Moreover, the results of previously p...Background: A latest Meta-analysis on TP53 Arg72Pro polymorphism with gastric cancer (GC) risk was published in 2015 including 20 literatures, while our study included 43 studies. Moreover, the results of previously published original studies were inconsistent and the credibility of the significant correlation between the statistical results has been ignored. Therefore, an updated Meta-analysis was conducted to further explore these associations. Objective: To explore whether these two gene polymorphisms are related to the risk, clinical manifestations, and pathological features of GC. Methods: We searched several Chinese and English databases. The crude odds ratio (OR) with 95% confidence interval (CI) was used to evaluate the correlation. In addition, false positive reporting probability (FPRP), bayesian false discovery probability (BFDP), and Venice criteria were used to assess the reliability of statistically significant correlation. Results: Overall, the TP53 Arg72Pro polymorphism was related to a significantly increased GC risk (AP vs. AA: OR = 1.12, 95% CI = 1.02 - 1.24;PP + AP vs. AA: OR = 1.12, 95% CI = 1.02 - 1.24;P vs. A: OR = 1.07, 95% CI = 1.00 - 1.15). However, after excluding the low quality and Hardy–Weinberg Disequilibrium (HWD) studies, significant changes were found on the TP53 Arg72Pro polymorphism with GC risk in Caucasians (PP vs. AA: OR = 1.48, 95% CI = 1.01 - 2.16) and non-gastric cancer control groups (PP vs. AP + AA: OR = 1.33, 95% CI = 1.07 - 1.64)). However, the above significant results were considered unreliable after being adjusted with Bayesian error detection probability (BFDP) and false positive reporting probability (FPRP). These unreliable results were confirmed again, and no new reliable results were found in the further sensitivity analysis (only studies that met the quality assessment criteria). Conclusions: After considering the quality of the study and the reliability of the results, this Meta-analysis showed that TP53 codon 72 polymorphisms had no significant correlation with GC risk. Because of various confounding factors, the result that these polymorphisms increase GC risk is more likely to be a false positive result.展开更多

In this study, aligned and randomly oriented collagen nanofiber s...Ideal tissue-engineered scaffold materials regulate proliferation, apoptosis and differentiation of cells seeded on them by regulating gene expression. In this study, aligned and randomly oriented collagen nanofiber scaffolds were prepared using electronic spinning technology. Their diameters and appearance reached the standards of tissue-engineered nanometer scaffolds. The nanofiber scaffolds were characterized by a high swelling ratio, high porosity and good mechanical properties. The proliferation of spinal cord-derived neural stem cells on novel nanofiber scaffolds was obviously enhanced. The proportions of cells in the S and G2/M phases noticeably increased. Moreover, the proliferation rate of neural stem cells on the aligned collagen nanofiber scaffolds was high. The expression levels of cyclin D1 and cyclin-dependent kinase 2 were increased. Bcl-2 expression was significantly increased, but Bax and caspase-3 gene expressions were obviously decreased. There was no significant difference in the differentiation of neural stem cells into neurons on aligned and randomly oriented collagen nanofiber scaffolds. These results indicate that novel nanofiber scaffolds could promote the proliferation of spinal cord-derived neural stem cells and inhibit apoptosis without inducing differentiation. Nanofiber scaffolds regulate apoptosis and proliferation in neural stem cells by altering gene expression.展开更多

A 43-year-old male was admitted to General Hospital of Northern Theater Command with exacerbation of chest pain for 10 d.Computed tomographic angiography(CTA)showed an irregular aortic arch aneurysm involving the left...A 43-year-old male was admitted to General Hospital of Northern Theater Command with exacerbation of chest pain for 10 d.Computed tomographic angiography(CTA)showed an irregular aortic arch aneurysm involving the left subclavian artery(LSA),with penetrating aortic ulcer and intramural hematoma.A modified fenestrated thoracic endovascular aortic repair(TEVAR)technique was performed successfully.Follow-up CTA showed that stent grafts were well-apposed,without endoleaks,migration,or branch artery occlusion,and the hematoma was almost completely absorbed.In this case,precise fenestrations were created by measurements based on three-dimensional CT reconstruction and angiography.Furthermore,the physician chose an LSA approach to catch the guide wire and deployed branched stent grafts,considering the oblique direction of this branch and the small size of the fenestration.This case shows that pre-fenestrated and inner bare stent enhancing TEVAR is a safe and feasible technique for repair of complicated aortic arch aneurysm.展开更多

In this work,a direct discontinuous Galerkin(DDG)method with artificial viscosity is developed to solve the compressible Navier-Stokes equations for simulating the transonic or supersonic flow,where the DDG approach i...In this work,a direct discontinuous Galerkin(DDG)method with artificial viscosity is developed to solve the compressible Navier-Stokes equations for simulating the transonic or supersonic flow,where the DDG approach is used to discretize viscous and heat fluxes.A strong residual-based artificial viscosity(AV)technique is proposed to be applied in the DDG framework to handle shock waves and layer structures appearing in transonic or supersonic flow,which promotes convergence and robustness.Moreover,the AV term is added to classical BR2 methods for comparison.A number of 2-D and 3-D benchmarks such as airfoils,wings,and a full aircraft are presented to assess the performance of the DDG framework with the strong residualbased AV term for solving the two dimensional and three dimensional Navier-Stokes equations.The proposed framework provides an alternative robust and efficient approach for numerically simulating the multi-dimensional compressible Navier-Stokes equations for transonic or supersonic flow.展开更多
An L-band HTS duplexer with improved performance for communication applications has been developed.This is an improved version of the duplexer previously developed by our group.The duplexer was composed of a T-junctio...An L-band HTS duplexer with improved performance for communication applications has been developed.This is an improved version of the duplexer previously developed by our group.The duplexer was composed of a T-junction and two channels.Each channel has a 10-pole quasi-elliptic function bandpass HTS filter with a bandwidth of 27 MHz,and center frequencies at 1200 MHz and 1260 MHz.To achieve higher performance,especially a good balance between selectivity and flat group delay,the two pairs of transmission zeros from the two filters were reassigned so that one pair is used for high selectivity and the other for flat group delay.To reduce the influence of parasitical coupling,new coupling structures were developed in the simulation process.The duplexer was fabricated on a 2 inch diameter,0.5 mm thick LaAlO3 wafer with a double-sided YBCO film.The measured results showed a very high performance:a mid-band insertion loss of 0.2 dB,a return loss better than-14 dB,a shape factor better than 1.4:1,an out-of-band rejection of better than 70 dB in a wide frequency range up to 3 GHz and excellent isolation(higher than 80 dB) between the two channels.In addition,the frequency band 5 ns group delay variation is over 10.5 MHz(38.7% of 1 dB bandwidth).展开更多
Long-lasting protective immune responses are expected following vaccination.However,most vaccines alone are inability to evoke an efficient protection.The combinatory administration of adjuvants with vaccines is criti...Long-lasting protective immune responses are expected following vaccination.However,most vaccines alone are inability to evoke an efficient protection.The combinatory administration of adjuvants with vaccines is critical for generating the enhanced immune responses.Herein,with biocompatible poly(4-vinylpyridine)(P4VP)as template,2.5 nm iron/molybdenum oxide cluster,{Mo_(72)Fe_(30)},is applied as an adjuvant to co-assemble with antigens of Mycobacterium bovis via hydrogen bonding at molecular scale.Molecular scale integration of the antigens and{Mo_(72)Fe_(30)}and their full exposure to body fluid media contribute to the augmentation of both humoral and cellular immune responses of the vaccines after inoculation in mice.Anti-inflammatory factor IL-10 gradually increases after 2 weeks followed by a final back to normal level by the 5th week.The balance between proinflammatory cytokines and anti-inflammatory factors suggests that immune system can be activated in the early stage of infection by the antigens carried by the supra-particles and secrete acute inflammatory factors for host defense and anti-inflammatory factors for immune protection.展开更多

However, the num...Currently, mere are many onune review weo sites where consumers can freely write comments about different kinds of products and services. These comments are quite useful for other potential consumers. However, the number of online comments is often large and the number continues to grow as more and more consumers contribute. In addition, one comment may mention more than one product and con- tain opinions about different products, mentioning something good and something bad. However, they share only a single overall score, Therefore, it is not easy to know the quality of an individual product from these comments. This paper presents a novel approach to generate review summaries including scores and description snippets with re- spect to each individual product. From the large number of comments, we first extract the context (snippet) that includes a description of the products and choose those snippets that express consumer opinions on them. We then propose several methods to predict the rating (from 1 to 5 stars) of the snip- pets. Finally, we derive a generic framework for generating summaries from the snippets. We design a new snippet selec- tion algorithm to ensure that the returned results preserve the opinion-aspect statistical properties and attribute-aspect cov- erage based on a standard seat allocation algorithm. Through experiments we demonstrate empirically that our methods are effective. We also quantitatively evaluate each step of our ap- proach.展开更多

The models and mod- eling techniques for popularity of microblogs are studied in this paper. A huge data set based on Sina Weibo, one of the most popular microblogging services, is used in the study. First, two different types of popularity, namely number of retweets and number of possible views are defined, while their relationships are discussed. Then, the temporal dynamics, in- cluding lifecycles and tipping-points, of tweets' popularity are studied. For modeling the temporal dynamics, a piece- wise sigmoid model is used. Empirical studies show the ef- fectiveness of our modeling methods.展开更多

Howev...Most entity ranking research aims to retrieve a ranked list of entities from a Web corpus given a user query. The rank order of entities is determined by the relevance between the query and contexts of entities. However, entities can be ranked directly based on their relative importance in a document collection, independent of any queries. In this paper, we introduce an entity ranking algorithm named NERank+. Given a document collection, NERank+ first constructs a graph model called Topical Tripartite Graph, consisting of document, topic and entity nodes. We design separate ranking functions to compute the prior ranks of entities and topics, respectively. A meta-path constrained random walk algorithm is proposed to propagate prior entity and topic ranks based on the graph model. We evaluate NERank+ over real-life datasets and compare it with baselines. Experimental results illustrate the effectiveness of our approach.展开更多

文摘Long-lasting protective immune responses are expected following vaccination.However,most vaccines alone are inability to evoke an efficient protection.The combinatory administration of adjuvants with vaccines is critical for generating the enhanced immune responses.Herein,with biocompatible poly(4-vinylpyridine)(P4VP)as template,2.5 nm iron/molybdenum oxide cluster,{Mo_(72)Fe_(30)},is applied as an adjuvant to co-assemble with antigens of Mycobacterium bovis via hydrogen bonding at molecular scale.Molecular scale integration of the antigens and{Mo_(72)Fe_(30)}and their full exposure to body fluid media contribute to the augmentation of both humoral and cellular immune responses of the vaccines after inoculation in mice.Anti-inflammatory factor IL-10 gradually increases after 2 weeks followed by a final back to normal level by the 5th week.The balance between proinflammatory cytokines and anti-inflammatory factors suggests that immune system can be activated in the early stage of infection by the antigens carried by the supra-particles and secrete acute inflammatory factors for host defense and anti-inflammatory factors for immune protection.

文摘Currently, mere are many onune review weo sites where consumers can freely write comments about different kinds of products and services. These comments are quite useful for other potential consumers. However, the number of online comments is often large and the number continues to grow as more and more consumers contribute. In addition, one comment may mention more than one product and con- tain opinions about different products, mentioning something good and something bad. However, they share only a single overall score, Therefore, it is not easy to know the quality of an individual product from these comments. This paper presents a novel approach to generate review summaries including scores and description snippets with re- spect to each individual product. From the large number of comments, we first extract the context (snippet) that includes a description of the products and choose those snippets that express consumer opinions on them. We then propose several methods to predict the rating (from 1 to 5 stars) of the snip- pets. Finally, we derive a generic framework for generating summaries from the snippets. We design a new snippet selec- tion algorithm to ensure that the returned results preserve the opinion-aspect statistical properties and attribute-aspect cov- erage based on a standard seat allocation algorithm. Through experiments we demonstrate empirically that our methods are effective. We also quantitatively evaluate each step of our ap- proach.

文摘As one kind of social media, microblogs are widely used for sensing the real-world. The popularity of mi- croblogs is an important measurement for evaluation of the influencial of pieces of information. The models and mod- eling techniques for popularity of microblogs are studied in this paper. A huge data set based on Sina Weibo, one of the most popular microblogging services, is used in the study. First, two different types of popularity, namely number of retweets and number of possible views are defined, while their relationships are discussed. Then, the temporal dynamics, in- cluding lifecycles and tipping-points, of tweets' popularity are studied. For modeling the temporal dynamics, a piece- wise sigmoid model is used. Empirical studies show the ef- fectiveness of our modeling methods.
文摘Most entity ranking research aims to retrieve a ranked list of entities from a Web corpus given a user query. The rank order of entities is determined by the relevance between the query and contexts of entities. However, entities can be ranked directly based on their relative importance in a document collection, independent of any queries. In this paper, we introduce an entity ranking algorithm named NERank+. Given a document collection, NERank+ first constructs a graph model called Topical Tripartite Graph, consisting of document, topic and entity nodes. We design separate ranking functions to compute the prior ranks of entities and topics, respectively. A meta-path constrained random walk algorithm is proposed to propagate prior entity and topic ranks based on the graph model. We evaluate NERank+ over real-life datasets and compare it with baselines. Experimental results illustrate the effectiveness of our approach.
