BACKGROUND The TRIANGLE operation involves the removal of all tissues within the triangle bounded by the portal vein-superior mesenteric vein,celiac axis-common hepatic artery,and superior mesenteric artery to improve...BACKGROUND The TRIANGLE operation involves the removal of all tissues within the triangle bounded by the portal vein-superior mesenteric vein,celiac axis-common hepatic artery,and superior mesenteric artery to improve patient prognosis.Although previously promising in patients with locally advanced pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC),data are limited regarding the long-term oncological outcomes of the TRIANGLE operation among resectable PDAC patients undergoing pancreaticoduodenectomy(PD).AIM To evaluate the safety of the TRIANGLE operation during PD and the prognosis in patients with resectable PDAC.METHODS This retrospective cohort study included patients who underwent PD for pancreatic head cancer between January 2017 and April 2023,with or without the TRIANGLE operation.Patients were divided into the PD_(TRIANGLE)and PD_(non-TRIANGLE)groups.Surgical and survival outcomes were compared between the two groups.Adequate adjuvant chemotherapy was defined as adjuvant chemotherapy≥6 months.RESULTS The PD_(TRIANGLE)and PD_(non-TRIANGLE) groups included 52 and 55 patients,respectively.There were no significant differences in the baseline characteristics or perioperative indexes between the two groups.Furthermore,the recurrence rate was lower in the PD_(TRIANGLE) group than in the PD_(non-TRIANGLE) group(48.1%vs 81.8%,P<0.001),and the local recurrence rate of PDAC decreased from 37.8%to 16.0%.Multivariate Cox regression analysis revealed that PD_(TRIANGLE)(HR=0.424;95%CI:0.256-0.702;P=0.001),adequate adjuvant chemotherapy≥6 months(HR=0.370;95%CI:0.222-0.618;P<0.001)and margin status(HR=2.255;95%CI:1.252-4.064;P=0.007)were found to be independent factors for the recurrence rate.CONCLUSION The TRIANGLE operation is safe for PDAC patients undergoing PD.Moreover,it reduces the local recurrence rate of PDAC and may improve survival in patients who receive adequate adjuvant chemotherapy.展开更多

The N = 1 supersymmetric extensions of two integrable systems,a special negative Kadomtsev–Petviashvili(NKP)system and a(2+1)-dimensional modified Korteweg–de Vries(MKd V) system,are constructed from the Hiro...The N = 1 supersymmetric extensions of two integrable systems,a special negative Kadomtsev–Petviashvili(NKP)system and a(2+1)-dimensional modified Korteweg–de Vries(MKd V) system,are constructed from the Hirota formalism in the superspace.The integrability of both systems in the sense of possessing infinitely many generalized symmetries are confirmed by extending the formal series symmetry approach to the supersymmetric framework.It is found that both systems admit a generalization of W∞type algebra and a Kac-Moody–Virasoro type subalgebra.Interestingly,the first one of the positive flow of the supersymmetric NKP system is another N = 1 supersymmetric extension of the(2+1)-dimensional MKd V system.Based on our work,a hypothesis is put forward on a series of(2+1)-dimensional supersymmetric integrable systems.It is hoped that our work may develop a straightforward way to obtain supersymmetric integrable systems in high dimensions.展开更多
Hysteresis current–voltage(Ⅰ–Ⅴ) characteristics are often observed in a highly non-ideal(n > 2) as-deposited nickel(Ni)/4 H-SiC Schottky contact. However, we find that this kind of hysteresis effect also exists...Hysteresis current–voltage(Ⅰ–Ⅴ) characteristics are often observed in a highly non-ideal(n > 2) as-deposited nickel(Ni)/4 H-SiC Schottky contact. However, we find that this kind of hysteresis effect also exists in an as-deposited Ni/n-type4 H-SiC Schottky structure even if the ideality factor(n) is less than 1.2. The hysteresis Ⅰ–Ⅴ characteristics is studied in detail in this paper by using the various measurements including the hysteresis Ⅰ–Ⅴ, sequentialⅠ–Ⅴ sweeping, cycle Ⅰ–Ⅴ,constant reverse voltage stress(CRVS). The results show that the hysteresis Ⅰ–Ⅴ characteristics are strongly dependent on the sweeping voltage and post-deposition annealing(PDA). The high temperature PDA(800℃) can completely eliminate this hysteresis. Meanwhile, the magnitude of the hysteresis effect is shown to decrease in the sequential Ⅰ–Ⅴ sweeping measurement, which is attributed to the fact that the electrons tunnel from the 4 H-SiC to the localized states at the Ni/ntype 4 H-SiC interface. It is found that the application of the reverse bias stress has little effect on the emission of those trapped electrons. And a fraction of the trapped electrons will be gradually released with the time under the condition of air and with no bias. The possible physical charging mechanism of the interface traps is discussed on the basis of the experimental findings.展开更多

Two independent defect levels, rather than a pair of specific carrier lifetime, were induced to describe Z1/2 defects in simulation to calculate the charge collection efficiency versus bias voltage. Comparison between our calculation and the reported experimental results shows that an acceptable agreement was achieved, proving the feasibility of regarding Z1/2 defect as two individual defect levels. Such a treatment can simplify the simulation and may help to further investigate the detector degradation.展开更多

Methods Reduction of total organic carbon (TOC), ultraviolet absorbance (UV254), tfihalomethane (THM) formation potential (THMFP), haloacetic acid (HAA) formation potential (HAAFP), and ammonia in FBBR were evaluated in detail. Results The reduction of TOC or UV254 was low, on average 12.6% and 4.7%, respectively, while the reduction of THMFP and HAAFP was significant. The reduction of ammonia was 30%-40% even below 3℃, however, it could quickly rise to over 50% above 3℃. Conclusions The FBBR effectively reduces CBPs and ammonia in drinking water even at low temperature and seems to be a very promising and competitive drinking water reactor for polluted surface source waters, especially in China.展开更多
This paper presents the development of lateral depletion-mode n-channel 4 H-SiC junction field-effect transistors(LJFETs)using double-mesa process toward high-temperature integrated circuit(IC)applications.At room tem...This paper presents the development of lateral depletion-mode n-channel 4 H-SiC junction field-effect transistors(LJFETs)using double-mesa process toward high-temperature integrated circuit(IC)applications.At room temperature,the fabricated LJFETs show a drain-to-source saturation current of 23.03μA/μm,which corresponds to a current density of 7678 A/cm^(2).The gate-to-source parasitic resistance of 17.56 kΩ·μm is reduced to contribute only 13.49%of the on-resistance of 130.15 kΩ·μm,which helps to improve the transconductance up to 8.61μS/μm.High temperature characteristics of LJFETs were performed from room temperature to 400℃.At temperatures up to 400℃in air,it is observed that the fabricated LJFETs still show normally-on operating characteristics.The drain-to-source saturation current,transconductance and intrinsic gain at 400℃are 7.47μA/μm,2.35μS/μm and 41.35,respectively.These results show significant improvement over state-of-the-art and make them attractive for high-temperature IC applications.展开更多

The consistency between simulation results and measured data in the different temperatures shows that this interface model can accurately describe the capture and emission performance for near-interface oxide traps, and can well explain the hysteresis-voltage response with increasing temperature, which is intensified by the interaction between deep oxide traps and shallow oxide traps. Considering the importance of higher-dimensional equations that are widely applied to real nonlinear problems,many(4+1)-dimensional integrable systems have been established by uplifting the dimensions of their corresp...Considering the importance of higher-dimensional equations that are widely applied to real nonlinear problems,many(4+1)-dimensional integrable systems have been established by uplifting the dimensions of their corresponding lower-dimensional integrable equations.Recently,an integrable(4+1)-dimensional extension of the Boiti-Leon-Manna-Pempinelli(4DBLMP)equation has been proposed,which can also be considered as an extension of the famous Korteweg-de Vries equation that is applicable in fluids,plasma physics and so on.It is shown that new higher-dimensional variable separation solutions with several arbitrary lowerdimensional functions can also be obtained using the multilinear variable separation approach for the 4DBLMP equation.In addition,by taking advantage of the explicit expressions of the new solutions,versatile(4+1)-dimensional nonlinear wave excitations can be designed.As an illustration,periodic breathing lumps,multi-dromion-ring-type instantons,and hybrid waves on a doubly periodic wave background are discovered to reveal abundant nonlinear structures and dynamics in higher dimensions.展开更多
Organoids are three-dimensional(3D)miniature structures cultured in vitro produced from either human pluripotent stem cells(hPSCs)or adult stem cells(AdSCs)derived from healthy individuals or patients that recapitulat...Organoids are three-dimensional(3D)miniature structures cultured in vitro produced from either human pluripotent stem cells(hPSCs)or adult stem cells(AdSCs)derived from healthy individuals or patients that recapitulate the cellular heterogeneity,structure,and functions of human organs.The advent of human 3D organoid systems is now possible to allow remarkably detailed observation of stem cell morphogens,maintenance and differentiation resemble primary tissues,enhancing the potential to study both human physiology and developmental stage.As they are similar to their original organs and carry human genetic information,organoids derived from patient hold great promise for biomedical research and preclinical drug testing and is currently used for personalized,regenerative medicine,gene repair and transplantation therapy.In recent decades,researchers have succeeded in generating various types of organoids mimicking in vivo organs.Herein,we provide an update on current in vitro differentiation technologies of brain,retinal,kidney,liver,lung,gastrointestinal,cardiac,vascularized and multi-lineage organoids,discuss the differences between PSC-and AdSC-derived organoids,summarize the potential applications of stem cell-derived organoids systems in the laboratory and clinic,and outline the current challenges for the application of organoids,which would deepen the understanding of mechanisms of human development and enhance further utility of organoids in basic research and clinical studies.展开更多
Background The nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain-like receptor protein 12(NLRP12)-autoinflammatory disorder(NLRP12-AD)is a rare autoinflammatory disease characterized by recurrent fever,rash as well as musculo...Background The nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain-like receptor protein 12(NLRP12)-autoinflammatory disorder(NLRP12-AD)is a rare autoinflammatory disease characterized by recurrent fever,rash as well as musculoskeletal symptoms,which is rarely reported in Asian populations.Methods Three cases of NLRP12-AD presented to our hospital were studied after parental consents were obtained.Clinical presentations were recorded on a standardized case report form.Mutations of NLRP12 were detected by primary immunodeficiency disease panels and further examined by Sanger sequencing.PubMed literature search for relevant studies of systemic autoinflammatory disorders,especially NLRP12-AD between January,2000 and January,2019 was carried and the clinical data were summarized.Comparisons were made between groups in terms of onset age and of ethnicity.Results All our patients presented with fever,rash and arthritis/arthralgia,and sensorineural as well as sensorineural deafness(1/3),uveitis(1/3),abdominal pain(1/3),and myalgia(1/3).Two novel mutation variations,p.W581X and p.L558R,are reported here.In addition,we also found that two patients inherited the mutated alleles from their healthy parents,and this may be evidence of haploinsutficiency.Conclusions Although the genotypes are similar,the clinical manifestations between Chinese patients and Western patients vary thus highlighting the possible influence of ethnic and environmental factors.On the other hand,some genetic mutations may lead to specific phenotype,as we have found a high prevalence of sensorineural hearing loss among p.R284X patients.展开更多

文摘Considering the importance of higher-dimensional equations that are widely applied to real nonlinear problems,many(4+1)-dimensional integrable systems have been established by uplifting the dimensions of their corresponding lower-dimensional integrable equations.Recently,an integrable(4+1)-dimensional extension of the Boiti-Leon-Manna-Pempinelli(4DBLMP)equation has been proposed,which can also be considered as an extension of the famous Korteweg-de Vries equation that is applicable in fluids,plasma physics and so on.It is shown that new higher-dimensional variable separation solutions with several arbitrary lowerdimensional functions can also be obtained using the multilinear variable separation approach for the 4DBLMP equation.In addition,by taking advantage of the explicit expressions of the new solutions,versatile(4+1)-dimensional nonlinear wave excitations can be designed.As an illustration,periodic breathing lumps,multi-dromion-ring-type instantons,and hybrid waves on a doubly periodic wave background are discovered to reveal abundant nonlinear structures and dynamics in higher dimensions.

文摘Organoids are three-dimensional(3D)miniature structures cultured in vitro produced from either human pluripotent stem cells(hPSCs)or adult stem cells(AdSCs)derived from healthy individuals or patients that recapitulate the cellular heterogeneity,structure,and functions of human organs.The advent of human 3D organoid systems is now possible to allow remarkably detailed observation of stem cell morphogens,maintenance and differentiation resemble primary tissues,enhancing the potential to study both human physiology and developmental stage.As they are similar to their original organs and carry human genetic information,organoids derived from patient hold great promise for biomedical research and preclinical drug testing and is currently used for personalized,regenerative medicine,gene repair and transplantation therapy.In recent decades,researchers have succeeded in generating various types of organoids mimicking in vivo organs.Herein,we provide an update on current in vitro differentiation technologies of brain,retinal,kidney,liver,lung,gastrointestinal,cardiac,vascularized and multi-lineage organoids,discuss the differences between PSC-and AdSC-derived organoids,summarize the potential applications of stem cell-derived organoids systems in the laboratory and clinic,and outline the current challenges for the application of organoids,which would deepen the understanding of mechanisms of human development and enhance further utility of organoids in basic research and clinical studies.

文摘Background The nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain-like receptor protein 12(NLRP12)-autoinflammatory disorder(NLRP12-AD)is a rare autoinflammatory disease characterized by recurrent fever,rash as well as musculoskeletal symptoms,which is rarely reported in Asian populations.Methods Three cases of NLRP12-AD presented to our hospital were studied after parental consents were obtained.Clinical presentations were recorded on a standardized case report form.Mutations of NLRP12 were detected by primary immunodeficiency disease panels and further examined by Sanger sequencing.PubMed literature search for relevant studies of systemic autoinflammatory disorders,especially NLRP12-AD between January,2000 and January,2019 was carried and the clinical data were summarized.Comparisons were made between groups in terms of onset age and of ethnicity.Results All our patients presented with fever,rash and arthritis/arthralgia,and sensorineural as well as sensorineural deafness(1/3),uveitis(1/3),abdominal pain(1/3),and myalgia(1/3).Two novel mutation variations,p.W581X and p.L558R,are reported here.In addition,we also found that two patients inherited the mutated alleles from their healthy parents,and this may be evidence of haploinsutficiency.Conclusions Although the genotypes are similar,the clinical manifestations between Chinese patients and Western patients vary thus highlighting the possible influence of ethnic and environmental factors.On the other hand,some genetic mutations may lead to specific phenotype,as we have found a high prevalence of sensorineural hearing loss among p.R284X patients.

文摘By using a unique temperature-dependent,chloride-mediated approach,two atom-precise silver nanoclusters[Cl@Ag_(14)(Tab)_(12)-(C_(5)H_(4)NCl)_(12)](PF_(6))_(13)(Cl@Ag_(14))and[Cl_(3)@Ag_(24)(Tab)_(20)(C_(5)H_(4)NCl)_(11)]Cl(PF_(6))_(20)(Cl_(3)@Ag_(24))(Tab=4-(trimethylammonio)benzenethiolate,C_(5)H_(4)NCl=3-chloropyridine)were obtained successfully.Notably,the number of chloride ions encapsulated inside the Ag-S shell could be regulated by the slow dissolution of almost insoluble KCl at various temperatures.The inclusion of additional core chloride ions results in the expansion of the surrounding Ag-S shell.This article provides a promising synthetic approach for controlling the number of Ag atoms that form a shell around the anionic core,in addition to offering a potential pathway for the introduction of other inorganic anions into silver clusters.More broadly,through the use of related ligands,the synthetic strategy offers scope for generating new families of silver thiolate clusters of varying size and composition.

文摘Nonlocal symmetries related to the B?cklund transformation(BT)for the modified KdV-sine-Gordon(mKdV-SG)equation are obtained by requiring the mKdV-SG equation and its BT form invariant under the infinitesimal transformations.Then through the parameter expansion procedure,an infinite number of new nonlocal symmetries and new nonlocal conservation laws related to the nonlocal symmetries are derived.Finally,several new finite and infinite dimensional nonlinear systems are presented by applying the nonlocal symmetries as symmetry constraint conditions on the BT.
