Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation(r TMS)has been shown to effectively improve impaired swallowing in Parkinson's disease(PD)patients with dysphagia.However,little is known about how r TMS affects the co...Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation(r TMS)has been shown to effectively improve impaired swallowing in Parkinson's disease(PD)patients with dysphagia.However,little is known about how r TMS affects the corresponding brain regions in this patient group.In this casecontrol study,we examined data from 38 PD patients with dysphagia who received treatment at Beijing Rehabilitation Medicine Academy,Capital Medical University.The patients received high-frequency r TMS of the motor cortex once per day for 10 successive days.Changes in brain activation were compared via functional magnetic resonance imaging in PD patients with dysphagia and healthy controls.The results revealed that before treatment,PD patients with dysphagia showed greater activation in the precentral gyrus,supplementary motor area,and cerebellum compared with healthy controls,and this enhanced activation was weakened after treatment.Furthermore,before treatment,PD patients with dysphagia exhibited decreased activation in the parahippocampal gyrus,caudate nucleus,and left thalamus compared with healthy controls,and this activation increased after treatment.In addition,PD patients with dysphagia reported improved subjective swallowing sensations after r TMS.These findings suggest that swallowing function in PD patients with dysphagia improved after r TMS of the motor cortex.This may have been due to enhanced activation of the caudate nucleus and parahippocampal gyrus.The study protocol was approved by the Ethics Committee of Beijing Rehabilitation Hospital of Capital Medical University(approval No.2018 bkky017)on March 6,2018 and was registered with Chinese Clinical Trial Registry(registration No.Chi CTR 1800017207)on July 18,2018.展开更多
The sea level in coastal areas of China reached the second highest in 2021,just after that recorded in 2022.External force and dynamic analyses based on tide gauges,satellite observations,reanalysis data and regional ...The sea level in coastal areas of China reached the second highest in 2021,just after that recorded in 2022.External force and dynamic analyses based on tide gauges,satellite observations,reanalysis data and regional numerical outputs were conducted to understand these abnormally high sea levels and determine their possible causes.Results show that the coastal sea level of China had increased at an annual rate of 3.4±0.3 mm during 1980-2021,with an acceleration of 0.06±0.02 mm per year2.The superposition of significant oscillations of quasi-2,3-7,quasi-9,quasi-11,quasi-19 and 20-30 years contributed to the anomalously high sea levels.The negative-phased El Nino/Southern Oscillation was correlated with the anomalously high sea level and the north-south anti-phase pattern of the coastal sea level in 2021.Meanwhile,phase lags of 1-4 months occurred with the sea-level response.On a decadal timescale,the Pacific Decadal Oscillation(PDO)was negatively correlated with the anomalous mean sea level(MSL),and the negative-phased PDO contributed to the anomalous sea-level change in 2021.Particularly,the monthly MSL peaked in April and July,and the contribution of wind stress to the anomalously high sea level was 38.5%in the south of the Taiwan Strait in April and 30%along the coast of China in July.These results were consistent with the tide gauge and satellite data.Close agreement was also observed between the coastal sea-level fingerprint and the air and sea surface temperatures.展开更多

Conclusion All of the compounds are isolated for the first time from the genus Botryosphaeria. The aim of this work is to demonstrate the effectiveness of CE to separate AP and its monohydroxy isomers and to define how the separations are affected by buffers, buffer pH, sample matrices and separation voltage. This method was successfully used for the trace level separation and determination of 2-HAP, 3-HAP and 4-HAP in synthetic mixture and 4-HAP in spiked plasma samples.展开更多
