Epilepsy can be defined as a dysfunction of the brain network,and each type of epilepsy involves different brain-network changes that are implicated diffe rently in the control and propagation of interictal or ictal d...Epilepsy can be defined as a dysfunction of the brain network,and each type of epilepsy involves different brain-network changes that are implicated diffe rently in the control and propagation of interictal or ictal discharges.Gaining more detailed information on brain network alterations can help us to further understand the mechanisms of epilepsy and pave the way for brain network-based precise therapeutic approaches in clinical practice.An increasing number of advanced neuroimaging techniques and electrophysiological techniques such as diffusion tensor imaging-based fiber tra ctography,diffusion kurtosis imaging-based fiber tractography,fiber ball imagingbased tra ctography,electroencephalography,functional magnetic resonance imaging,magnetoencephalography,positron emission tomography,molecular imaging,and functional ultrasound imaging have been extensively used to delineate epileptic networks.In this review,we summarize the relevant neuroimaging and neuroelectrophysiological techniques for assessing structural and functional brain networks in patients with epilepsy,and extensively analyze the imaging mechanisms,advantages,limitations,and clinical application ranges of each technique.A greater focus on emerging advanced technologies,new data analysis software,a combination of multiple techniques,and the construction of personalized virtual epilepsy models can provide a theoretical basis to better understand the brain network mechanisms of epilepsy and make surgical decisions.展开更多
Low-light images suffer from low quality due to poor lighting conditions,noise pollution,and improper settings of cameras.To enhance low-light images,most existing methods rely on normal-light images for guidance but ...Low-light images suffer from low quality due to poor lighting conditions,noise pollution,and improper settings of cameras.To enhance low-light images,most existing methods rely on normal-light images for guidance but the collection of suitable normal-light images is difficult.In contrast,a self-supervised method breaks free from the reliance on normal-light data,resulting in more convenience and better generalization.Existing self-supervised methods primarily focus on illumination adjustment and design pixel-based adjustment methods,resulting in remnants of other degradations,uneven brightness and artifacts.In response,this paper proposes a self-supervised enhancement method,termed as SLIE.It can handle multiple degradations including illumination attenuation,noise pollution,and color shift,all in a self-supervised manner.Illumination attenuation is estimated based on physical principles and local neighborhood information.The removal and correction of noise and color shift removal are solely realized with noisy images and images with color shifts.Finally,the comprehensive and fully self-supervised approach can achieve better adaptability and generalization.It is applicable to various low light conditions,and can reproduce the original color of scenes in natural light.Extensive experiments conducted on four public datasets demonstrate the superiority of SLIE to thirteen state-of-the-art methods.Our code is available at https://github.com/hanna-xu/SLIE.展开更多

Objective:The objective of this study was to analyze the current status of barriers to exercise participation(EP)among patients on maintenance hemodialysis(MHD).Materials and Methods:A cross-sectional study was conduc...Objective:The objective of this study was to analyze the current status of barriers to exercise participation(EP)among patients on maintenance hemodialysis(MHD).Materials and Methods:A cross-sectional study was conducted on 277 outpatients undergoing MHD in 2 tertiary first-class hospitals in Beijing from February 2023 to June 2023 who were selected using convenience sampling method.The data of patients on MHD were collected using the general information questionnaire,Physical Activity Rating Scale,Exercise Benefits/Barriers Scale(EBBS),and Exercise Self-Efficacy Scale(ESES).The relationship between EP and barriers to EP was analyzed through univariate and multivariate linear regression models.Results:Patients on MHD had a low exercise volume score of 13.71±0.68 points and a medium EBBS score of 63.36±0.40 points.Multivariate logistic analysis showed that exercise volume was significantly related to the following four aspects,including low monthly household income per capita(odds ratio[OR]=86.741,95%confidence interval[CI][1.164-6.465],P=0.042),primary underlying disease of diabetic nephropathy(OR=45.993,95%CI[1.353-1.564],P=0.033),the belief that“fatigue in lower extremities hinders exercise”(OR=4.697,95%CI[1.127-19.585],P=0.034),and the belief that“physical exercise bringing optimistic and positive life attitude”(OR=0.074,95%CI[0.007-0.830],P=0.035).Conclusions:Since patients on MHD had low physical exercise volume,the health-care provider should pay more attention on the controllable factors that affect the EP of patients on MHD.Therefore,feasible and effective intervention measures can be formulated based on ESES in clinical nursing.展开更多

As an important river in the western part of Jilin Province,the lower reach of the Nenjiang River is an important wetland water source conservation area in Jilin Province.Within the watershed,it governs the Momoge Wet...As an important river in the western part of Jilin Province,the lower reach of the Nenjiang River is an important wetland water source conservation area in Jilin Province.Within the watershed,it governs the Momoge Wetland,the Xianghai Wetland,and the Danjiang Wetland in Jilin Province.The main problem in the lower reaches of the Nenjiang River is the uneven distribution of water resources in time and space,and the intensification of land salinization.Zhenlai County and Da an City in the Nenjiang River Basin have sufficient surface water resources,with surface water as the drinking water source.Baicheng City and Tongyu County have scarce surface water resources,and both use groundwater as their domestic water source.The main polluted section in the basin is the Xianghai Reservoir,and the annual water quality evaluation is Class V.However,the water quality of the Tao er River,the main stream of the Nenjiang River,is significantly better than that of the Xianghai Reservoir.In order to better study the water environmental pollution situation in the Nenjiang River basin,monitoring data from five sections of non seasonal rivers in the basin from 2012 to 2021 were selected for studying water quality.This in-depth exploration of the water pollution status and river water quality change trends in the Nenjiang River basin is of great significance for future rural development,agricultural pattern transformation,and the promotion of water ecological civilization construction.展开更多

Background:The immunomodulatory effects of mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)and their exosomes have been receiving increasing attention.This study investigated the immunoregulatory effects of human amniotic mesenchymal ste...Background:The immunomodulatory effects of mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)and their exosomes have been receiving increasing attention.This study investigated the immunoregulatory effects of human amniotic mesenchymal stem cells(hAMSCs)and their exosomes on phytohemagglutinin(PHA)-induced peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs).Methods:The hAMSCs used in the experiment were identified by light microscopy and flow cytometry,and the differentiation ability of the cells was determined by Oil Red O and Alizarin Red staining.The expressions of transforming growth factor(TGF)-β,indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase(IDO),cyclooxygenase-2(COX-2),hepatocyte growth factor(HGF),and interleukin(IL)-6 were detected by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction and western blotting.PBMCs,hAMSCs,and their exosomes were collected for in vitro group culture.Then the immunoregulatory ability of hAMSCs and their exosomes were analyzed by flow cytometry and Enzymelinked immunosorbent assay.Results:The hAMSCs and exosomes were successfully extracted from the human amniotic membrane.TGF-β,IDO,COX-2,HGF,and IL-6 were significantly expressed in hAMSCs.In vitro co-culture showed that hAMSCs promoted the proliferation of Th2 cells in PHA-induced PBMCs,while hAMSCs and exosomes inhibited the secretion of TNF-αin PHA-induced PBMCs,and promoted the secretion of IL-4 and IL-10,and hAMSCs had more significant effects than exosomes.Conclusions:hAMSCs or exosomes could exert immunoregulatory effects on PHA-induced PBMCs by affecting Th2 cell proliferation and cytokine secretion.展开更多

In this paper, 15 cross sections were selected in the Yinma River basin. Based on the water quality monitoring data from 2012 to 2021, referring to the Environmental Quality Standards for Surface Water (GB 3838-2002) and historical monitoring data of the river, dissolved oxygen (DO), five-day biochemical oxygen demand (BOD 5), permanganate index (COD Mn ), chemical oxygen demand (COD), ammonia nitrogen (NH 4-N), total phosphorus (TP), and total nitrogen (TN) were determined as 7 evaluation indicators, and the water quality of 15 cross sections in the Yinma River basin was comprehensively evaluated. A characteristic analysis was conducted on the water quality of the Yinma River, and its pollution sources were identified. Based on the conclusions, constructive control measures were proposed.展开更多
