Due to the large number of finite element mesh generated,it is difficult to use full-scale model to simulate largesection underground engineering,especially considering the coupling effect.A regional model is attempted to achieve this simulation.A variable boundary condition method for hybrid regional model is proposed to realize the numerical simulation of large-section tunnel construction.Accordingly,the balance of initial ground stress under asymmetric boundary conditions achieves by applying boundary conditions step by step with secondary development ofDynaflowscripts,which is the key issue of variable boundary conditionmethod implementation.In this paper,Gongbei tunnel based on hybrid regional model involvingmulti-field coupling is simulated.Meanwhile,the variable boundary condition method for regional model is verified against model initialization and the ground deformation due to tunnel excavation is predicted via the proposed hybrid regional model.Compared with the monitoring data of actual engineering,the results indicated that the hybrid regional model has a good prediction effect. 展开更多

The average temperature of frozen soil wall is an essential parameter in the process of design, construction, and safety manage- ment of artificial ground freezing engineering. It is the basis of calculating frozen soil's mechanical parameters, fiarther prediction of bearing capacity and, ultimately, safety evaluation of the frozen soil wall. Regarding the average temperature of sin- gle-row-piped frozen soil wall, this paper summarizes several current calculation methods and their shortcomings. Furthermore, on the basis of Bakholdin's analytical solution for the temperature field under straight single-row-piped freezing, two new calcula- tion models, namely, the equivalent trapezoid model and the equivalent triangle model, are proposed. These two approaches are used to calculate the average temperature of a certain cross section which indicates the condition of the whole frozen soil wall. Considering the possible parameter range according to the freezing pipe layout that might be applied in actual construction, this paper compares the average temperatures of frozen soil walls obtained by the equivalent trapezoid method and the equivalent tri- angle method with that obtained by numerical integration of Bakholdin's analytical solution. The results show that the discrepancies are extremely small and these two new approaches are better than currently prevailing methods. However, the equivalent triangle method boasts higher accuracy and a simpler formula compared with the equivalent trapezoid method. 展开更多

As one of the most important uses of the Internet of things (IOT), the intelligent household is becoming more and more popular. There are many fragile nodes in the intelligent household and they are bound to encounter some potential risks of hostile attacks, such as eavesdropping, denial of service, error instructs, non-authorized access or fabrication and others. This paper presents a method of design and implement of secure nodes for the intelligent household based on the IOT technology, besides giving the hardware model of nodes, the management of key, the access authentication of network, the transmission of encrypted data, and the alarm based on intrusion detection and other security mechanisms. That is, to improve the security of the based-IOT intelligent household from the viewpoint of nodes security. A test platform is built and the results of simulation prove that the proposed method can effectively improve the security of the intelligent household from access safety and transmission security. 展开更多

How to energy-efficiently maintain the topology of wireless sensor networks(WSNs) is still a difficult problem because of their numerous nodes,highly dynamic nature,varied application scenarios and limited resources.An energy-efficient multi-mode clusters maintenance(M2CM) method is proposed based on localized and event-driven mechanism in this work,which is different from the conventional clusters maintenance model with always periodically re-clustered among the whole network style based on time-trigger for hierarchical WSNs.M2 CM can meet such demands of clusters maintenance as adaptive local maintenance for the damaged clusters according to its changes in time and space field.,the triggers of M2 CM include such events as nodes' residual energy being under the threshold,the load imbalance of cluster head,joining in or exiting from any cluster for new node or disable one,etc.Based on neighboring relationship of the damaged clusters,one can start a single cluster(inner-cluster) maintenance or clusters(inter-cluster) maintenance program to meet diverse demands in the topology management of hierarchical WSNs.The experiment results based on NS2 simulation show that the proposed method can significantly save energy used in maintaining a damaged network,effectively narrow down the influenced area of clusters maintenance,and increase transmitted data and prolong lifetime of network compared to the traditional schemes. 展开更多

Freeze-sealing pipe roof method is applied in the Gongbei tunnel,which causes the ground surface uplift induced by frost heave.A frost heaving prediction approach based on the coefficient of cold expansion is proposed to simulate the ground deformation of the Gongbei tunnel.The coefficient of cold expansion in the model and the frost heaving rate from the frost heave test under the hydration condition can achieve a good correspondence making the calculation result closer to the actual engineering.The ground surface uplift along the lateral and longitudinal direction are respectively analyzed and compared with the field measured data to validate the model.The results show that a good agreement between the frost heaving prediction model and the field measured data verifies the rationality and applicability of the proposed model.The maximum uplift of the Gongbei tunnel appears at the center of the model,gradually decreasing along with the lateral and longitudinal directions.The curve in the lateral direction presents a normal distribution due to the influence of the constraint of two sides,while the one along the lateral direction shapes like a parabola with the opening downward due to the temperature field distribution.The model provides a reference for frost heaving engineering calculation. 展开更多

Although the development of the robot picking vision system is widely applied,it is very challenging for fruit detection in orchards with complex light and environment,especially for fruit colors similar to the background.In recent,there are few studies on pecan fruit detection and location based on machine vision.In this study,an accurate and efficient pecan fruit detection method was proposed based on machine vision under natural pecan orchards.In order to solve the illumination problem,a light compensation algorithm was first utilized to process the collected samples,and then an improved Faster Region Convolutional Neural Network(Faster RCNN)with the Feature Pyramid Networks(FPN)was established to train the samples.Finally,the pecan number counting method was introduced to count the number of pecan.A total of 241 pecan images were tested,and comparison experiments were carried out.The mean average precision(mAP)of the proposed detection method was 95.932%,compared with the result without uneven illumination correction(UIC),which was increased by 0.849%,while the mAP of the Single Shot Detector(SSD)+FPN was 92.991%.In addition,the number of clusters was counted using the proposed method with an accuracy rate of 93.539%compared with the actual clusters.The results demonstrate that the proposed network has good robustness for pecan fruit detection in different illumination and various unstructured environments,and the experimental achievement has great potential for robot-picking visual systems. 展开更多
