A novel efficient catalyst for the hydrogenation of carbon dioxide to formic acid ruthenium bisphosphine on functionalized silica was in situ synthesized, affording turnover frequency (TOF) of 1190 h^-1 at 100% selectivity under 80℃ with total pressure of 16.0 MPa. The catalyst can be separated from the reaction mixture easily and reused with moderate loss of activity. 展开更多

A modified Stober method has been developed which permits the controlled growth of spherical hollow spheres with diameters between 197 and 208 nanometers by consecutively cocondensed methyltrimethoxysilane and dimethyldimethoxysilane monomers onto microemulsion of polydimethylsiloxane and subsequently removing the templated polydimethylsiloxane by exposure to solvents. Ammonia was used as a morphological catalyst. The morphology of the polymer spheres was demonstrated by transmission electron micrographs (TEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). 展开更多

Catalytic hydrogenation of diacetyl monoxime to tetramethylpyrazine, by the homogeneous catalysts generated in situ from some transition metal chlorides with triphenylphosphine in ethanol under H-2 pressure of 0.6 similar to 4.6 MPa at 100 similar to 150 degrees C, has been studied. The optimum H-2 partial pressure was observed at about 1.3 MPa. The maximum conversion of diacetyl monoxime and yield of tetramethylpyrazine were 97% and 90%, respectively. 展开更多

Titanium-modified (-alumina supported CuO catalyst has been prepared and used to methanol synthesis from CO_2 hydrogenation. The addition of Ti to the CuO/(-Al_2O_3 catalyst made the copper in the catalyst exist in much smaller crystallites. The effect of the loading of Ti on the activity and selectivity to methanol from CO_2 hydrogenation was investigated. The activity was found to increase with the increasing of surface area of metallic copper, but it is not a linear relationship. 展开更多
