At present,metal ions from spent lithium-ion batteries are mostly recovered by the acid leaching procedure,which unavoidably introduces potential pollutants to the environment.Therefore,it is necessary to develop more...At present,metal ions from spent lithium-ion batteries are mostly recovered by the acid leaching procedure,which unavoidably introduces potential pollutants to the environment.Therefore,it is necessary to develop more direct and effective green recycling methods.In this research,a method for the direct regeneration of anode materials is reported,which includes the particles size reduction of recovered raw materials by jet milling and ball milling,followed by calcination at high temperature after lithium supplementation.The regenerated LiNi_(0.5)Co_(0.2)Mn_(0.3)O_(2) single-crystal cathode material possessed a relatively ideal layered structure and a complete surface morphology when the lithium content was n(Ni+Co+Mn):n(Li)=1:1.10 at a sintering temperature of 920 0 C,and a sintering time of 12 h.The first discharge specific capacity was 154.87 mA·h·g^(-1) between 2.75 V and 4.2 V,with a capacity retention rate of 90% after 100 cycles.展开更多
Convectively coupled equatorial Rossby waves(ERW)modulate tropical cyclone activities over tropical oceans.This study presents a survey of the statistical relationship between intraseasonal ERWs and tropical cyclone g...Convectively coupled equatorial Rossby waves(ERW)modulate tropical cyclone activities over tropical oceans.This study presents a survey of the statistical relationship between intraseasonal ERWs and tropical cyclone genesis(TCG)over major global TC basins using four-decade-long outgoing longwave radiation(OLR)and TC best-track datasets.Intraseasonal ERWs are identified from the OLR anomalies using an empirical orthogonal function(EOF)analysis method without imposing equatorial symmetry.We find that westward-propagating ERWs are most significant in four tropical ocean basins over the summer hemisphere and that ERWs exhibit similar northeast-southwest(southeast-northwest)tilted phase lines in the northern(southern)hemisphere,with an appreciable poleward advance of wave energy in most TC basins.The EOF-based ERW indices quantitatively show that ERWs significantly modulate TC genesis.The convectively active(suppressed)phases of ERWs coincide with increased(reduced)TCG occurrences.The TCG modulation by ERWs achieves the maximum where the ERWs propagate through the climatological TCG hotspots.As a result,the total number of TCG occurrences in the TC basins varies significantly according to the ERW phase.The ERW-TCG relationship is significant over the northwestern Pacific Ocean,northeastern Pacific Ocean,and the northern Indian Ocean during the northern summer seasons.In the southern summer season,the ERW-TCG relationship is significant over the southern Indian Ocean,Indonesian-Australia basin,and the southwestern Pacific Ocean.However,ERW activities are weak in the main TC development region of the Atlantic Ocean;and the impact on Atlantic TCG appears to be insignificant.展开更多
Extracellular vesicles(EVs)have recently emerged as a promising delivery platform for CRISPR/Cas9 ribonucleoproteins(RNPs),owing to their ability to minimize off-target effects and immune responses.However,enhancement...Extracellular vesicles(EVs)have recently emerged as a promising delivery platform for CRISPR/Cas9 ribonucleoproteins(RNPs),owing to their ability to minimize off-target effects and immune responses.However,enhancements are required to boost the efficiency and safety of Cas9 RNP enrichment within EVs.In response,we employed the Fc/Spa interaction system,in which the human Fc domain was fused to the intracellular domain of PTGFRN-Δ687 and anchored to the EV membrane.Simultaneously,the B domain of the Spa protein was fused to the C domain of cargos such as Cre or spCas9.Due to the robust interaction between Fc and Spa,this method enriched nearly twice the amount of cargo within the EVs.EVs loaded with spCas9 RNP targeting the HSV1 genome exhibited significant inhibition of viral replication in vitro and in vivo.Moreover,following neuron-targeting peptide RVG modification,the in vivo dosage in neural tissues substantially increased,contributing to the clearance of the HSV1 virus in neural tissues and exhibiting a lower off-target efficiency.These findings establish a robust platform for efficient EV-based SpCas9 delivery,offering potential therapeutic advantages for HSV1 infections and other neurological disorders.展开更多

In its first phase, JUNA aims at the direct measurements of^(25)Mg(p,γ)^(26)Al,^(19)F(p,α)^(16)O,^(13)C(α,n)^(16)O and ^(12)C(α,γ)^(16)O reactions. The experimental setup,which includes an accelerator system with high stability and high intensity, a detector system, and a shielding material with low background, will be established during the above research. In the field of cranio-maxillofacial(CMF)surgery, surgical simulation is becoming a very powerful tool to plan surgery and simulate surgical results before actually performing a CMF surgical procedure.Reliable predict...In the field of cranio-maxillofacial(CMF)surgery, surgical simulation is becoming a very powerful tool to plan surgery and simulate surgical results before actually performing a CMF surgical procedure.Reliable prediction of facial soft tissue changes is in particular essential for better preparation and to shorten the time taken for the operation. This paper presents a surgical simulation system to predict facial soft tissue changes caused by the movement of bone segments during CMF surgery. Two experiments were designed to test the feasibility of this simulation system. The test results demonstrate the feasibility of fast and good prediction of post-operative facial appearance, with texture. Our surgical simulation system is applicable to computer-assisted CMF surgery.展开更多
Structural optimization technologies are increasingly applied to lightweight automotive structural design.In a body-inwhite(BIW)development project,optimization technologies are applied in three steps that are seamles...Structural optimization technologies are increasingly applied to lightweight automotive structural design.In a body-inwhite(BIW)development project,optimization technologies are applied in three steps that are seamlessly integrated into engineering practice.By following a design-driven approach,an innovative design that was 50.65 kg lighter than the base design was achieved.First,topology optimization was used to investigate the optimal material distribution in a given design space,and helped in extracting the main load path,while considering crashworthiness,NVH,and static stiffness performance requirements.In the second step,the effective design of a beam cross-section and feasible joints was carried out based on optimization technology and expert knowledge.In this step,the deep involvement of manufacturing process experts on stamping and joint connection feasibility analysis increased the chance of success remarkably.The sensitivity analysis,topography optimization,and gauge optimization of the created draft 3D BIW frame comprised the last step before finalizing the initial design.The new design was validated by full load case simulations,including full vehicle crashworthiness analysis,mode frequency,and body mount point dynamic stiffness analysis,and BIW stiffness and component attachment stiffness analysis.The validation results indicate that the new BIW design achieves the performance goal,while being 13.3%lighter than the base design.展开更多

However, in most cases, the guest ions were monovalent due to lack of reliable method to insert divalent and trivalent guest ions. In this work, we demonstrated that divalent and trivalent metal ions could be inserted into frameworks of a coordinate polymer, Cu3[Fe(CN)6]2, through electrochemical intercalation. The magnetism of the host frameworks was changed among paramagnetic, superparamagnetic, and ferromagnetic as demonstrated by physical property measurement system (PPMS). Furthermore, the magnetization of the frameworks under low temperatures correlated to the guest ions significantly. The ionic radius and net charge of the guest ions influenced the intercalation amount of the guest ions, therefore affected the valence change of Fe3+ ions in the host frameworks, finally leading to variation of the magnetism of the host materials.展开更多
