brain radiotherapy(WBRT) combined with tyrosine kinase inhibitor(TKIs). The efficacy and adverse reaction were evaluated after treatment. Results: In terms of intracranial lesions, the objective response rate(ORR) and the disease control rate(DCR) were 22.6% and 90.3%, respectively. As for systemic disease, ORR and DCR were 32.3% and 93.5%, respectively. The median time to progression-free survival(PFS) was 298 days(95% CI: 258.624–337.376 days), whereas in the epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR) mutation patients was 331 days. Patients who received EGFR-TKIs combined with brain radiation had better response rate(RR) than those only brain radiation. Univariate analysis showed that the EGFR-mutations could predictive factors for PFS, and not to other clinical pathological features. The most common toxicities were rash and diarrhea, but all were well-tolerated. Conclusion: EGFR-mutations is the independent prognostic factors affecting the survival rates of NSCLC patients with BM. Through the clinical observation, icotinib combined with WBRT may be effective on brain metastases in NSCLC patients, and toxicities are tolerable, which worth further study.展开更多

This paper introduces an algorithm for detecting TWA using Poincare mapping method which is a technique for nonlinear dynamic systems to display periodic behavior. Sample series of beat to beat cycles were selected to prepare Poincare mapping method. Vector Angle Index (VAI), which is the mean of the difference between θi (the angle between the line connecting the i point to the origin and the X axis) and 45 degrees was used to present the presence or absence of TWA. The value of 0.9 rad ≤ VAI ≤ 1.03 rad is accepted as a level determinative for presence of TWA. VAI via Poincare mapping method (PM) is used for correlation analysis with T-wave alternans voltage (Vtwa) by way of the spectral method (SM). The cross-correlation coefficient between Vtwa and VAI is γ = 0.8601. The algorithm can identify the absence and presence of TWA accurately and provide idea for further study of TWA-PM.展开更多

文摘Background:Intrauterine growth restriction(IUGR)has negative impacts on the postnatal survival, growth and development of humans and animals, with not only on newborns but also adulthood. However, the characteristics for nutrient digestion and absorption in IUGR offspring are still largely unknown. Therefore, the normal birth weight(NBW)and IUGR growing pigs were used in this study to investigate their differences in nutrient utilization, with an expectition for further nutritional optimization of the IUGR offspring during their later life. Methods:Twelve IUGR and 12 NBW growing pigs were fitted with catheters in their portal vein to measure blood flow rate as well as nutrients and metabolites in plasma. The digestibilities of nutrients in different intestinal segments, and bacterial fermentation in the large intestine were examined to reveal the characteristics of nutrients utilization in IUGR versus NBW pigs. Results:The rate of portal venous blood flow did not differ beween IUGR and NBW pigs.Plasma concentrations of total cholesterol, triglycerides and glucose were much lower but those of urea were higher in the portal vein of IUGR pigs, compared with the NBW pigs. The ileal digestibility of dry matter, gross energy and starch were lower in IUGR pigs than in NBW pigs.IUGR increased hindgut microbial diversity and bacterial fermentation activity in the caecum. In vitro cross-fermentation of ileal digesta by caecal microbes of NBW and IUGR pigs showed that gas production was much higher for IUGR ileal digesta regardless of the source of caecal inocula. Conclusion:IUGR impairs the nutrient digestion and absorption in small intestine, reduces caecal microbial diversity and promotes bacterial fermentation in the large intestine during the growing phase. These findings aid in our understanding of nutrient metabolism in IUGR pigs and provide the basis for future nutritional interventions.

文摘Background: Postprandial nutrients utilization and metabolism of a certain diet is a complicated process. These results show a broad scope picture of postprandial changes in plasma metabolites after intake of PD and CD and could be a reference for further nutrition intervention as well as the design of nutritional studies.

文摘An imidazolium functionalized poly(ether ether ketone ketone)(PEEKK-DIm OH)anion exchange membrane(AEM)readily soluble in certain low-boiling-point solvents(isopropanol)is prepared. The solubility results are consistent with the results of molecular dynamics simulations.By varying the chloromethylation reaction temperature or concentrated sulfuric acid concentration of PEEKK,the degrees of chloromethylation of PEEKK are changed from 54% to 92%,the corresponding PEEKK-DIm OH AEMs with the ion exchange capacities(IECs)of 1.14–1.65 mmol·g^(-1).The PEEKK-DIm OH 92% AEM shows high hydroxide conductivity(31 m S·cm^(-1)),suitable water uptake(94%)and acceptable swelling ratio(39%)at 60°C.In addition, the PEEKK-DIm OH AEMs possess good thermal and alkaline stability. The maximum power density(46.16 mW·cm^(-2))of fuel cell prepared with PEEKK-DIm OH 92%AEM as exchange membrane and ionomer is much higher than that with commercial AHA membranes. All the above results indicate that the PEEKK used in this study is a promising AEM matrix material for alkaline fuel cells.

文摘[ Obiective] The research aims to study distribution characteristics of 613C during the decomposition process of soil organic matters under different climates and in different vegetation zones.[Method] This essay measures the values of δ^13Corg in vadous soil profiles from different climatic zones and vegetation zones in order to obtain the precise corrected value. [ Conclusion] In view of the mixed vegetation cover, the profile distribution of δ^3Corg in different geographic periods is more likely to indicate the ratio of C4 plants to C3 plants.

文摘Vehicular Edge Computing(VEC)is a promising technique to accommodate the computation-intensive and delaysensitive tasks through offloading the tasks to the RoadSide-Unit(RSU)equipped with edge computing servers or neighboring vehicles.Nevertheless, the limited computation resources of edge computing servers and the mobility of vehicles make the offloading policy design very challenging. In this context, through considering the potential transmission gains brought by the mobility of vehicles,we propose an efficient computation offloading and resource allocation scheme in VEC networks with two kinds of offloading modes,i.e.,Vehicle to Vehicle(V2V)and Vehicle to RSU(V2R).We define a new cost function for vehicular users by incorporating the vehicles’offloading delay, energy consumption, and expenses with a differentiated pricing strategy,as well as the transmission gain.An optimization problem is formulated to minimize the average cost of all the task vehicles under the latency and computation capacity constraints.A distributed iterative algorithm is proposed by decoupling the problem into two subproblems for the offloading mode selection and the resource allocation.Matching theorybased and Lagrangian-based algorithms are proposed to solve the two subproblems, respectively.Simulation results show the proposed algorithm achieves low complexity and significantly improves the system performance compared with three benchmark schemes.

文摘Objective:This study investigated the regulatory effect of non-classical immune parameters on immune thrombocytopenic purpura(ITP)mice by a spleen-invigorating,qi-replenishing and blood-containing formula(SQBF).Method:A total of 80 BALB/c mice were randomly divided into four equal groups(20 mice each):control group, model group, prednisone group and spleen-invigorating,qi-replenishing and blood-containing(SQBF)group.Mice in the model group, prednisone group, and SQBF group were administered anti-platelet serum to induce ITP.The dynamic variations of platelet counts in ITP mice were measured with an automatic blood analyzer before modeling and 48 h,and 8,12 and 15 days following APS injection.Levels of b-endorphin(b-EP),vasoactive intestinal peptide(VIP)and salivary IgA(SIgA)were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)on 15th day of experiment. Results:SQBF enhanced peripheral blood platelet counts in ITP mice similar to that of prednisone, and both groups showed a statistically significant response compared with the model group(P<.01).The SQBF significantly decreased b-EP levels compared with the model and prednisone intervention groups(P<.05),significantly increased the levels of VIP and SIgA in ITP mice compared with the model group(P<.05)and had significant protective effects on the thymus of ITP mice compared with the model group(P<.01).Conclusions:The SQBF had a similar effect to prednisone with regards to enhancing peripheral blood platelet counts in ITP mice.Furthermore,it decreased b-EP levels and increased VIP and SIgA,and protected the thymus. This shows that,on base of the brain-gut axis functions, some non-classical immune vascular active factors or neurotransmitters are also involved in immune responses, and also have relationship with the onset of ITP and bleeding and/or hemostasis. It needs further study to determine whether a change in these active factors is related to immediate hemostasis.

文摘Blood-arresting Formula on simvastatin-induced zebrafish hemorrhage model compared with that of the Heat-clearing and Blood-cooling Formula. Methods:AB strain wild type zebrafish were treated with 0.5 mM simvastatin for 24 hours to establish the zebrafish hemorrhage model.Under strictly blind experimental conditions, the zebrafish were then treated with experimental agents in different concentration within the maximum non-lethal dose. The intervention effect of the Spleen-invigorating,Qi-replenishing and Blood-arresting Formula was comprehensively assessed by examining the main observational parameters such as the bleeding reduction rate and hemostatic rate while referring to the additional parameters such as blood flow, improvement rate of blood flow, velocity of movement, improvement rate of motion under spleen-qi deficiency. Results:Hemostatic effect:The bleeding rate and hemostatic rate in the zebrafish were respectively,30%,15%,45%,40%and 60%,80%,40%,47%when equal concentration of 500 mg/mL,1000 mg/mL were used. This showed that the experimental herbs B1 was superior to B2 in decreasing the bleeding rate and improving hemostatic effect in the zebrafish.Improvement of blood flow:With equal concentration, the experimental herb B1 was superior to B2 in increasing the blood flow and improvement rate of blood flow in hemorrhagic zebrafish.Promotion of the improvement of motion:With equal concentration of 500 mg/mL and 1000 mg/mL,the experimental herb B1 was superior to B2 in promoting the velocity of motion in the zebrafish and promoting the improvement rate of motion. Conclusion:The manifestations of simvastatin-induced zebrafish hemorrhage are basically similar to that of failure of the spleen to control blood in human beings. The Spleeninvigorating,Qi-replenishing and Blood-arresting Formula has good hemostatic effect on simvastatin-induced hemorrhage in the zebrafish. It also boasts the functions of improving blood flow and velocity of motion in the hemorrhagic zebrafish.Such a conclusion provides the experimental basis for the treatment of the syndrome of failure of the spleen to control blood by this formula.
文摘Objective: The purpose of the study was to assess prognostic factors to predict overall survival(OS) and progression-free survival(PFS) in non-small-cell lung cancer(NSCLC) with brain metastasis(BM). Through the clinical observation, icotinib combined with WBRT may be effective on brain metastases in NSCLC patients, and toxicities are tolerable, which worth further study.
文摘Presently T-wave alternans (TWA) has become a clinical index of non-invasive diagnosis for heart sudden death prediction, and detecting T-wave alternate accurately is particularly important. The algorithm can identify the absence and presence of TWA accurately and provide idea for further study of TWA-PM.
