As far as the subject of aesthetics is concerned,it shall give attention to sensibility; however,it has been controlled by rationality.As time goes by,aesthetics shall return to the living world.Aesthetics shall not o...As far as the subject of aesthetics is concerned,it shall give attention to sensibility; however,it has been controlled by rationality.As time goes by,aesthetics shall return to the living world.Aesthetics shall not only stay on the level of theory,but also reflect life itself.The capitalist society developing with the Enlightenment Movement needs the power of reasoning to oppose the shackles of the old religious theology and create a better world on the one hand; on the other hand,it needs the power of sensibility of human beings,without which there would be no consuming desire,and production could not develop.Under such a circumstance,enlightenment thinkers must re-coordinate reasoning and sensibility in order to set up the new order for the coming capitalist society.Aesthetics is the result of re-coordination,which came into being in the Enlightenment Movement and was born with some contradictoriness.Aesthetics should return to the living world.Although there are some misunderstanding and misuse of aesthetic theories and aesthetics is even over-generalized,living in such a complicated age—on the one hand,the ancient picturesque and poem-like life is gone; on the other hand,the life based on the aesthetic standard is still far away—we still need a proper life goal—realizing the sufficient and comprehensive development of human beings.展开更多
This paper proposes a semi-empirical model to predict a ship’s speed loss at arbitrary wave heading.In the model,the formulas that estimate a ship’s added resistance due to waves attacking from different heading ang...This paper proposes a semi-empirical model to predict a ship’s speed loss at arbitrary wave heading.In the model,the formulas that estimate a ship’s added resistance due to waves attacking from different heading angles have been further developed.A correction factor is proposed to consider the nonlinear effect due to large waves in power estimation.The formulas are developed and verified by model tests of 5 ships in regular waves with various heading angles.The full-scale measurements from three different types of ships,i.e.,a PCTC,a container ship,and a chemical tanker,are used to validate the proposed model for speed loss prediction in irregular waves.The effect of the improved model for speed loss prediction on a ship’s voyage optimization is also investigated.The results indicate that a ship’s voyage optimization solutions can be significantly affected by the prediction accuracy of speed loss caused by waves.展开更多

The joints of the joints are semi-rigid, the force performance is extremely complicated, and the experimental research cost is relatively high, and the cycle is very long. Therefore, the establishment of an efficient numerical model is of great significance for evaluating the force performance of high-strength bolt end plates. In this paper, the influence of different material models on the rotation performance of the joint is studied by numerical simulation, and the bending moment-rotation curve is obtained. The numerical simulation and the experimental results are in good agreement, so as to provide a reference for the design and application of this kind of joint.展开更多
