Chuño production is a kind of ancient method of potato preservation that has been used to the present day.In this study,physicochemical property and nutrition quality of white chuño(WC),black chuño,and ...Chuño production is a kind of ancient method of potato preservation that has been used to the present day.In this study,physicochemical property and nutrition quality of white chuño(WC),black chuño,and dehydrated potato flour prepared by hot air drying(AD)and freezing drying were analyzed and compared.The results revealed that the average particle size of the starch in WC is almost 10 times of the dehydrated potato flour by AD treatment according to the laser particle size meter.During the dehydration of WC,water-soluble minerals(K+,Mg2+),proteins,ascorbic acid,etc.were partly lost while Ca2+content increased dramatically.In addition,WC showed the lowest antioxidant capacity among the four different kinds of dehydrated potato products.The polyphenol oxidase activity of WC,black chuño and AD were between 0.62–12.2 U/g fresh weight,which indicated that the color will be stable when chuño was used as staple food ingredient in the subsequent process.Therefore,as a potato processed food,chuño displayed great potential for promotion in the cold and poor rural areas of the northern China.展开更多

BACKGROUND Studies have indicated that childhood exposure to domestic violence is a common factor in posttraumatic growth(PTG)and posttraumatic stress disorder(PTSD),but it is unclear whether PTG and PTSD share a comm...BACKGROUND Studies have indicated that childhood exposure to domestic violence is a common factor in posttraumatic growth(PTG)and posttraumatic stress disorder(PTSD),but it is unclear whether PTG and PTSD share a common/different underlying mechanism.AIM To explore the common/different underlying mechanism of PTG and PTSD.METHODS Between February 12 and 17,2020,a nationwide cross-sectional online survey was conducted in China among 2038 university students,and a self-administered questionnaire was used for the data collection.The data included demographic characteristics,such as age,gender,and subjective social economic status,and childhood exposure to domestic violence scale that was selected from the Chinese version of revised Adverse Childhood Experiences Question,Self-compassion Scale,Connor–Davidson Resilience Scale,Posttraumatic Growth Inventory,and the Abbreviated PTSD Checklist-Civilian version.A structural equation model was used to test the hypotheses.RESULTS Exposure to domestic violence was significantly associated with PTG and PTSD via a 1-step indirect path of self-compassion(PTG:β=-0.023,95%CI:-0.44 to-0.007;PTSD:β=0.008,95%CI:0.002,0.014)and via a 2-step indirect path from self-compassion to resilience(PTG:β=-0.008,95%CI:-0.018 to-0.002;PTSD:β=0.013,95%CI:0.004-0.024).However,resilience did not mediate the relationship between exposure to domestic violence and PTG and PTSD.CONCLUSION PTG and PTSD are common results of childhood exposure to domestic violence,which may be influenced by self-compassion and resilience.展开更多
Objective To investigate the effect of frontotemporal rhytidectomy combined with botulinum toxin A type injection on lifting upper facial skin,improving upper facial skin aging,removing peri-orbital,glabellar and fore...Objective To investigate the effect of frontotemporal rhytidectomy combined with botulinum toxin A type injection on lifting upper facial skin,improving upper facial skin aging,removing peri-orbital,glabellar and forehead wrinkles a nd strengthening the effect of rhytidectomy.Methods 20 patients with upper facial wrinkle plastic surgery,female,were designed with incision marking line along forehead and temporal hairline for dissection.The forehead was stripped along the superficial layer of periosteum,and the temporal part was stripped against the superficial surface of superficial temporal fascia.Then the suspension was used to tight the skin,the redundant skin tissue was removed,the cosmetic incision was sutured,the drainage device was placed routinely after the operation,and the pressure dressing is applied for 72 hours.The stitches were removed 7 days after the operation,at the same time,the appropriate dose of botulinum toxin type A was injected into the glabella,the outer corner of both eyes and the forehead to remove wrinkles and to rejuvenate the upper facial skin.Results 20 patients were followed up for 1-12 months,the results were all satisfactory.The upper skin relaxation was obviously improved,the forehead,glabellar and periorbital wrinkles were significantly reduced,the skin was plump and lustrous,the scar was hidden,not obvious and without complications after the incision was healed,and the upper facial skin showed obvious rejuvenation ef fect.Conclusion Frontotemporal rhytidectomy combined with botulinum toxin type A injection facial rejuvenation treatment is safe,effective,and has less complications as well as quick recovery,which is a feasible and good treatment.展开更多

V-pits are inevitably introduced during the metalorganic chemical vapor deposition(MOCVD)growth of multiple quantum wells(MQWs) in Ⅲ–nitride LEDs, and thus affecting the carrier dynamics of the LEDs.Specifically designed structures are fabricated to study the influence of the V-pits on the hole transportation and efficiency droop, and double quantum wells(QWs) are used to monitor the transportation and distribution of holes based on their emission intensity. It is found that when compared with the planar QWs, the injection of holes into the QWs through the side walls of the V-pits changes the distribution of holes among the MQWs. Objective:To understand the status of nursing students'professional attitudes,professional identity,and employment intention under the new coronary pneumonia pandemic,and to analyze the factors influencing nursing...Objective:To understand the status of nursing students'professional attitudes,professional identity,and employment intention under the new coronary pneumonia pandemic,and to analyze the factors influencing nursing students'employment intention.Methods:A cross-sectional survey was conducted on 689 nursing students using a questionnaire,and the results were analyzed by multiple unordered and ordered regressions.Results:47.17%of the nursing students chose to work in clinical nursing in the future;95.5%of the nursing students preferred to work in Grade III class hospital hospitals;0.73%of the nursing students actively chose to work in the infectious disease unit in the background of COVID-19 pandemic.In the analysis of professional attitudes,female nursing students scored higher than male nursing students;Senior students and above scored significantly higher than junior nursing students;nursing students who had internship experience scored higher than those who had not;nursing students who had someone close to them who was involved in the rescue work of the COVID-19 pandemic scored higher in professional attitudes.Regression analysis showed that the higher the professional identity score,the more likely the nursing students were to choose a nursing-related job and expect a higher salary;nursing students who chose nursing because it was easy to find a job,followed the advice of others,or had a family income of less than 3000 yuan per capita also expected a higher salary.In the context of the pandemic,nursing students with high career attitude scores were less likely to choose clinical nursing jobs;students without nursing practitioners at home were less likely to choose hospitals and health management organizations;nursing students with high career identity were more likely to choose Grade III class hospitals.Conclusion:The outbreak of COVID-19 has influenced the employment intention of nursing students,in the background of pandemic,about half of them still choose to engage in clinical nursing work;most of them recognize the outstanding contribution and professional value of nurses in the fight against epidemic.Meanwhile,through this research,it is believed that nursing students at school have insufficient awareness of infectious diseases and other public health emergencies.It is recommended that relevant colleges and universities strengthen knowledge and related courses on the prevention and control of infectious diseases and public health emergency events.展开更多

Background:Age-related macular degeneration(AMD)is the leading cause of vision loss worldwide.However,the mechanisms involved in the development and progression of AMD are poorly delineated.We aimed to explore the cri...Background:Age-related macular degeneration(AMD)is the leading cause of vision loss worldwide.However,the mechanisms involved in the development and progression of AMD are poorly delineated.We aimed to explore the critical genes involved in the progression of AMD.Methods:The differentially expressed genes(DEGs)in AMD retinal pigment epithelial(RPE)/choroid tissues were identified using the microarray datasets GSE99248 and GSE125564,which were downloaded from the gene expression omnibus database.The overlapping DEGs from the two datasets were screened to identify DEG-related biological pathways using gene ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes enrichment analyses.The hub genes were identified from these DEGs through protein-protein interaction network analyses.The expression levels of hub genes were evaluated by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction following the induction of senescence in ARPE-19 with FK866.Following the identification of AMD-related key genes,the potential small molecule compounds targeting the key genes were predicted by PharmacoDB.Finally,a microRNA-gene interaction network was constructed.Results:Microarray analyses identified 174 DEGs in the AMD RPE compared to the healthy RPE samples.These DEGs were primarily enriched in the pathways involved in the regulation of DNA replication,cell cycle,and proteasome-mediated protein polyubiquitination.Among the top ten hub genes,HSP90AA1,CHEK1,PSMA4,PSMD4,and PSMD8 were upregulated in the senescent ARPE-19 cells.Additionally,the drugs targeting HSP90AA1,CHEK1,and PSMA4 were identified.We hypothesize that Hsa-miR-16-5p might target four out of the five key DEGs in the AMD RPE.Conclusions:Based on our findings,HSP90AA1 is likely to be a central gene controlling the DNA replication and proteasome-mediated polyubiquitination during the RPE senescence observed in the progression of AMD.Targeting HSP90AA1,CHEK1,PSMA4,PSMD4,and/or PSMD8 genes through specific miRNAs or small molecules might potentially alleviate the progression of AMD through attenuating RPE senescence.展开更多
In this paper we propose the Gini correlation screening(GCS)method to select the important variables with ultrahigh dimensional data.The new procedure is based on the Gini correlation coefficient via the covariance be...In this paper we propose the Gini correlation screening(GCS)method to select the important variables with ultrahigh dimensional data.The new procedure is based on the Gini correlation coefficient via the covariance between the response and the rank of the predictor variables rather than the Pearson correlation and the Kendallτcorrelation coefficient.The new method does not require imposing a specific model structure on regression functions and only needs the condition which the predictors and response have continuous distribution function.We demonstrate that,with the number of predictors growing at an exponential rate of the sample size,the proposed procedure possesses consistency in ranking,which is both useful in its own right and can lead to consistency in selection.The procedure is computationally efficient and simple,and exhibits a competent empirical performance in our intensive simulations and real data analysis.展开更多

文摘In this paper we propose the Gini correlation screening(GCS)method to select the important variables with ultrahigh dimensional data.The new procedure is based on the Gini correlation coefficient via the covariance between the response and the rank of the predictor variables rather than the Pearson correlation and the Kendallτcorrelation coefficient.The new method does not require imposing a specific model structure on regression functions and only needs the condition which the predictors and response have continuous distribution function.We demonstrate that,with the number of predictors growing at an exponential rate of the sample size,the proposed procedure possesses consistency in ranking,which is both useful in its own right and can lead to consistency in selection.The procedure is computationally efficient and simple,and exhibits a competent empirical performance in our intensive simulations and real data analysis.
