Pulmonary Hypertension(PH)is a global health problem that affects about 1%of the global population.Animal models of PH play a vital role in unraveling the pathophysiological mechanisms of the disease.The present study proposes a Kernel Extreme Learning Machine(KELM)model based on an improved Whale Optimization Algorithm(WOA)for predicting PH mouse models.The experimental results showed that the selected blood indicators,including Haemoglobin(HGB),Hematocrit(HCT),Mean,Platelet Volume(MPV),Platelet distribution width(PDW),and Platelet–Large Cell Ratio(P-LCR),were essential for identifying PH mouse models using the feature selection method proposed in this paper.Remarkably,the method achieved 100.0%accuracy and 100.0%specificity in classification,demonstrating that our method has great potential to be used for evaluating and identifying mouse PH models. 展开更多

The combination of grating-based frequency-selective optical feedback mechanisms,such as distributed feedback(DFB)or distributed Bragg reflector(DBR)structures,with quantum dot(QD)gain materials is a main approach towards ultrahigh-performance semiconductor lasers for many key novel applications,as either stand-alone sources or on-chip sources in photonic integrated circuits.However,the fabrication of conventional buried Bragg grating structures on GaAs,GaAs/Si,GaSb,and other material platforms has been met with major material regrowth difficulties.We report a novel and universal approach of introducing laterally coupled dielectric Bragg gratings to semiconductor lasers that allows highly controllable,reliable,and strong coupling between the grating and the optical mode.We implement such a grating structure in a low-loss amorphous silicon material alongside GaAs lasers with InAs/GaAs QD gain layers.The resulting DFB laser arrays emit at pre-designed 0.8 THz local area network wavelength division multiplexing frequency intervals in the 1300 nm band with record performance parameters,including sidemode suppression ratios as high as 52.7 dB,continuous-wave output power of 26.6 mW(room temperature)and 6 mW(at 55℃),and ultralow relative intensity noise(RIN)of<-165 dB/Hz(2.5-20 GHz).The devices are also capable of isolator-free operating under very high external reflection levels of up to-12.3 dB while maintaining high spectral purity and ultralow RIN qualities.These results validate the novel laterally coupled dielectric grating as a technologically superior and potentially cost-effective approach for fabricating DFB and DBR lasers free of their semiconductor material constraints,which are thus universally applicable across different material platforms and wavelength bands. 展开更多

Summary of main observation and conclusion This work presents the synthesis, crystal structure and properties of a novel noncentrosymmetric (NCS) coordination polymer (CP), namely,(Me2NH2)3[BaLi(2,6-PyDC)3(H2O)](1)(2,6-PyDC = pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylate acid), which represents the first example of BaLi-CPs with 2,6-PyDC ligand. Single-crystal X-ray structural analysis reveals that the compound features a two-dimensional (2D) layered structure. The simplified structure of each layer belongs to the hcb topology. The second harmonic generation (SHG) response of 1 is about 0.5 times that of KH2PO4 (KDP) marker. What is more, 1 emits bright blue light upon the excitation of 365 nm UV light with the quantum yield (QX Ф) of 1.63%. The successful con struction of this compound convinces the feasibility of constructing NCS CPs via the combi nation of [BaL3] unit and Li(l) ion. 展开更多

Presented here is the solvothermal preparation of two luminescent coordination polymers (L-CPs) based on the same mixed ligands, namely [Cd2(1,4-NDC)2(dppe)] (1) and [Mn3(OH)2(1,4-NDC)2(dppe)(H2O)] (2) (1,4-NDCH2 = 1,4-naphthalene dicarboxylic acid, dppe---- 1,3-di(4-pyridyl)propane). Both the title compounds feature a neutral three-dimensional (3D) network. Photoluminescence (PL) studies indicated that the compound 1 based on d10 Cd2+ exhibited dual emissions with tunable intensities that could result in direct white-light emission based on the in- traligand charge transfer (LLCT); while the compound 2 showed a single band of yellow emission based on the charge transfer between the ligands and the metal ion (LMCT), due to the partially filled d-orbital of Mn2+ ion. The temperature-dependent powder X-ray diffraction patterns (PXRD) and PL spectra were further measured to identify their thermal stabilities. This work may provide a certain guiding significance for exploiting L-CPs based on different metal ions. 展开更多
