Cometabolic degradation is currently an effective and extensively way to remove high molecular weight polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(HMW-PAHs).Unfortunately,due to low bio-accessibility and high biotoxicity,the come...Cometabolic degradation is currently an effective and extensively way to remove high molecular weight polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(HMW-PAHs).Unfortunately,due to low bio-accessibility and high biotoxicity,the cometabolic degradation rate of HMW-PAHs is limited.Glycine-β-cyclodextrin(GCD)was obtained through amino modification ofβ-cyclodextrin(BCD)and added to cometabolic system of phenanthrene(PHE)and pyrene(PYR)to assist PYR biodegradation.Results show that the addition of GCD(100 mg/L)effectively improved the removal rate of PYR(20 mg/L)by 42.3%.GCD appeared to increase the bio-accessibility and reduce the biotoxicity of PHE and PYR,and then promoted the growth of Pseudomonas stutzeri DJP1 and stimulated the elevation of dehydrogenase(DHA)and catechol 12 dioxygenase(C12O)activities.The phthalate metabolic pathway was accelerated,which improved the cometabolic degradation.This study provided a new reference for the cometabolic degradation of HMW-PAHs.展开更多
The motion of three German Shepherd Dogs on a treadmill was recorded using a three-dimensional motion capture system. The locomotion speed of the dog was respectively set at 4km·h^-1, 5.5km·h^-1, 7 km·h...The motion of three German Shepherd Dogs on a treadmill was recorded using a three-dimensional motion capture system. The locomotion speed of the dog was respectively set at 4km·h^-1, 5.5km·h^-1, 7 km·h^-1 and 8.5 km·h^-1. By processing the acquired data, the joint trajectories of the dogs' hind limbs were computed and a time series analysis was conducted. Joint angle-angle diagrams were obtained and the Lyapunov exponents were computed. Results show that the stability decreased when speed increased, which can be attributed to the decrease in the stance phase respect to the swing phase when speed is increased. Results also show that the dogs changed gait during the tests, namely walking in the range of 4 km·h^-1 to 7 km·h^-1 and pacing at 8.5 km·h^-1 A significant drop in stability was observed from walking to pacing.展开更多
The goat’s hind limbs play an important role in dampening vibrations caused by ground impact during movement.Inspired by the unique structure of their hind limbs,a novel bionic limb vibration isolator has been develo...The goat’s hind limbs play an important role in dampening vibrations caused by ground impact during movement.Inspired by the unique structure of their hind limbs,a novel bionic limb vibration isolator has been developed to suppress low-frequency vibrations.It consists of the base,the carrying platform,four bionic legs and so on.The bionic legs are made up of rods of varying lengths and springs in different directions to imitate the various shapes of bones such as the femur and patella of the hind limbs of goats and developed muscles such as the biceps and quadriceps.The bionic device was found to have excellent nonlinear stiffness through statics analysis,and could be flexibly adjusted to the work range and load capacity.The bionic vibration isolator offers lower natural frequencies(2.3 Hz),better vibration isolation effect and a wider vibration isolation band than conventional linear vibration isolator.The bionic device can effectively suppress vibrations above 3.2 Hz and reduce the amplitude of random vibrations to more than 90%.In addition,compared to similar bionic vibration isolation devices,the bionic isolator achieves excellent load-bearing capacity in a smaller size,which facilitates its application in practical production.展开更多
