Ordered hierarchical architectures are attractive candidates for electrochemical energy storage applications.Herein,a facile self-template strategy is applied to prepare Fe7Se8 architectures with a monolithic structur...Ordered hierarchical architectures are attractive candidates for electrochemical energy storage applications.Herein,a facile self-template strategy is applied to prepare Fe7Se8 architectures with a monolithic structure via a self-synthesized single precursor and subsequent calcination at high temperature.With the support of oleylamine,the precursor is structurally targeted to engineer the Fe7Se8 microstructure,featuring nanorod bundles arranged along the longitudinal direction.Because of their ordered hierarchical structure,the Fe7Se8 nanorod bundles deliver a high reversible capacity of 300 m Ah g^-1 at 0.5 A g^-1,along with exceptional rate capability up to 20 A g^-1 and long-term cycle life over 8000 cycles,which represents the highest stability of Fe7Se8 anodes for sodium-ion batteries reported to date.The feasibility of the present strategy to prepare metal selenide structures highlights its promising potential for the rational and effective engineering of electrode materials responsible for the electrochemical performance of energy storage systems.展开更多

The complementary cumulative distribution functions (CCDFs) are analyzed of two different 8QAM-OFDMsignals with 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512 sub- carriers by simulation. The simulation results show that, with the increase of the number of subcarrier, the PAPR value becomes higher. When the numbers of subcarrier are16 and 512, the PAPR of 8QAM-OFDM optical signals are smaller than 5.2 dB and 5.3 dB respectively. Hence, the number of sub-carriers should be chosen according to practical application.展开更多
Lithium–sulfur(Li–S)batteries have attracted much attention due to their ultrahigh theoretical specific capacity.However,serious capacity attenuation caused by shuttle effect still inhibits the performance improveme...Lithium–sulfur(Li–S)batteries have attracted much attention due to their ultrahigh theoretical specific capacity.However,serious capacity attenuation caused by shuttle effect still inhibits the performance improvement.Herein,a modified separator consists of the few-layer graphene as a highly conductive network and stable scaffold to support P-doped boron nitride(denoted as BN-P@GO)as the functional interlayer of Li–S batteries.The cell with the interlayer provides an initial discharge capacity as high as1045.3 mAh g^-1,and retains a high reversible capacity of 728.7 mAh g^-1 at 1 C after 500 cycles with a capacity decay of 0.061%per cycle.Moreover,the rate capability is also superior to cells with BN@GO or BN-P interlayers,i.e.reversible capcity of 457.9 mAh g^-1 even at 3 C.The excellent electrochemical performance is ascribed to the synergistic effect of physical barrier and chemical adsorption for dissolved polysulfides provided by the modified layer.Furhtermore,it also mitigates the polarization and promotes kinetic reactions of the cells.This work provides a concise and effective method for commercialization of lithium–sulfur batteries.展开更多
Herein,nickel@nitrogen-doped carbon nanotubes(Ni@NCNTs)are prepared by a simple and reliable method with Ni-based complex as single-source precursor.Significantly,the formation of CNTs is not susceptible to the calcin...Herein,nickel@nitrogen-doped carbon nanotubes(Ni@NCNTs)are prepared by a simple and reliable method with Ni-based complex as single-source precursor.Significantly,the formation of CNTs is not susceptible to the calcination temperature and ramping rate and Ni@NCNTs can be attained from 430 to 900℃in an inert atmosphere.Then they are the first time to be applied as the anode material for sodium-ion batteries.The presence of Ni nanoparticles(NPs)facilitates the solid electrolyte interface film over the anode surface and improves the capacity retention of the host material,especially at the high rates.Furthermore,Na+diffusion is reinforced after the introduction of Ni NPs.Ni@NCNTs obtained at 500℃(Ni@NCNTs-500)exhibit the best capacity retention and rate capability.Kinetics analyses demonstrate the faster electron transportation and ion diffusion than others prepared at other temperatures.The surficial capacitance storage favors the fast electrochemistry kinetics.It delivers a high specific capacity(192 mA h g^−1 at 0.5 A g^−1),excellent cycling stability(103 mA h g^−1 after 10,000 cycles at 10 A g^−1),and outstanding high-rate capability up to 20 A g^−1(118 mA h g^−1).The related full cells confirm a high energy density of 140 Wh kg^−1 at 38.16 W kg^−1 and 44.27 W h kg^−1 at 762 W kg^−1.展开更多
High HIV prevalence and incidence burdens have been reported in men who have sex with men(MSM)in Chongqing,China.We aimed to estimate the prevalence of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections(STIs),to apprai...High HIV prevalence and incidence burdens have been reported in men who have sex with men(MSM)in Chongqing,China.We aimed to estimate the prevalence of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections(STIs),to appraise the knowledge and risk behaviors related to HIV/AIDS among MSM,and to analyze the possible causes of deviation between behavior and knowledge to make better strategies.We recruited 617 MSM from February to July in 2008 by using a respondent-driven sampling(RDS) method in Chongqing,China.Through the collection of questionnaire-based data and biological testing results from all objects,we launched a crosssectional survey.STATA/SE was used for data analysis by frequency,ANOVA,rank sum test and logistic regression models.MSM with syphilis(OR=4.16,95%CI:2.35-7.33,P〈0.0001) were more likely to be HIV infected.Being a company employee(OR=3.64,95%CI:1.22-10.08,P〈0.0001) and having bought male for sex(OR=3.52,95%CI:1.10-11.32,P〈0.034) were associated with a higher probability of syphilis.MSM with younger age,higher education and greater monthly income had a higher mean knowledge score.MSM who had HIV testing had a higher mean knowledge score than those who never had.Students,venues for finding sex partners by Internet and homosexuals in MSM had a higher mean knowledge score compared to other occupations,venues for finding sex partners and sexual orientation.There is an urgent need for delivery of barrier and biomedical interventions with coordinated behavioral and structural strategies to improve the effect of HIV interventions among MSM.展开更多

Optical duo-binary signals are generated by using a precoder, two low- pass filters (LPF) and one mach-zehnder modulator (MZM). Through combination of dispersion compensation fiber (DCF) and single mode fiber (SMF) in the transmission link, four different dispersion compensation schemes (pre-compensation, post-compensation and hybrid compensation (pre+ post) and hybrid compensation (post+ pre)) were compared. Analyzing Q factor, BER, eye diagrams and receiver sensitivity in several dispersion compensation schemes, the simulation results are: the cut-off frequency of LPF affects the transmission performance, and the hybrid compensation (post+ pre) scheme is the optimal dispersion compensation method.展开更多
In a multi-lane area,the increasing randomness of lane changes contributes to traffic insecurity and local traffic flow instability.A study on safe lane shifting activity that focuses on threat assessment under real-t...In a multi-lane area,the increasing randomness of lane changes contributes to traffic insecurity and local traffic flow instability.A study on safe lane shifting activity that focuses on threat assessment under real-time knowledge is necessary to enhance smooth vehicle flow.This paper proposed amore comprehensive lane changing guidance rule to investigate the status of surrounding vehicles to accommodate future vehicle-on-road collaborative environments based on these parameters 1)lane change demand and 2)treat assessment function.The collaborative relationships between vehicles are analyzed using a cellular automata model based on their location,velocity,and acceleration.We analyze and examine the relationship between the number of lanes and traffic flow when the road capacity is heavily mined via intelligent lane changing.Our analysis can further provide theoretical guidance for the selection of road expansion mode.Our proposed STCA-L is compared based on the average speed,average flow,lane changing frequency,spatial and temporal pattern of STCA,STCA-I,and STCA-S,and STCA-M under different vehicle densities.The numerical simulation results show that our proposed STCA-L provides themost flexible lane changing guidance in the multi-lanes road.Moreover,the simulated results show that the exponential growth of physical space cannot provide the corresponding increase in the average flow of vehicles.展开更多

But, the different weather conditions will affect the transceiver performance. In this paper, we build a FSO communication system with 16-ary phase shift key-orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (16PSK-OFDM) downstream signals. We analyze the transmission performance of 16PSK-OFDM optical signals under five different weather conditions (sunny, light rain, moderate rain, snow, and fog). The optical spectral diagrams, constellation diagrams, and bit error rate (BER) of the received signals are simulation measured and analyzed. The results show that the constellation diagram under sunny condition is clear, and the value of BER is about 10?4.2 after 16PSK-OFDM optical signals pass through 500 m FSO link. Note that, the constellation points are dispersed under the other weather conditions.展开更多

Firstly, we build a 40Gbit/s optical coherent 64QAM-OFDM transmission system. 64QAM-OFDM optical signals with 16, 32, 64, 64, 128, 256 and 512 sub-carriers are transmitted over 100 km single mode fiber (SMF). Then, the optical spectrum diagrams before and after transmission, the bit error rate (BER) and constellation diagrams of received signals were compared. The simulation results show that, with the number of sub-carriers increasing, the value of PAPR will gradually increase and the quality of the received optical signals will deteriorate. Moreover, with the number of sub-carriers increasing, the computational complexity will increase when digital signal processing (DSP) is used. Therefore, we should choose the optimal number of sub-carriers, and the PAPR influence and BER are also considered for achieving effective transmission.展开更多
