The long-term earthquake prediction from 2021 to 2030 is carried out by researching the active tectonic block boundary zones in the Chinese mainland.Based on the strong earthquake recurrence model,the cumulative probability of each target fault in the next 10 years is given by the recurrence period and elapsed time of each fault,which are adopted from relevant studies such as seismological geology,geodesy,and historical earthquake records.Based on the long-term predictions of large earthquakes throughout the world,this paper proposes a comprehensive judgment scheme based on the fault segments with the seismic gap,motion strongly locked,sparse small-moderate earthquakes,and apparent Coulomb stress increase.This paper presents a comprehensive analysis of the relative risk for strong earthquakes that may occur in the coming 10 years on the major faults in the active tectonic block boundary zones in the Chinese mainland.The present loading rate of each fault is first constrained by geodetic observations;the cumulative displacement of each fault is then estimated by the elapsed time since the most recent strong earthquake. 展开更多

Olive(Olea europaea L.)is internationally renowned for its high-end product,extra virgin olive oil.An incomplete genome of O.europaea was previously obtained using shotgun sequencing in 2016.To further explore the genetic and breeding utilization of olive,an updated draft genome of olive was obtained using Oxford Nanopore third-generation sequencing and Hi-C technology.Seven different assembly strategies were used to assemble the fi nal genome of 1.30 Gb,with contig and scaffold N50 sizes of4.67 Mb and 42.60 Mb,respectively.This greatly increased the quality of the olive genome.We assembled 1.1 Gb of sequences of the total olive genome to 23 pseudochromosomes by Hi-C,and 53,518 protein-coding genes were predicted in the current assembly.Comparative genomics analyses,including gene family expansion and contraction,whole-genome replication,phylogenetic analysis,and positive selection,were performed.Based on the obtained high-quality olive genome,a total of nine gene families with 202 genes were identi fi ed in the oleuropein biosynthesis pathway,which is twice the number ofgenes identi fi ed from the previous data.This new accession of the olive genome is of suf fi cient quality for genome-wide studies on gene function in olive and has provided a foundation for the molecular breeding of olive species. 展开更多

Microtubules and their regulatory proteins are involved in the regulation of plant cell morphology.SPIRAL1(SPR1),a plant-specific microtubule-binding protein,is critical in regulating the anisotropic growth of plant cells.Our previous study showed that overexpressed S alix SmS PR1 genes in Arabidopsis thaliana caused right-handed spiral elongation in etiolated seedlings,but there were no morphological differences between wild-type and transgenic seedlings under varied light conditions.We then studied the transcriptional regulation patterns in transgenic plants engineered with the S mSPR1 gene.Transcriptomic results showed that a large number of differentially expressed genes were involved in plant light signal reception,chlorophyll synthesis and photosystem structure.Eleven gene families with 42 photosynthesis-related genes and 6 light-responsive genes were involved in regulation of cell morphology.Our results showed that these genes in the SmSPR1-ox line were particularly down-regulated under dark conditions.In addition,33 TFs showed differences between S mSPR1-ox and wild-type lines.Taken together,the transcriptome analysis provides new insight into investigating the molecular mechanisms of light-induced cell morphological changes mediated by the microtubule binding protein SPR1. 展开更多

Nitric oxide(NO)regulates plant growth,enhances nutrient uptake,and activates disease and stress tolerance mechanisms in most plants,making NO a potential tool for use in improving the yield and quality of horticultural crop species.Although the use of NO in horticulture is still in its infancy,research on NO in model plant species has provided an abundance of valuable information on horticultural crop species.Emerging evidence implies that the bioactivity of NO can occur through many potential mechanisms but occurs mainly through S-nitrosation,the covalent and reversible attachment of NO to cysteine thiol.In this context,NO signaling specifically affects crop development,immunity,and environmental interactions.Moreover,NO can act as a fumigant against a wide range of postharvest diseases and pests.However,for effective use of NO in horticulture,both understanding and exploring the biological significance and potential mechanisms of NO in horticultural crop species are critical.This review provides a picture of our current understanding of how NO is synthesized and transduced in plants,and particular attention is given to the significance of NO in breaking seed dormancy,balancing root growth and development,enhancing nutrient acquisition,mediating stress responses,and guaranteeing food safety for horticultural production. 展开更多

Magnesium(Mg)and its composites have been widely used in different fields,but the mechanical properties and deformation mechanisms of polycrystalline Mg(polyMg)at the atomic scale are poorly understood.In this paper,the effects of grain size,temperature,and strain rate on the tensile properties of polyMg are explored and discussed by theMolecular dynamics(MD)simulation method.The calculated results showed that there exists a critical grain size of 10 nm for the mechanical properties of polyMg.The flow stress decreases with the increase of grain size if the average grain size is larger than 10 nm,which shows the Hall-Petch effect,and the deformation mechanism of large grain-sized polyMg is mainly dominated by the movement of dislocations.When the average grain size is less than 10 nm,it shows the reverse Hall-Petch effect that the flow stress decreases with the decrease of grain size,and the deformation mode of polyMg with small grain-size is the movement and deformation of atoms at the grain boundary.Due to the more active motion of atoms as the system temperature increases,the material can easily reach the plastic stage under tensile loading,and the mechanical properties of polyMg decrease at high temperatures.The strain rate has a hardening effect on the properties of composite.Based on our calculated results,it can provide theoretical guidance for the applications of Mg metal and Mg matrix composites. 展开更多

Due to its convenience, wear ability, affinity, continuously monitoring biological signal, etc., fabric electrodes used in biological signal acquisition attracted more and more interest from researchers around the world. Fabric electrode is a kind of intelligent textiles, and its application is very prominent in biological signal acquisition, supercapacitors and ECG (electric signal) monitoring. There are many methods that can be used to prepare fabric electrodes. They are mainly metal plating, conductive polymer coating, magnetron sputtering, and gas phase deposition and impregnation. Besides, they select the appropriate substrate, conductive medium and composite way to get light fabric electrodes which have high conductivity and good conformability. Since the conductive properties of conductive polymers are weaker than those of metal, conductive polymer must undergo protonic acid doping. They can be polythiophene, polypyrrole, polyaniline, etc. However, at present, researchers commit more studies to metal or carbon-based electrodes. For example, a layer of silver film is platted on the fabric by magnetron sputtering to increase its conductivity. In this paper, the development of fabric electrodes was studied from several aspects, namely, the generation of biological signals, the overall design of the wearable monitoring systems, its classification, conductive principles, preparation of fabric electrode and application. 展开更多

[Objectives] This study was conducted to explore the interaction between nitrogen-fixing and phosphate-solubilizing strains and the optimal combination of different functional strains,in order to provide a theoretical basis for the development of PGPR compound fertilizers suitable for local environment.[Methods] In this study,16S rDNA gene sequence analysis was used to identify fast-growing and competitive strains from pasture nodules and rhizosphere soils in Guizhou Province,and three representative Rhizobia and phosphorus-solubilizing bacteria were chosen for the test of bacterial combination when reducing 50% of nitrogen and 30% of phosphorus.The effects of different strain combinations on the plant height,root length,aboveground and underground biomass of Lotus corniculatus L.were investigated,and the total nitrogen and total phosphorus contents of the plants were determined.[Results] The mixed bacterial agents could promote the increase of root biomass,and the effects of A1,A3,B3 and C3 were the most obvious.The fresh weight and dry weight of the roots of L.corniculatus increased by 30.35%-168.45% and 26.43%-180.00%,respectively,and A3,B3,B2 and C3 had the best effects.The total phosphorus content of the plants increased by 12.79%-55.25% compared with the CK2;and most of the bacterial agents with significant growth-promoting effects showed decreased total nitrogen contents,while those with non-significant growth-promoting effects showed significantly-increased total nitrogen contents,which were not as much as the CK1.Comprehensively,the most productive combination was C3,namely R27-2 Rhinohizobium fredii and P33-3 Stenotrophomonas rhizophila.[Conclusions] This study can provide a theoretical basis for the production and promotion of bacterial fertilizers. 展开更多

In order to solve the problems of low efficiency and heavy workload of tumor coding in hospitals,we proposed a Drools-based intelligent tumors coding method.At present,most tumor hospitals use manual coding,the trained coders follow the main diagnosis selection rules to select the main diagnosis from the discharge diagnosis of the tumor patients,and then code all the discharge diagnoses according to the coding rules.Owing to different coders have different familiarity with the main diagnosis selection rules and ICD-10 disease coding,it will reduce the efficiency of the artificial coding results and affect the quality of the whole medical record.We first analyze the ICD library information,doctor's diagnostic information,radiotherapy information or chemotherapy information,surgery information,hospitalization information and other related information,and then generated Drools rule files based on the main diagnostic selection principles and coding principles,we also combined the text similarity analysis algorithm to construct an intelligent diagnostic information coding method.Practice shows that the coding method can be used to make the work efficiently and at the same time obtain the coding results which meet the standard and have high accuracy,so that the coders can be free from the repeated work and pay more attention to coding quality control and the coding logic adjustment. 展开更多

The results showed that compared with non-application of potash fertilizer,conventional fertilization and balanced fertilization significantly increased the spike length,thousand kernel weight,yield and total potassium content of the stalk,as well as soil organic matter,total nitrogen and available phosphorus content; compared with conventional fertilization,the balanced fertilization did not significantly increase the rice growth and yield,but effectively increased rice grain total nitrogen,stalk total nitrogen and total phosphorus content,as well as soil available phosphorus and available potassium content. It could be found that potash fertilizer played a certain role in increasing rice yield and soil nutrient content,and the balanced fertilization had the most significant effect. 展开更多

[Objectives]This study was conducted to isolate and investigate the endophytic fungi with antimicrobial activity from the healthy leaves and bark of Metasequoia glyptostroboides Hu&W.C.Cheng regarded as an important medicinal plant in China.[Methods]Endophytic fungi with visible antimicrobial activity were isolated from the healthy leaves and bark of M.glyptostroboides,and primarily screened using Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus as test microorganisms.[Results]Three isolates with relatively higher antimicrobial activity,labeled as MG-01,MG-02,MG-09,were selected for study.Molecular and morphological analysis indicated that the three isolated endophytes belong to Penicillium sp.The ethyl acetate(EtOAc)extracts of the three endophytes were obtained and subjected to the disk diffusion assay,using E.coil,S.aureus,Pseudomonas aeruginosa,Enterococcus faecalis,Monilia albicanas,and Bacillus subtilis as test microorganisms.The minimum inhibitory activity(MIC)of the endophyte with relatively highest antimicrobial activity was determined using two-fold broth micro-dilution method.All the endophytes showed a broad spectrum antimicrobial activity.Among the three endophytes,the strain MG-09 exhibited relatively highest antimicrobial activity with the zones of inhibition(ZOI)ranging from 14.15 to 24.07 mm and MIC ranging from 416.67 to 65.11μg/ml.[Conclusions]The endophytic fungi colonized in M.glyptostroboides are capable of producing effective antimicrobial compounds which may be a potential source for drug discovery and biocide production. 展开更多

OBJECTIVE To assess the effect of 17 β-estradiol(E2) on cell proliferation, cell invasiveness and its regulation of MTA3, Snail and matrix metalloproteinase 2 (MMP-2) expression in the ovarian clear cell adenocarcinoma cell line ES-2, and to further investigate the mechanism involved. METHODS We first investigated expression of ERα, ERβ, PR and E-cadherin of ES-2 cells by RT-PCR and Western blots. Before all experiments, the ES-2 cells were grown in medium depleted of steroid for more than 7 days. Following treatment with 10^-7,10^-8 and 10^-9 M E2, cell viability of the ES-2 cells was determined by the MTT method, and the cell cycle distribution and apoptosis were examined by flow cytometry (FCM). Invasion and mobility assays were performed using modified Boyden chambers. MTA3, Snail and MMP-2 mRNA expression was measured by RT-PCR, and Snail, MMP-2 protein levels were determined by IHC. MMP-2 activity was assayed by zymography. RESULTS RT-PCR and Western Blots showed that theexpression of ERα and E-cadherin mRNA and protein in the ES-2 cells was negative, while ERβ and PR expression was positive. E2 at 10^-7,10^-8 or 10^-9M stimulated cell proliferation. A level of 10^-8M E2 reduced the proportion of G0-G1 phase cells and increased the proportion of cells in the S phase, but it had no effect on apoptosis. Invasiveness and mobility of the ES-2 cells was significantly increased by 10^-8M E2. Treatment with 10^-8M E2 led to reduced MTA3 mRNA expression, and elevated Snail and MMP-2 mRNA and protein levels. CONCLUSION E2 enhanced invasion by the ES-2 cells. The effects observed maybe mediated by down-regulation of MTA3 and up-reguation of Snail and MMP-2. 展开更多

The cDNA of PHYC gene of tall fescue ( Festuca arundinacea ) was cloned by RT-PCR,named FaPHYC.The sequence was analyzed by bioinformatic software,and the results showed that the full-length cDNA(3816 bp) was obtained with an open reading frame predicated to be 3 411 bp,which encoded 1 136 amino acids.By BLASTP analysis,the N-terminal of FaPHYC was composed of GAF and pPhytochrome domains,and its C-terminal included two repeated PAS domains,one histidine kinase A domain and one histidine kinase-like ATPase domain.The phylogenetic analysis showed that FaPHYC was closely related to PHYCs from other Gramineae plants.The qRT-PCR results showed that FaPHYC expression was regulated by drought stress,heat stress,salt stress and nitrogen stress.The real-time quantitative PCR assay showed the expression of FaPHYC in tall fescue seedlings was continuously up-regulated during the light period and down-regulated in the dark.The results suggest that FaPHYC is photoperiod sensitive and plays a functional role in flowering regulation by photoperiod in tall fescue.The FaPHYC gene was cloned and reported from tall fescue for the first time,which lays a foundation for the investigation of the stress mechanism of FaPHYC in tall fescue plant. 展开更多

Objective: We explored the relationship between traditional Chinese constitution and risk factors for cardiovascular disease in subjects with high-normal blood pressure (BP). Methods: The traditional Chinese constitution of 80 subjects with high-normal BP was judged by questionnaires and interviews. Measurements of cardiovascular and metabolic health in- cluded BP, body weight, body mass index (BMI), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), 2-hour oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT2h), and waist cir- cumference. Statistical relationships between cardiovascular disease risk factors and specific Chinese constitution were evaluated by univariate and multivariate analyses. Results: Ping He, Tan Shi, and Yin Xu were the dominant constitutions in subjects with high-normal blood pressure. There were significant differences in weight, LDL-C, BMI, OGTT2h, and waist circumference between Tan Shi and Ping He (P P < 0.05), and weight, BMI, waist circumference, SBP, and LDL-C between Tan Shi and Yin Xu constitutions (P < 0.01). Logistic regression found a strong association between the Tan Shi constitution and LDL-C in subjects with high-normal blood pressure. Conclusion: Ping He, Tan Shi, and Yin Xu are the principle traditional Chinese constitutions in subject with high-normal blood pressure. The Tan Shi constitution is associated with multiple risk factors for cardiovascular disease (LDL-C, BMI, body weight, and waist circumference), while OGTT2h is closely related to the Yin Xu constitution. 展开更多

[ Objective ] This study aimed to construct RNAi expression vector targeting vemalizational gene FaCONSTANS (GenBank accession number: GU214996) in tall rescue. [ Method] A 145 bp long Arabidopsis actin gene intron was inserted into the expression vector to construct an intermediate vector pBI121-M-INT. Two pairs of specific primers with restriction sites were designed to amplify a 351 bp long cDNA conserved sequence fragment of vemalizational gene FaCONSTANS for RT-PCR. After restriction enzyme digestion, the amplified fragment was inserted forwardly and reversely at two sides of the intron of intermediate vector to construct an RNAi expression vector with hairpin structure. [ Result ] Double digestion (HindIII + BamHI) showed that the intron was successfully insert- ed into the vector pBI121. PCR amplification and double digestion indicated that target fragment FaCONSTANS was successfully inserted forwardly and reversely in- to the intermediate vector. [ Conclusion] This study laid foundation for breeding novel flowering-inhibited tall rescue cultivars. 展开更多

[ Method ] The protoplasts were separated from the blossom petals of Cosmos bipinnatus and Cosmos sulphureus availed with the function of pectinase and cellulase, and the fusion of two pretoplasts was performed with PEG. [ Results] A great deal of free pretoplasts were obtained from Cosmos bipinnatus by using 6% mannitol + 1.3% cellu- lase + 1.2% pectinase, and from Cosmos sulphureus by using 10% mannitol + 1.3% cellulase + 1.2% pectinase. Five hours after of enzymolysis treatment, large amount of dissociated protoplasts were observed in the solution. Pretoplast fusion was be obtained by using 30% PEG fusion liquid and 0. lmol/1 CaC12 solution (pH value = 9.5). [ Conclusion] Our study established an optimal separation and fusion system of protoplasts from different coreopsis species, laying foundation for the breeding of novel coreopsis varieties. 展开更多

Wearable monitoring system is designed for skin stimulation of conductive adhesive, prolonged physiological monitoring and biocompatibility, whose core is fabric electrodes and it can feedback physiological status by analysis of abnormal electrocardiogram (ECG). Fabric electrode is a sensor to collect biological signals based on textile materials including signals acquisition, processing systems and information feedback platform and so on. In this paper, the design methods and classification of medical electrodes would be introduced. It also sorted out the principle of biological electrical signals, the design methods and characteristics of different material and different structure electrodes from the point of dry electrodes and wet electrodes. There are many methods that can be used to prepare fabric electrodes. They are mainly metal plating, conductive polymer coating, magnetron sputtering, gas phase deposition and impregnation. Besides, they select the appropriate substrate, conductive medium and composite way to get light fabric electrodes which have high conductivity, good conformability. From the perspective of biological signal acquisition by fabric electrodes, this paper also sorted out the influence and approaches of biological signals and the way to feedback the physiological condition of human. As a new generation of bio-signal acquisition material, fabric electrode has met the requirements of the development of modern medicine. In recent years, with the rapid development of the robot, its protective fabric has been developed quickly. This paper is making Al, SiO2 as the sputtering target materials, magnetron sputtering as technology, on the back of the fabric sputtering Al layer, double-layer Al/SiO2 film, and three-layer SiO2/Al/SiO2 film through the test of the heat reflectivity of the composite materials. As a result, the highest reflectivity of the SiO2/Al/SiO2, SiO2/Al, and single Al film is 64.97%, 57.38%, and 51.59%, respectively. It is clear that reflectivity increases with the increase of the membrane layer. In three kinds of membrane structures, there are nanometer Al particles in the formation of dense membrane structure, which can improve the reflectivity of the fabric. 展开更多

Low-dose computed tomography(LDCT)contains the mixed noise of Poisson and Gaus-sian,which makes the image reconstruction a challenging task.In order to describe the statistical characteristics of the mixed noise,we adopt the sinogram preprocessing as a stan-dard maximum a posteriori(MAP).Based on the fact that the sinogram of LDCT has non-local self-similarity property,it exhibits low-rank characteristics.The conventional way of solving the low-rank problem is implemented in matrix forms,and ignores the correlations among similar patch groups.To avoid this issue,we make use of a nonlocal Kronecker-Basis-Representation(KBR)method to depict the low-rank problem.A new denoising model,which consists of the sinogram preprocessing for data fidelity and the nonlocal KBR term,is developed in this work.The proposed denoising model can better illustrate the generative mechanism of the mixed noise and the prior knowledge of the LDCT.Nu-merical results show that the proposed denoising model outperforms the state-of-the-art algorithms in terms of peak-signal-to-noise ratio(PSNR),feature similarity(FSIM),and normalized mean square error(NMSE). 展开更多
