Objective:To detect the methylation status of MGMT gene promoter in non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC),and to analyze the relationship between methylation of MGMT gene promoter and the chemosensitivity and prognosis of...Objective:To detect the methylation status of MGMT gene promoter in non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC),and to analyze the relationship between methylation of MGMT gene promoter and the chemosensitivity and prognosis of adjuvant chemotherapy after NSCLC.Methods:Tumor tissues and adjacent non-tumor tissues of 92 patients with NSCLC who underwent surgery and adjuvant chemotherapy from January 2012 to June 2015 in the thoracic surgery department of our hospital were collected,methylation-specific PCR(MSP)was used to detect the methylation status of MGMT gene promoter in tissues,and the relationship between methylation of MGMT gene promoter and chemosensitivity,progression-free survival(PFS)and 3-year overall survival rate was analyzed.Results:The methylation rate of MGMT gene promoter in cancer tissue was 39.13%(36/92)higher than that in non-cancer tissue 3.26%(3/92)(P<0.05);methylation of MGMT gene promoter was associated with TNM stage,lymph node metastasis and tumor differentiation(P<0.05);the proportion of patients with recurrence,metastasis or death in methylation group was higher than that in non-methylation group(P<0.05);PFS and 3-year overall survival rate in methylated group were lower than those in non-methylated group(P<0.05);multivariate COX regression analysis showed that lymph node metastasis and promoter methylation of MGMT gene were independent risk factors for prognosis of NSCLC patients.Conclusion:MGMT gene promoter methylation is closely related to the chemosensitivity and prognosis of platinum-based adjuvant chemotherapy after NSCLC.It may be an important target to reverse the chemosensitivity of platinum-based chemotherapy and improve the prognosis of NSCLC.展开更多
Acenes with linearly fused benzene rings have attracted much attention due to their intriguing optical and electronic properties.Nevertheless,the poor ambient stability of longer acenes has hampered the investigation ...Acenes with linearly fused benzene rings have attracted much attention due to their intriguing optical and electronic properties.Nevertheless,the poor ambient stability of longer acenes has hampered the investigation of their physicochemical properties and potential applications.The incorporation of main group elements into the acene backbones provides a viable strategy to enhance the stability,and meanwhile,generates a new family of heteroatom-doped acenes(namely heteroacenes)with modified properties and functions.In particular,boron-containing acenes represent an attractive class of heteroacenes owing to the existence of vacant p orbital of boron,which endows theπ-conjugated systems with appealing features,such as Lewis acidity,electron-accepting capability,stimuli-responsivity,and adjustable photophysical properties.During the past decade,significant progress has been achieved in the synthesis and applications of boron-containing acenes,but a focused review on this topic has been elusive.Here,we summarize the recent advances in the studies on boron-containing acenes,covering their synthesis,intriguing properties,and various applications in electroluminescence and electronic devices,as well as in biosensors,etc.We hope that this timely review will stimulate new research interest in this unique family of materials and promote their optoelectronic applications.展开更多
Nonbenzenoid polycyclic arenes have attracted great attention because of their unique topological structures and appealing properties;however,they are generally considered as poor luminescent materials due to the ring...Nonbenzenoid polycyclic arenes have attracted great attention because of their unique topological structures and appealing properties;however,they are generally considered as poor luminescent materials due to the ring puckering behavior of the nonhexagons.Acepleiadylene(APD),a nonbenzenoid isomer of pyrene,has been demonstrated as an excellent building block for optoelectronic applications,but its poor photoluminescence quantum yield(PLQY)has hampered its application in luminescent materials.Considering that the ring puckering character can be suppressed by increasing the rigidity of the nonhexagon rings,herein,we propose a novel strategy for enhancing the aromaticity of the nonhexagons to improve the PLQYs of APD derivatives.Electron-withdrawing cyano groups are introduced on the five-membered ring of APD to enhance the chargeseparated character and thus the aromaticity of the nonhexagons,endowing the cyano-substituted APDs(CNAPD and 2CNAPD)with better rigidity.Therefore,the cyano substitution successfully suppresses the nonradiative energy dissipation caused by the ring puckering,improving the PLQY from 2.4%for APD to 14%for CNAPD,and to 63%for 2CNAPD.In addition,the enhanced rigidity also suppresses the vibration sideband of the photoluminescence spectra,leading to an ultra-narrowband emission from 2CNAPD with a full-width at half-maximum(FWHM)of 13 nm(47 me V),which is a new record in organic molecules.These results demonstrate that APD derivatives have great potential in highly efficient luminescent materials with high color purity via the aromaticity regulation strategy,which provides a novel concept for designing nonbenzenoid luminescent materials.展开更多

However, litt...Danshen, the dried root of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge(Lamiaceae), is one of the traditional Chinese medicines(TCMs) most commonly used for the treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. However, little is known about the chemical and metabolic profiles of danshen in vitro or in vivo. In particular, more information is needed in relation to the 50% ethanol extracts usually used in danshen formulations such as Fufang Xueshuantong Capsules and Fufang Danshen tablets. High-performance liquid chromatography coupled with a linear ion trapOrbitrap mass spectrometer(HPLC-LTQ-Orbitrap) provides a sensitive and accurate method for analyzing the composition of samples. This method was used to determine the in vitro and in vivo chemical and metabolic profiles of danshen. Sixty-nine components of danshen extract and 118 components of danshen in rat plasma, urine, feces, and bile were unambiguously or tentatively identified. These results not only revealed the material composition of danshen, but also provided a comprehensive research approach for the identification of multi-constituents in TCMs.展开更多

Different from semimetallic graphene, nanoscale graphenes, such as graphene nanoribbons and graphene quantum dots, exhibit finite band gaps owing to the quantum confinement, making them attractive semiconductors for next-generation electronic applications. Researches based on PAHs and graphenes have expanded rapidly over the past decade, thereby posing a challenge in conducting a comprehensive review. This study aims to interconnect the fields of PAHs and graphenes, which have mainly been discussed separately. In particular, by selecting representative examples, we explain how these two domains can stimulate each other. Background:Preeclampsia(PE)is a serious complication that affects maternal and perinatal outcomes.However,the mechanisms have not been fully explained.This study was designed to analyze longitudinal gut microbiota alt...Background:Preeclampsia(PE)is a serious complication that affects maternal and perinatal outcomes.However,the mechanisms have not been fully explained.This study was designed to analyze longitudinal gut microbiota alterations in pregnant women with and without PE in the second(T2)and third trimesters(T3).Methods:In this nested case-control study,which was conducted at Nanjing Maternity and Child Health Care Hospital,fecal samples from 25 PE patients(25 fecal samples obtained in T2 and 15 fecal samples obtained in T3)and 25 matched healthy controls(25 fecal samples obtained in T2 and 22 fecal samples obtained in T3)were collected,and the microbiota were analyzed using 16S rRNA gene sequencing.The diversity and composition of the microbiota of PE cases and controls were compared.Results:No significant differences in diversity were found between the PE and control groups(P>0.05).In the control group,from T2 to T3,the relative abundances of Proteobacteria(median[Q1,Q3]:2.25%[1.24%,3.30%]vs.0.64%[0.20%,1.20%],Z=-3.880,P<0.05),and Tenericutes(median[Q1,Q3]:0.12%[0.03%,3.10%]vs.0.03%[0.02%,0.17%],Z=-2.369,P<0.05)decreased significantly.In the PE group,the relative abundance of Bacteroidetes in T2 was lower than in T3(median[Q1,Q3]:18.16%[12.99%,30.46%]vs.31.09%[19.89%,46.06%],Z=-2.417,P<0.05).In T2,the relative abundances of mircrobiota showed no significant differences between the PE group and the control group.However,in T3,the relative abundance of Firmicutes was significantly lower in the PE group than in the control group(mean±standard deviation:60.62%±15.17%vs.75.57%±11.53%,t=-3.405,P<0.05).The relative abundances of Bacteroidetes,Proteobacteria,and Enterobacteriaceae were significantly higher in the PE group than in the control group(median[Q1,Q3]:31.09%[19.89%,46.06%]vs.18.24%[12.90%,32.04%],Z=-2.537,P<0.05;1.52%[1.05%,2.61%]vs.0.64%[0.20%,1.20%],Z=-3.310,P<0.05;0.75%[0.20%,1.00%]vs.0.01%[0.004%,0.023%],Z=-4.152,P<0.05).Linear discriminant analysis combined effect size measurements analysis showed that the relative abundances of the phylum Bacteroidetes,class Bacteroidia and order Bacteroidales were increased in the PE group,while those of the phylum Firmicutes,the class Clostridia,the order Clostridiales,and the genus unidentified Lachnospiraceae were decreased in the PE group;and these differences were identified as taxonomic biomarkers of PE in T3.Conclusion:From T2 to T3,there was an obvious alteration in the gut microbiota.The gut microbiota of PE patients in T3 was significantly different from that of the control group.展开更多

The top priority of the consensus is the specific contraception consensus section for women combined with gynecological diseases because medical treatment effect as well as side effects should be weighed carefully.
