Background:Chronic ankle instability(CAI) is a common sequela following an acute lateral ankle sprain(LAS).To treat an acture LAS more effectively and efficiently,it is important to identify patients at substantial risk for developing CAI.This study identifies magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) manifestations for predicting CAI development after a first episode of LAS and explores appropriate clinical indications for ordering MRI scans for these patients.Methods:All patients with a first-episode LAS who received plain radiograph and MRI scanning within the first 2 weeks after LAS from December 1,2017 to December 1,2019 were identified.Data were collected using the Cumberland Ankle Instability Tool at final follow-up.Demographic and other related clinical variables,including age,sex,body mass index,and treatment were also recorded.Univariable and multivariable analyses were performed successively to identify risk factors for CAI after first-episode LAS.Results:A total 131 out of 362 patients with a mean follow-up of 3.0± 0.6 years(mean ± SD;2.0—4.1 years) developed CAI after first-episode LAS.According to multivariable regression,development of CAI after first-episode LAS was associated with 5 prognostic factors:age(odds ratio(OR)=0.96,95% confidence interval(95%CI):0.93-1.00,p=0.032);body mass index(OR=1.09,95%CI:1.02-1.17,p=0.009);posterior talofibular ligament injury(OR=2.17,95%CI:1.05-4.48,p=0.035);large bone marrow lesion of the talus(OR=2.69,95%CI:1.30-5.58,p=0.008),and Grade 2 effusion of the tibiotalar joint(OR=2.61,95%CI:1.39-4.89,p=0.003).When patients had at least 1 positive clinical finding in the 10-m walk test,anterior drawer test,or inversion tilt test,they had a 90.2% sensitivity and 77.4% specificity in terms of detecting at least 1 prognostic factor by MRI.Conclusion:MRI scanning is valuable in predicting CAI after first-episode LAS for those patients with at least 1 positive clinical finding in the10-m walk test,anterior drawer test,and inversion tilt test.Further prospective and large-scale studies are necessary for validation. 展开更多

Lepton scattering is an established ideal tool for studying inner structure of small particles such as nucleons as well as nuclei.As a future high energy nuclear physics project,an Electron-ion collider in China(EicC)... Lepton scattering is an established ideal tool for studying inner structure of small particles such as nucleons as well as nuclei.As a future high energy nuclear physics project,an Electron-ion collider in China(EicC)has been proposed.It will be constructed based on an upgraded heavy-ion accelerator,High Intensity heavy-ion Accelerator Facility(HIAF)which is currently under construction,together with a new electron ring.The proposed collider will provide highly polarized electrons(with a po-larization of 80%)and protons(with a polarization of 70%)with variable center of mass energies from 15 to 20 GeV and the luminosity of(2–3)×1033 cm^(−2)·s^(−1).Polarized deuterons and Helium-3,as well as unpolarized ion beams from Carbon to Uranium,will be also available at the EicC.The main foci of the EicC will be precision measurements of the structure of the nucleon in the sea quark region,including 3D tomography of nucleon;the partonic structure of nuclei and the parton interaction with the nuclear environment;the exotic states,especially those with heavy flavor quark contents.In addition,issues fundamental to understanding the origin of mass could be addressed by measurements of heavy quarkonia near-threshold production at the EicC.In order to achieve the above-mentioned physics goals,a hermetical detector system will be constructed with cutting-edge technologies.This document is the result of collective contributions and valuable inputs from experts across the globe.The EicC physics program complements the ongoing scientific programs at the Jefferson Laboratory and the future EIC project in the United States.The success of this project will also advance both nuclear and particle physics as well as accelerator and detector technology in China. 展开更多

The CDEX-10 experiment searches for light weakly interacting massive particles, a form of dark matter, at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory, where approximately 10 kg of germanium detectors are arranged in an array and immersed in liquid nitrogen. Herein, we report on the experimental apparatus, detector characterization, and spectrum analysis of one prototype detector. Owing to the higher rise-time resolution of the CDEX-10 prototype detector as compared with CDEX-1 B, we identified the origin of an observed category of extremely fast events. For data analysis of the CDEX-10 prototype detector, we introduced and applied an improved bulk/surface event discrimination method. The results of the new method were compared to those of the CDEX-1 B spectrum. Both sets of results showed good consistency in the 0-12 ke Vee energy range, except for the 8.0 keV K-shell X-ray peak from the external copper. 展开更多

目的:探讨立体定向经额及枕下入路治疗脑干出血的血肿排空效果。方法:选取东莞市人民医院神经外科自2019年9月至2022年6月行手术治疗的24例脑干出血患者,根据术式分为经额组(15例)和枕下组(9例)。记录并比较2组患者术中碎吸血肿量、术... 目的:探讨立体定向经额及枕下入路治疗脑干出血的血肿排空效果。方法:选取东莞市人民医院神经外科自2019年9月至2022年6月行手术治疗的24例脑干出血患者,根据术式分为经额组(15例)和枕下组(9例)。记录并比较2组患者术中碎吸血肿量、术后血肿残留量、引流后血肿残留量、术中穿刺脑组织深度、术后血肿腔尿激酶冲洗次数、引流管留置时间等指标。结果:经额组术中碎吸血肿量较枕下组少,穿刺脑组织深度明显深于枕下组,差异均有统计学意义(P<0.05);2组患者术后血肿残留量、引流后血肿残留量、术后尿激酶冲洗次数、引流管留置时间比较,差异无统计学意义(P>0.05)。结论:经额入路虽然术中较难碎吸血肿,但置管引流后最终引流效果与经枕下入路基本相同。血肿位置位于脑桥、中脑水平以上者适合选用经额入路,血肿位置位于脑桥后部及破入第四脑室、小脑者适合选用经枕下入路。 展开更多

电化学硝酸根还原制氨(NRA)可以同时实现硝酸盐废水处理和氨合成,是一种很有前途的环保节能策略.目前构建高效的电催化剂是人们关注的焦点.本文构建了TiO_(2)@C/Fe_(2)O_(3)纳米片阵列作为高效催化剂,采用多种表征手段系统研究了水热碳... 电化学硝酸根还原制氨(NRA)可以同时实现硝酸盐废水处理和氨合成,是一种很有前途的环保节能策略.目前构建高效的电催化剂是人们关注的焦点.本文构建了TiO_(2)@C/Fe_(2)O_(3)纳米片阵列作为高效催化剂,采用多种表征手段系统研究了水热碳的引入对NRA性能的影响.我们发现水热碳既可作为良导体实现电荷的快速传递,又可作为还原剂引入更多的氧空位,实现了“一石二鸟”催化剂构建策略.与TiO_(2)/Fe_(2)O_(3)相比,TiO_(2)@C/Fe_(2)O_(3)具有更高的NRA性能,硝酸盐转化率为88.6%、氨选择性为83.4%、法拉第效率为85.3%、氨收率为0.2176 mmol h^(-1)cm^(-2).此外,在9次循环实验后,TiO_(2)@C/Fe_(2)O_(3)的高活性仍得以保持,证实了TiO_(2)@C/Fe_(2)O_(3)出色的稳定性.此外,我们利用电化学准原位电子自旋共振实验、电化学原位衰减全反射傅立叶变换红外测量和在线差分电化学质谱法推导了可能的NRA反应途径.这种引入水热碳中间层的策略可为开发新型NRA电催化剂开辟新的途径. 展开更多

In some cases, illumination of traditional thermal catalysts and tailored plasmonic photocatalysts may synergistically combine thermal and nonthermal mechanisms to enhance reaction rates and improve product selectivity at reduced temperatures. To understand how these attributes are achieved in plasmon-driven catalysis, these intertwined thermal and nonthermal effects must be untangled. Here, we show how a novel indirect illumination technique, in conjunction with precisely monitored thermal profiles of the catalyst, can confirm and clarify the role of nonthermal effects in plasmon-enhanced carbon dioxide methanation on a Rh/TiO2 photocatalyst. We find that the extracted nonthermal methane production rate has a linear dependence on the top surface temperature, distinctly different from an exponential dependence for thermal catalysis. We also find that the apparent quantum efficiency from the nonthermal contribution has no dependence on light intensity but maintains a linear dependence on top surface temperatures between 200 and 350℃. The clear exposition of nonthermal effects in the Rh/TiO2 plasmonic photocatalyst illustrates how this methodology may be applied for the quantitative evaluation of thermal and nonthermal light effects in other plasmon-enhanced catalytic reactions. 展开更多

We report the first results on ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay from stage one of the China dark-matter experiment(CDEX).A p-type point-contact high-purity germanium detector with a mass of 994 g has been installed to detect neutrinoless double beta decay events, as well as to directly detect dark matter particles. An exposure of 304 kg d has been analyzed over a wide spectral band from 500 keV to 3 MeV. The average event rate obtained was about 0.012 counts per keV per kg per day over the 2.039 MeV energy range. The half-life of ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay derived based on this result is T^(0ν)1/2>6.4×10^(22) yr(90% C.L.). An upper limit on the effective Majorana-neutrino mass of 5.0 eV has been achieved. 展开更多

Plasmonic photocatalysis represents the synergetic union of two active fields of research:plasmonic effects in illuminated metallic nanoparticles and catalytic effects in tailored metallic nanoparticles.Traditionally,metallic nanoparticles that excel for one application are limited for the other,but recent developments have shown that desirable catalytic behaviors,such as reduced activation barriers and improved product selectivity,derive from nonthermal behaviors uniquely produced by this synergy.After examining such findings,this review will address a specific debate that has recently surfaced:what is the relative degree of contributions of thermal and nonthermal effects in plasmonic photocatalysis?We demonstrate the importance of correctly accounting for thermal effects before characterizing nonthermal contributions.We show that another synergy occurs:these desirable nonthermal behaviors have a temperature dependence,and the resulting temperature-dependent reaction rates far exceed what can be explained from purely thermal effects alone.Thus,the synergy of plasmonic photocatalysis offers an exciting new contribution to the quest for efficient,selective,sustainable methods for chemical synthesis and energy conversion. 展开更多
