The ionic transport in sub-nanochannels plays a key role in energy storage,yet suffers from a high energy barrier.Wetting sub-nanochannels is crucial to accelerate ionic transport,but the introduction of water is challenging because of the hydrophobic extreme confinement.We propose wetting the channels by the exothermic hydration process of pre-intercalated ions,the effect of which varies distinctly with different ionic hydration structures and energies.Compared to the failed pre-intercalation of SO_(4)^(2-),HSO_(4)^(-) with weak hydration energy results in a marginal effect on the HOMO(Highest Occupied Molecular Orbital)level of water to avoid water splitting during the electrochemical intercalation.Meanwhile,the ability of water introduction is reserved by the initial incomplete dissociation state of HSO_(4)^(-),so the consequent exothermic reionization and hydration processes of the intercalated HSO_(4)^(-) promote the water introduction into sub-nanochannels,finally forming the stable confined water through hydrogen bonding with functional groups.The wetted channels exhibit a significantly enhanced ionic diffusion coef-ficient by~9.4 times. 展开更多

电催化硝酸根还原反应(NO_(3)^(-)RR)使用电子作为绿色还原剂,为去除和利用水中硝酸盐提供了一种有前景的技术.其中,铜基材料在碱性溶液(如1 mol L^(-1)KOH)中显示出较高的NO_(3)^(-)RR催化活性,但在中性条件下催化剂的性能不高.目前,... 电催化硝酸根还原反应(NO_(3)^(-)RR)使用电子作为绿色还原剂,为去除和利用水中硝酸盐提供了一种有前景的技术.其中,铜基材料在碱性溶液(如1 mol L^(-1)KOH)中显示出较高的NO_(3)^(-)RR催化活性,但在中性条件下催化剂的性能不高.目前,在中性体系中同时实现高活性、高选择性和高法拉第效率的氨合成是一个巨大的挑战.以往研究主要通过掺杂、合金化、调节晶面和引入缺陷等办法来提高NO_(3)^(-)RR的性能.此外,构筑异质结构界面可以调节催化剂的几何结构、电荷分布和配位环境,也是优化催化性能的一种有效策略.通过异质结构界面效应可以提供更多的催化活性位点,打破单组分催化剂的活性线性关系,进而提升NO_(3)^(-)RR性能.已有的研究中多采用直接化学合成法构筑铜基异质结催化剂,但在NO_(3)^(-)RR条件下原位制备异质结催化剂的文献报道较少,且已有的少数在NO_(3)^(-)RR条件下原位制备铜基异质结构的报道,由于界面性质不利、活性位点密度低,其催化NO_(3)^(-)RR的性能难以令人满意.因此,有必要采取有效的策略来原位构筑具有可调界面结构和丰富活性位点的铜基异质结构.本文提出了一种原位动态重构策略,通过构筑具有丰富界面活性位点的Cu/Ce(OH)_(x)催化剂以提高NO_(3)^(-)RR性能.在KCl溶液中将Ce(OH)_(x)电沉积到泡沫铜上,生成Cu_2Cl(OH)_(3)并与Ce(OH)_(x)一起沉积形成Cu_2Cl(OH)_(3)/Ce(OH)_(x)异质结构.在NO_(3)^(-)RR过程中,Cu_2Cl(OH)_3/Ce(OH)_(x)经历动态重构,原位形成了Cu/Ce(OH)_(x)催化剂.原位活化后,NO_(3)^(-)R性能显著增强,随后达到稳定状态.催化剂展现出较好的催化性能,NO_(3)^(-)转化率为100.0%,NH_(3)选择性为97.8%,NH_(3)法拉第效率为99.2%,并表现出长期稳定性,是中性介质中较先进的催化剂之一.采用X射线衍射(XRD)、扫描电镜(SEM)、高分辨透射电镜(HRTEM)、选区电子衍射(SAED)、X射线光电子能谱(XPS)及原位拉曼光谱表征了Cu_(2)Cl(OH)_(3)/Ce(OH)_(x)预催化剂的原位重构过程.XRD结果表明,Cu_(2)Cl(OH)_(3)/Ce(OH)_(x)预催化剂在第一次NO_(3)^(-)RR测试后还原形成了Cu/Ce(OH)_(x).SEM结果表明,Cu_(2)Cl(OH)_(3)颗粒在第一次NO_(3)^(-)RR循环后开始形成裂纹,第二次NO_(3)^(-)RR后碎裂成几十至100 nm的颗粒,其上存在大量Ce(OH)_(x)纳米粒子.HRTEM和SAED结果证实了上述结构变化.XPS结果表明,铜在原位重构过程中逐渐从高价态还原到低价态.原位拉曼光谱进一步确认Cu_(2)Cl(OH)_(3)还原为Cu_(2)O再到Cu的动态转变过程.原位和非原位表征结果一致表明,Cu_(2)Cl(OH)_(3)/Ce(OH)_(x)异质结构经历了动态还原和纳米化过程,原位构筑了具有丰富活性位点的Cu/Ce(OH)_(x)界面.采用在线微分电化学质谱(DEMS)和密度泛函理论(DFT)研究了NO_(3)^(-)RR性能增强机理.DEMS结果表明,Cu/Ce(OH)_(x)上存在NO,HNO/NOH和NH_(2)OH中间体.DFT结果表明,Cu/Ce(OH)_(x)界面位点具有以下作用:(1)促进硝酸根的吸附和活化;(2)降低了电位限制步骤(NO*→HNO*)的反应能垒;(3)通过增强氢吸附强度,抑制了析氢副反应的发生.此外,原位纳米化形成的丰富界面活性位点也促进了NO_(3)^(-)RR活性的提升.综上,本文提出了一种原位构筑动态界面活性位点的策略,从而增强电催化性能,以实现高价值化学品的可持续合成.未来可改变前驱体种类将该方法拓展至其他催化剂体系,探索其在多种电催化反应中的应用. 展开更多

Aqueous zinc-ion battery(ZIB)featuring with high safety,low cost,environmentally friendly,and high energy density is one of the most promising systems for large-scale energy storage application.Despite extensive research progress made in developing high-performance cathodes,the Zn anode issues,such as Zn dendrites,corrosion,and hydrogen evolution,have been observed to shorten ZIB’s lifespan seriously,thus restricting their practical application.Engineering advanced Zn anodes based on two-dimensional(2D)materials are widely investigated to address these issues.With atomic thickness,2D materials possess ultrahigh specific surface area,much exposed active sites,superior mechanical strength and flexibility,and unique electrical properties,which confirm to be a promising alternative anode material for ZIBs.This review aims to boost rational design strategies of 2D materials for practical application of ZIB by combining the fundamental principle and research progress.Firstly,the fundamental principles of 2D materials against the drawbacks of Zn anode are introduced.Then,the designed strategies of several typical 2D materials for stable Zn anodes are comprehensively summarized.Finally,perspectives on the future development of advanced Zn anodes by taking advantage of these unique properties of 2D materials are proposed. 展开更多

Van der Waals(VDW)heterojunctions in a 2D/2D contact provide the highest area for the separation and transfer of charge carriers.In this work,a top-down strategy with a gas erosion process was employed to fabricate a 2D/2D carbon nitride VDW heterojunction in carbon nitride(g-C_(3)N_(4))with carbon-rich carbon nitride.The created 2D semiconducting channel in the VDW structure exhibits enhanced electric field exposure and radiation absorption,which facilitates the separation of the charge carriers and their mobility.Consequently,compared with bulk g-C_(3)N_(4)and its nanosheets,the photocatalytic performance of the fabricated carbon nitride VDW heterojunction in the water splitting reaction to hydrogen is improved by 8.6 and 3.3 times,respectively,while maintaining satisfactory photo-stability.Mechanistically,the finite element method(FEM)was employed to evaluate and clarify the contributions of the formation of VDW heterojunction to enhanced photocatalysis,in agreement quantitatively with experimental ones.This study provides a new and effective strategy for the modification and more insights to performance improvement on polymeric semiconductors in photocatalysis and energy conversion. 展开更多

Solar energy-induced catalysis has been attracting intensive interests and its quantum efficiencies in plasmon-mediated photothermal catalysis(P-photothermal catalysis)and external heat-coupled photocatalysis(E-photothermal catalysis)are ultimately determined by the catalyst structure for photo-induced energetic hot carriers.Herein,different catalysts of supported(TiO_(2)-P25 and Al_(2)O_(3))platinum quantum dots are employed in photo,thermal,and photothermal catalytic dry reforming of methane.Integrated experimental and computational results unveil different active sites(hot zones)on the two catalysts for photo,thermal,and photothermal catalysis.The hot zones of P-photothermal catalysis are identified to be the metal-support interface on Pt/P25 and the Pt surface on Pt/Al_(2)O_(3),respectively.However,a change of the active site to the Pt surface on Pt/P25 is for the first time observed in E-photothermal catalysis(external heating temperature of 700℃).The hot zones contribute to the significant enhancements in photothermal catalytic reactivity against thermocatalysis.This study helps to understand the reaction mechanism of photothermal catalysis to exploit efficient catalysts for solar energy utilization and fossil fuels upgrading. 展开更多

目的提出经腮腺实质内面神经中段解剖法并评价其在区域性腮腺切除术中的应用效果。方法回顾性统计了自2016年1月至2017年12月行腮腺良性肿瘤手术患者136例,按照面神经解剖方法分类,分为顺行总干解剖法(顺行组,70例)、逆行分支解剖法(逆... 目的提出经腮腺实质内面神经中段解剖法并评价其在区域性腮腺切除术中的应用效果。方法回顾性统计了自2016年1月至2017年12月行腮腺良性肿瘤手术患者136例,按照面神经解剖方法分类,分为顺行总干解剖法(顺行组,70例)、逆行分支解剖法(逆行组,34例)、实质内中段解剖法(中段组,32例),比较3组的手术时间,面神经损伤和耳垂感觉状况,涎瘘、Frey’s综合征发生率,并进行美学评价。结果中段组手术时间较其他两组明显缩短(P<0.05);中段组术后未出现涎瘘患者,顺行组涎瘘发生的比例较高(9例,12.9%)(P<0.05);中段组和顺行组术后面神经损伤率均较低(顺行组3例,4.3%;中段组1例,3.1%),逆行组面神经损伤比例偏高(7例,20.6%)(P<0.05);中段组和逆行组均未出现耳垂感觉减退情况,而顺行组出现比例较高(12例,17.1%)(P<0.05);术后中段组及顺行组患者对术后面部外形比较满意,而逆行组对美观评价一般(P<0.05)。结论面神经中段解剖法在技术上是可以实行的,在腮腺良性肿瘤的区域性切除术中,可以取得较好的临床效果,具有一定的临床应用价值。 展开更多

The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic is challenging the current public health emergency response systems(PHERSs)of many countries.Although environmental factors,such as those influencing the survival of viruses and their transmission between species including humans,play important roles in PHERSs,little attention has been given to these factors.This study describes and elucidates the roles of environmental factors in future PHERSs.To improve countries’capability to respond to public health emergencies associated with viral infections such as the COVID-19 pandemic,a number of environmental factors should be considered before,during,and after the responses to such emergencies.More specifically,to prevent pandemic outbreaks,we should strengthen environmental and wildlife protection,conduct detailed viral surveillance in animals and hotspots,and improve early-warning systems.During the pandemic,we must study the impacts of environmental factors on viral behaviors,develop control measures to minimize secondary environmental risks,and conduct timely assessments of viral risks and secondary environmental effects with a view to reducing the impacts of the pandemic on human health and on ecosystems.After the pandemic,we should further strengthen surveillance for viruses and the prevention of viral spread,maintain control measures for minimizing secondary environmental risks,develop our capability to scientifically predict pandemics and resurgences,and prepare for the next unexpected resurgence.Meanwhile,we should restore the normal life and production of the public based on the“One Health”concept,that views global human and environmental health as inextricably linked.Our recommendations are essential for improving nations’capability to respond to global public health emergencies. 展开更多

Strawberry mottle virus(SMoV)and strawberry vein banding virus(SVBV)cause diseases on strawberry plants,but the effect of coinfection of SMoV and SVBV on the growth,development,and defense system of strawberry(Fragaria×ananassa Duchesne)remains unknown.We investigated the effect of SMoV and SVBV coinfection on strawberry cultivar‘Benihope’.The results showed that stem diameter,leaf size,leaf number,relative chlorophyll content,total chlorophyll content,photosynthetic parameters,and stomatal aperture of SMoV and SVBV co-infected strawberry(VIS)plants were in a weaker level than uninfected control plants,indicating that viruses inhibited the growth and photosynthesis of strawberry plants.Furthermore,the initiation of flowering and fruiting stages of VIS plants were delayed by about three weeks compared with the controls,and the fruiting period was shortened,demonstrating that the reproduction of VIS plants was inhibited.Fruit quality was damaged in VIS plants due to a significant increase in fruit firmness and titratable acidity and decrease in total soluble solid content than control fruits.More dead cells and H_(2)O_(2) accumulated along the veins of VIS leaves,and the content of abscisic acid and catalase activity significantly increased,whereas anthocyanin content was lower than that of control plants.The results demonstrate that SVBV and SMoV coinfection inhibits the growth and development of‘Benihope’strawberry plants,and the plants respond to viruses by regulating stomatal aperture,the accumulation of ABA and antioxidants.To our knowledge,this study contributes information to understand how both viruses impair the strawberry growth and development for the first time. 展开更多

Meta-analysis of the relationship between cytotoxin-associated gene-A and ischemic stroke subtypes

OBJECTIVE: To assess the role of cytotoxin-associated gene-A (CagA) positive strains of Helicobacter pylori (Hp) in ischemic stroke (IS) subtypes. DATA SOURCES: A computer-based online search of PubMed, EMBASE... OBJECTIVE: To assess the role of cytotoxin-associated gene-A (CagA) positive strains of Helicobacter pylori (Hp) in ischemic stroke (IS) subtypes. DATA SOURCES: A computer-based online search of PubMed, EMBASE, the Cochrane Collaboration database, the CNKI database and the VIP database, from January 1997 to July 2010, was performed to find relevant studies. DATA SELECTION: Case-control studies relevant to CagA with IS and IS subtypes were selected. Data regarding related factors in the case group and control group were acquired using the same approach. All patients had been diagnosed as exhibiting IS using skull CT or MRI, and were etiologically typed according to the 1993 TOAST diagnosis criteria. Two investigators independently performed the same search and study selection. Meta-analyses were then performed for the selected studies using RevMan 5.0 software (Cochrane Collaboration) after strict screening. Heterogeneity tests, sensitivity analyses and publication bias assessments were then conducted. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Relationship of CagA with IS and IS subtypes. RESULTS: Eight studies were selected, involving data from 879 patients with IS, and 849 healthy controls. Five out of eight of the selected studies were related to large artery atherosclerosis (461 patients with IS and 497 health controls). The results of our meta-analysis revealed a significant association between prior infection with CagA-positive strains and increased risk of IS (odds ratio (OR) = 2.31,95% confidence interval (C/): 1.89-2.82, P 〈 0.01), In addition, we found an association between infection with CagA-negative strains and IS (OR = 0.57, 95%C1:0.47 0.70, P 〈 0.01). CagA positive and negative strains were found to correlate with large artery atherosclerosis (CagA-positive strains: OR = 2.87, 95%C/: 2.19-3.77, P 〈 0.01; CagA-negative strains: OR = 0.51, 95%CL 0.39 0.67, P 〈 0.01). Because of the diversity of etiological factors in the case-control study, we conducted further analyses after correcting for confounding factors, and the overall effects were recalculated. The results revealed significant relationships between CagA-positive strains and IS (OR = 2.36, 95%C1: 1.84-3.02, P 〈 0.01), and between CagA-positive strains and large artery atherosclerosis (OR = 3.10, 95%C1: 2.29-4.19, P 〈 0.01 ). A heterogeneity test of CagA-positive strains in IS and its subtypes revealed good homogeneity (f = 0%; f = 0%) and we adopted a fixed-effects model to calculate OR. Sensitivity analysis confirmed that the results of the meta-analysis were reliable. However, the funnel plot suggested that the experimental results may be affected by bias, possibly resulting from a lack of published studies reporting negative outcomes in the meta-analysis. CONCLUSION: Infection with CagA-positive strains is a risk factor for IS, especially the large artery atherosclerosis subtype. However, the evidence from case-control studies is weak, and more prospective studies are required to conclusively determine whether infection by CagA-positive strains should be considered a novel risk factor for IS and its subtypes. 展开更多

Sodium(Na)metal batteries with a high volumetric energy density that can be operated at high rates are highly desirable.However,an uneven Na-ion migration in bulk Na anodes leads to localized deposition/dissolution of sodium during high-rate plating/stripping behaviors,followed by severe dendrite growth and loose stacking.Herein,we engineer the Na hybrid anode with sodiophilic Na_(3)Bi-penetration to develop the abundant phase-boundary ionic transport channels.Compared to intrinsic Na,the reduced adsorption energy and ion-diffusion barrier on Na_(3)Bi ensure even Na^(+)nucleation and rapid Na^(+)migration within the hybrid electrode,leading to uniform deposition and dissolution at high current densities.Furthermore,the bismuthide enables compact Na deposition within the sodiophilic framework during cycling,thus favoring a high volumetric capacity.Consequently,the obtained anode was endowed with a high current density(up to 5 mA∙cm^(−2)),high areal capacity(up to 5 mA∙h∙cm^(−2)),and long-term cycling stability(up to 2800 h at 2 mA∙cm^(−2)). 展开更多

The present study assessed the effects of Helicobacter pylori infection on atherothrombotic stroke. This study included 115 individuals with atherothrombotic stroke, all of whom were patients receiving treatment at the Department of Neurology, Aerospace Central Hospital (Aerospace Clinical Medical College Affiliated to Peking University) in China, from March 2006 to July 2009. In addition, 131 controls without the history of cardiovascular disease, cerebrovascular disease or atherothrombosis were also enrolled in the study. Results show that the Helicobacterpylori-lgG positive rate was greater in the atherothrombotic stroke patients than in the controls, but the difference was not statistically significant (67.8% vs. 61.8%, OR = 1.301,95%C/: 0.769-2.203, P = 0.327). After correction for potential risk factors for Helicobacter pylori infection and known risk factors for ischemic stroke, no significant difference was detected between them (OR = 1.278, 95%C1: 0.667-2.449, P = 0.459). These results indicate that there is no specific correlation between Helicobacterpylori infection and atherothrombotic stroke. This finding requires further verification in large-sample prospective studies. 展开更多

We present elastic electron scattering cross sections with holmethane molecules CH_(2)Br_(2)and CCl_(2)Br_(2)in the lowenergy region ranging from 0.01 e V to 20 e V.The calculations are performed with the R-matrix method in static-exchange plus polarization(SEP)and close-coupling(CC)approximations.The integral,differential,and momentum transfer cross sections are calculated.The convergence of the obtained cross sections is checked at four different levels of SEP approximation.The predicted positions of the resonances agree well with available results.The precise resonance parameters are found to be sensitive to the treatment of polarization effects employed.We find that the polarization has a substantial effect on the cross sections,and this effect becomes even more important for lower impact energies. 展开更多

The thermal shock of subsurface material with shear instability and severe plastic flow during scuffing was investigated.The scuffing damage of M50 steel was tested using a high-speed rolling-sliding contact test rig,and the transient temperature during scuffing was calculated using the Fourier transform method considering the effects of both frictional heat and plastic work.The results show that a thermal shock with a rapid rise and subsequent rapid decrease in the contact temperature is generated in the subsurface layers.The frictional power intensity generates a high temperature rise,leading to the austenitization of the subsurface material.Consequently,the plastic flow is generated in the subsurface layer under the high shear stress,and the resulting plastic strain energy generates a further temperature increase.Subsequently,a rapid decrease in the contact temperature quenches the material,resulting in clear shear slip bands and retained austenite in the subsurface layers of the M50 steel. 展开更多

The Zr-2.5Nb alloy with a fine microstructure consisting ofαlaths was successfully prepared by electron beam melting(EBM).The thermal oxidation behaviors and kinetics of the as-built,and the EBM-built and hot isostatically pressed(HIPed)Zr-2.5Nb materials in a temperature range of 450-600°C were in-vestigated and compared with those of the alloy prepared by conventional casting and forging.It was found that the oxidation kinetics of the as-built and the forged materials followed the parabolic rate law during isothermal oxidation at 550°C,but the HIPed materials exhibited a parabolic-to-linear kinetic transition,suggesting that the larger grain sizes enhanced the oxidation.The oxide layers of all materials were composed of a large fraction of monoclinic zirconia phase(m-ZrO_(2))and a small fraction of tetrago-nal zirconia phase(t-ZrO_(2)),and transformed from t-ZrO_(2)to m-ZrO_(2)with increasing oxidation time.The surface hardness of the as-built,the forged and the HIPed materials increased from 215,204,and 188 HV before oxidation to 902,1070,and 1137 HV after oxidation,respectively.The cross-sections of the materi-als showed the presence of micropores and microcracks inside the oxide layers with thicknesses ranging from 4 to 8μm.With the oxidation temperature of 600°C and oxidation time duration of 3 h,a dense black m-ZrO_(2)oxide layer with smooth surface and 902 HV hardness was obtained on the EBM as-built Zr-2.5Nb materials. 展开更多

The NO gas is easily oxidized to form toxic by-products(NO_(2))during the oxidation process,which are adsorbed on the catalyst surface and inhibit the subsequent reaction.For photocatalytic NO removal,a significant challenge is to achieve catalytic stability while maintaining high conversion efficiency.Here,we fabricated a(BiO)_(2)CO_(3)/β-Bi_(2)O_(3)heterostructure that enables efficient charge transfer and promotes the NO removal.We propose that the catalytic stability depends on the heterojunction structure,which is able to generate interfacial charge transfer channels.In addition,we further introduce graphene quantum dots on the heterojunction structure,which further strengthens the interfacial charge transfer dynamics and finally realizes that the NO_(2)byproduct could gain electrons and convert to the final product(nitrite or nitrate).This composite structure not only exhibits high activity for NO removal but also maintains long-term stability under visible light. 展开更多

Osteoarthritis(OA)is a painful degenerative joint disease and is the leading cause of chronic disability among elderly individuals.To improve the quality of life for patients with OA,the primary goal for OA treatment is to relieve the pain.During OA progression,nerve ingrowth was observed in synovial tissue and articular cartilage.These abnormal neonatal nerves act as nociceptors to detect OA pain signals.The molecular mechanisms for transmitting OA pain in the joint tissues to the central nerve system(CNS)is currently unknown.MicroRNA miR-204 has been demonstrated to maintain the homeostasis of joint tissues and have chondro-protective effect on OA pathogenesis.However,the role of miR-204 in OA pain has not been determined.In this study,we investigated interactions between chondrocytes and neural cells and evaluated the effect and mechanism of miR-204 delivered by exosome in the treatment of OA pain in an experimental OA mouse model.Our findings demonstrated that miR-204 could protect OA pain by inhibition of SP1-LDL Receptor Related Protein 1(LRP1)signaling and blocking neuro-cartilage interaction in the joint.Our studies defined novel molecular targets for the treatment of OA pain. 展开更多
