Does Parental Migration Affect Left-Behind Children’s Social Anxiety?A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Social anxiety is a common psychological problem among left-behind children(LBC)and has been a popular issue in recent years.Children with higher levels of social anxiety have more emotional and behavioral problems and are prone to negative life events.Although several studies have explored the differences in social anxiety between LBC and non-left-behind children(N-LBC),the findings have not been consistent.In this study,a systematic review and meta-analysis method was used,with 411 papers retrieved on October 01,2023,from Pubmed,Embase,Web of Science,and Chinese databases(CNKI,VIP,and Wanfang)(PROSPERO registry number:CRD42023472463).Twenty-one studies met the research criteria and included 11,254 LBC and 13,096 N-LBC.LBC scored significantly higher for social anxiety([WMD(95%CI):0.35[0.23,0.48],p<0.001])and social avoidance and distress([WMD(95%CI):0.35[0.23,0.48],p<0.001]).Subgroup analyses showed significant differences in effect sizes for the overall proportion of children left behind(p=0.02).In addition,different types of parental migration may influence the social anxiety of LBC,double-parent migration was associated higher social anxiety than father migration(p<0.001).Future research should focus on treatments to decrease social anxiety of left-behind children.These findings suggest that due to the long-term absence of parental migration,LBC are more vulnerable to negative emotional experiences and behaviours such as anxiety,distress,and avoidance during social interaction,especially for those with both parents absent from the home.Future research should focus on treatments to reduce social anxiety in LBC. 展开更多

On microbial community of Pyropia haitanensis by metagenomic analysis

Microorganisms plays an important role in the growth of Pyropia haitanensis.To understand the structural and functional diversity of the microorganism community of P.haitanensis(PH40),the associated metabolic pathway network in cluster of orthologous groups(COG)and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG),and carbohydrate-active enzymes(CAZymes)were explored in metagenomic analysis.DNA extraction from gametophytes of P.haitanensis was performed first,followed by library construction,sequencing,preprocessing of sequencing data,taxonomy assignment,gene prediction,and functional annotation.The results show that the predominant microorganisms of P.haitanensis were bacteria(98.98%),and the phylum with the highest abundance was Proteobacteria(54.64%),followed by Bacteroidetes(37.92%).Erythrobacter(3.98%)and Hyunsoonleella jejuensis(1.56%)were the genera and species with the highest abundance of bacteria,respectively.The COG annotation demonstrated that genes associated with microbial metabolism was the predominant category.The results of metabolic pathway annotation show that the ABC transport system and two-component system were the main pathways in the microbial community.Plant growth hormone biosynthesis pathway and multi-vitamin biosynthesis functional units(modules)were the other important pathways.The CAZyme annotation revealed that the starch might be an important carbon source for microorganisms.Glycosyl transferase family 2(GT2)and glycosyl transferase family 3(GT3)were the highly abundant families in glucoside transferase superfamily.Six metagenome-assembled genomes containing enzymes involved in the biosynthesis of cobalamin(vitamin B 12)and indole-3-acetic acid were obtained by binning method.They were confirmed to belong to Rhodobacterales and Rhizobiales,respectively.Our findings provide comprehensive insights into the microorganism community of Pyropia. 展开更多

Macroalgae that inhabit intertidal zones are exposed to the air for several hours during low tide and must endure desiccation and high variations in temperature, light intensity, and salinity. Pyropia yezoensis (Rhodophyta, Bangiales), a typical intertidal red macroalga that is commercially cultivated in the northwestern Pacific Ocean, was investigated under different dehydration stresses of desiccation, high salinity, and high mannitol concentration. Using chlorophyll fluorescence imaging, photosynthetic activities of P. yezoensis thalli were analyzed using six parameters derived from quenching curves and rapid light curves. A distinct discrepancy was revealed in photosynthetic responses to different dehydration stresses. Dehydration caused by exposure to air resulted in rapid decreases in photosynthetic activities, which were always lower than two other stresses at the same water loss (WL) level. High salinity only reduced photosynthesis significantly at its maximum WL of 40% but maintained a relatively stable maximum quantum yield of photosystem II (PSII) (Fv/Fm). High mannitol concentration induced maximum WL of 20% for a longer time (60 min) than the other two treatments and caused no adverse influences on the six parameters at different WL except for a significant decrease in non-photochemical quenching (NPQ) at 20% WL. Illustrated by chlorophyll fluorescence images, severe spatial heterogeneities were induced by desiccation with lower values in the upper parts than the middle or basal parts of the thalli. The NPQ and rETRmax (maximum relative electron transport rate) demonstrated clear distinctions for evaluating photosynthetic responses, indicating their sensitivity and applicability. The findings of this study indicated that the natural dehydration of exposure to air results in stronger and more heterogeneous effects than those of high salinity or high mannitol concentration. 展开更多

Maize is an essential source of nutrition for humans and animals and is rich in various metabolites that determine its quality.Different maize varieties show significant differences in metabolite content.Two kinds of waxy maize parental materials,S181 and 49B,created by the Chongqing Academy of Agricultural Sciences,are widely grown in China.S181 shows higher starch and sugar contents than 49B.This study generated metabolic profiles to assess the differences between the two varieties.A total of 674 metabolites that were significantly differentially expressed between the two varieties were identified by gas chromatography and untargeted metabolomics technology.These metabolites were associated with 21 categories,including antioxidant metabolites.Moreover,6415 differentially expressed genes(DEGs)were identified by RNA-seq.Interestingly,these DEGs comprised starch and sugar synthesis pathway genes and 72 different transcription factor families.Among these,six families that were reported to play an essential role in plant antioxidant action accounted for 39.2%of the transcription factor families.Using the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)classification,the DEGs were mainly involved in amino acid biosynthesis,glycolysis/glucose metabolism,and the synthetic and metabolic pathways of antioxidant active substances.Furthermore,the correlation analysis of transcriptome and metabolomics identified five key transcription factors(ZmbHLH172,ZmNAC44,ZmNAC-like18,ZmS1FA2,ZmERF172),one ubiquitin ligase gene(ZmE25A)and one sucrose synthase gene(ZmSS1).They likely contribute to the quality traits of waxy corn through involvement in the metabolic regulatory network of antioxidant substances.Thus,our results provide new insights into maize quality-related antioxidant metabolite networks and have potential applications for waxy corn breeding. 展开更多

本研究旨在探讨在中国精神分裂症患者中应用单剂量长效利培酮注射液后的药代动力学、药效学、不良事件及其相互关系。精神分裂症患者(6名女性和7名男性)被纳入这项研究。给药后连续采血至63天,应用液质联用方法分析血浆药物浓度。通过... 本研究旨在探讨在中国精神分裂症患者中应用单剂量长效利培酮注射液后的药代动力学、药效学、不良事件及其相互关系。精神分裂症患者(6名女性和7名男性)被纳入这项研究。给药后连续采血至63天,应用液质联用方法分析血浆药物浓度。通过监测不良事件、临床实验室结果变化、12导联心电图、生命体征、体格检查和注射部位反应来评价安全性和耐受性。采用锥体外系症状评定量表(ESRS)对锥体外系症状进行评估,采用阳性与阴性症状量表(PANSS)和简明精神病量表(BPRS)评价疗效。13名入组受试者中12人完成了本试验。除催乳素水平和体重外,平均临床实验室检验值、生命体征和心电图参数几乎未发生有临床意义的变化。无严重不良事件发生,所观察到的不良事件均是可逆的。观察到PANSS和PANSS衍生的BPRS总分均有显著改善。药代动力学参数的均值(标准差,变异系数)为:C_(max),8.954(8.059,90.0%)ng/mL;AUC_(0-t),2453(1156,47.1%)ng·h/mL;AUC_(0-∞),2472(1160,46.9%)ng·h/mL;t_(max),830.0(min:744.0,max:984.0,11.8%)h;t_(1/2),68.56(10.77,15.7%)h。长效利培酮的药代动力学特征在个体间存在较高的变异,而本研究中精神分裂症患者药代动力学、疗效、不良事件之间无明显相关性。 展开更多

Grain size is an important yield-related trait in rice. Intensive artificial selection for grain size during domestication is evidenced by the larger grains of most of today's cultivars compared with their wild relatives. However, the molecular genetic control of rice grain size is still not well characterized. Here, we report the identification and cloning of Grain Size 6 (GS6), which plays an important role in reducing grain size in rice. A premature stop at the +348 position in the coding sequence (CDS) of GS6 increased grain width and weight significantly. Alignment of the CDS regions of GS6 in 90 rice materials revealed three GS6 alleles. Most japonica varieties (95%) harbor the Type I haplotype, and 62.9% of indica varieties harbor the Type II haplotype. Association analysis revealed that the Type I haplotype tends to increase the width and weight of grains more than either of the Type II or Type III haplotypes. Further investigation of genetic diversity and the evolutionary mechanisms of GS6 showed that the GS6 gene was strongly selected in japonica cultivars. In addition, a "ggc" repeat region identified in the region that encodes the GRAS domain of GS6 played an important historic role in the domestication of grain size in rice. Knowledge of the function of GS6 might aid efforts to elucidate the molecular mechanisms that control grain development and evolution in rice plants, and could facilitate the genetic improvement of rice yield. 展开更多

耐药相关突变(Resistance-associated substitutions,RASs)是丙型肝炎病毒(Hepatitis C virus,HCV)治疗的关键因素,并与一些直接抗病毒药物(Direct acting antivirals,DAAs)为基础的治疗方案的治疗结果相关。在本研究中,我们主要分析了... 耐药相关突变(Resistance-associated substitutions,RASs)是丙型肝炎病毒(Hepatitis C virus,HCV)治疗的关键因素,并与一些直接抗病毒药物(Direct acting antivirals,DAAs)为基础的治疗方案的治疗结果相关。在本研究中,我们主要分析了三个Ⅰb期临床试验(磷酸依米他韦、KW-136和福比他韦)中,基线Y93H或Y93Y/H耐药突变对NS5A抑制剂单药给药后短期疗效的影响,并且分析了基线RASs、给药后出现的RASs的发生率。共94例HCV基因型(Genotype,GT)1b(n=63)和HCV GT-2a(n=31)的中国初治慢性丙型肝炎(Chronic hepatitis c,CHC)患者被纳入三个Ⅰb期临床试验。本研究中使用Sanger测序法(Sanger sequencing)和二代测序法(Next generation sequencing,NGS)检测了77例患者的耐药突变情况。磷酸依米他韦7天给药试验中,在30和200 mg剂量组中,存在基线期Y93H或Y93Y/H突变的患者,平均最大HCV RNA下降值低于无该突变的患者,分别为0.83 vs.2.45 log10 IU/mL和1.92 vs.2.63 log10 IU/mL。在KW-1363天给药试验中,在30、60和120 mg剂量组中,存在基线期Y93H或Y93Y/H突变的患者,平均最大HCV RNA下降值低于无该突变的患者,分别为1.58 vs.2.89 log10 IU/mL、3.16 vs.4.09 log10 IU/mL和3.00 vs.5.04 log10 IU/mL。在福比他韦3天单药给药试验中,只有30 mg剂量组存在基线期Y93H或Y93Y/H突变,其中存在基线期Y93H或Y93Y/H突变的患者,平均最大HCV RNA下降值低于无该突变的患者,为1.45 vs.3.59 log10 IU/mL。三个试验中,共54例(70.1%;54/77)患者被检测到了基线期RASs。最普遍的基线RASs是Y93H和Y93Y/H,为18.2%(14/77),其次为L31M(16.9%;13/77)。DAA单药给药后最普遍出现的RASs是Y93H和Y93Y/H。我们的数据可为以后的临床治疗及临床试验提供参考。 展开更多
