Garnet-type Li_7La_(3)Zr_(2)O_(12)(LLZO) has high ionic conductivity and good compatibility with lithium metal.High-temperature processing has been proven an effective method to decrease the interface resistance of ca...Garnet-type Li_7La_(3)Zr_(2)O_(12)(LLZO) has high ionic conductivity and good compatibility with lithium metal.High-temperature processing has been proven an effective method to decrease the interface resistance of cathodeILLZO.However,its application is still hindered by the interlayer co-diffusion with the cathode and high sintering temperature(>1200℃).In this work,a new garnet-type composite solid-state electrolyte(SSE) Li_(6.54)La_(2.96)Ba_(0.04)Zr_(1.5)Nb_(0.5)O_(12)-LiCoO_(2)(LLBZNO-LCO) is firstly proposed to improve the chemical stability and electrochemical properties of garnet with high-temperature processing.Small doses of LCO(3%) can significantly decrease the LCOISSE interface resistance from 121.2 to 10.1 Ω cm~2,while the sintering temperature of garnet-type LLBZNO decreases from 1230 to 1000℃.The all-solid-state battery based on the sintered LLBZNO-LCO SSE exhibits excellent cycling stability.Our approach achieves an enhanced LCOISSE interface and an improved sintering activity of garnet SSE,which provides a new strategy for optimizing the comprehensive performance of garnet SSE.展开更多
We recently demonstrated that leukocyte Ig-like receptor 4(LILRB4)expressed by monocytic acute myeloid leukemia(AML)cells mediates T-cell inhibition and leukemia cell infiltration via its intracellular domain.The cyto...We recently demonstrated that leukocyte Ig-like receptor 4(LILRB4)expressed by monocytic acute myeloid leukemia(AML)cells mediates T-cell inhibition and leukemia cell infiltration via its intracellular domain.The cytoplasmic domain of LILRB4 contains three immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motifs(ITIMs);the tyrosines at positions 360,412,and 442 are phosphorylation sites.Here,we analyzed how the ITIMs of LILRB4 in AML cells mediate its function.Our in vitro and in vivo data show that Y412 and Y442,but not Y360,of LILRB4 are required for T-cell inhibition,and all three ITIMs are needed for leukemia cell infiltration.We constructed chimeric proteins containing the extracellular domain of LILRB4 and the intracellular domain of LILRB1 and vice versa.The intracellular domain of LILRB4,but not that of LILRB1,mediates T-cell suppression and AML cell migration.Our studies thus defined the unique signaling roles of LILRB4 ITIMs in AML cells.展开更多
Impregnation rate of thermoplastic resin(polypropylene)in jute fiber mat and influence of relative factors on impregnation were studied,aiming to develop the continuous melt impregnation technique and to investigate t...Impregnation rate of thermoplastic resin(polypropylene)in jute fiber mat and influence of relative factors on impregnation were studied,aiming to develop the continuous melt impregnation technique and to investigate the effect of impregnation rate and temperature on processing conditions and mechanical properties of natural fiber mat-reinforced thermoplastics.Influence of pressure on porosity of fiber mat and effect of melt viscosity on impregnation rate were also investigated.The modified capillary rheometer was used as apparatus and experimental data were analyzed based on the one-dimension Darcy’s law.Results showed that at a given pressure,the impregnation rate is inversely proportional to melt viscosity and jute fiber mat has higher porosity than glass fiber mat.The architecture,compressibility,permeability and fiber diameter of jute fiber mat were compared with those of glass fiber mat and their effects on impregnation were discussed further.It could be seen that the average diameter of jute fiber is much bigger;the porosity of jute fiber mat is significantly higher and inner bundle impregnation does not exist in jute fiber mat.Therefore,it is not difficult to understand why the impregnation rate in jute fiber mat is 3.5 times higher and permeability is 14 times greater.Kozeny constants of jute and glass fiber mats calculated based on the capillary model are 2950 and 442,respectively.展开更多

Volunteered geographic information(VGI)can be considered a subset of crowdsourced data(CSD)and its popularity has recently increased in a number of application areas.Disaster management is one of its key application a...Volunteered geographic information(VGI)can be considered a subset of crowdsourced data(CSD)and its popularity has recently increased in a number of application areas.Disaster management is one of its key application areas in which the benefits of VGI and CSD are potentially very high.However,quality issues such as credibility,reliability and relevance are limiting many of the advantages of utilising CSD.Credibility issues arise as CSD come from a variety of heterogeneous sources including both professionals and untrained citizens.VGI and CSD are also highly unstructured and the quality and metadata are often undocumented.In the 2011 Australian floods,the general public and disaster management administrators used the Ushahidi Crowd-mapping platform to extensively communicate flood-related information including hazards,evacuations,emergency services,road closures and property damage.This study assessed the credibility of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s Ushahidi CrowdMap dataset using a Naïve Bayesian network approach based on models commonly used in spam email detection systems.The results of the study reveal that the spam email detection approach is potentially useful for CSD credibility detection with an accuracy of over 90%using a forced classification methodology.展开更多
