A kinetic study of two ruthenium carbene catalysts, (PCy3)2Cl2Ru=CHPh 1 (Grubbs catalyst) and a new catalyst [1,3-bis(2,6-dimethylphenyl)4,5-dihydroimidazol-2-ylidene](PPh3) (Cl)2Ru-CHPh 3, were conducted in metathesis of 1-hexene.
