Plant phenotypes are infl uenced by genetic and environmental factors.In this study,the growth traits of 43 one-year-old poplar clones grown at diff erent sites in northeast China(Dongling State-owned Forest Protection Center,DL;Baicheng State-owned forest farm,BC;and Cuohai Forest farm,CH)were evaluated and analyzed across clones and sites.Results show signifi cant diff erences in height and base diameter among sites and clones.Phenotypic and genetic variation coeffi cients ranged from 49.59%(BC)to 58.39%(DL)and from 49.33%(BC)to 58.06%(DL),respectively.Additive main eff ects and multiplicative interaction(AMMI)analysis showed that the eff ects of genotype,environment,and genotype×environment interaction were signifi cantly diff erent.Genetic variation was the main source of variation,accounting for 48.6%.AMMI biplot showed that clone 30 had high and stable yields at the three sites.From an evaluation of multiple traits and GGE biplot that clone 2,clone 30 and clone 25 had higher yield than the other clones at DL,CH and BC,respectively.These clones will provide material for forest regeneration in northeast China. 展开更多

Objective To assess the feasibility of internal suspension technique in retroperitoneal robot-assisted laparoscopic partial nephrectomy(rRAPN)with a new robotic platform called KangDuo Surgical Robot-01(KD-SR-01)system(Suzhou KangDuo Robot Co.,Ltd.,Suzhou,China)and discuss its surgical technique.Methods A 44-year-old male patient was admitted with a 2.5 cm tumor on dorsolateral upper pole of the left kidney.The R.E.N.A.L.nephrometry score of this patient was 4x.This patient underwent rRAPN with KD-SR-01.The perinephric fat between the tumor and Gerota's fascia was preserved,which was used for internal suspension traction during tumor resection.Postoperative follow-up data were collected.Results The surgery was successfully carried out with a duration of 127 min,in which the docking time was 6 min 25 s and console time was 60 min.The warm ischemia time was 19 min 53 s,and the estimated blood loss was 0 mL.The pathological histology showed a pathological tumor stage 1a clear cell renal cell carcinoma,with a negative surgical margin.The World Health Organization/International Society of Urological Pathology(WHO/ISUP)grade of this patient was Grade 2.No recurrence was observed during the 6-month follow-up.Conclusion Internal suspension in rRAPN is feasible and effective with use of the new robotic system KD-SR-01. 展开更多

The flexed frustules in pennate diatoms are usually associated with monoraphid diatoms. Interestingly, we found a biraphid diatom species with flexed frustules in an offshore intertidal beach environment on Weizhou Island,Beihai City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. Therefore, based on morphological characteristics, we described a new genus of diatoms Yuzaoea sinensis gen. et sp. nov. CH Li, HH Liu, YH Gao & CP Chen. The frustule of this genus is characterized by heterogeneous frustule with one concave valve and one convex valve,complete raphe on both valves, straight and moderately eccentric raphe, uniseriate striae and girdle bands with a single row of areolae. The most identifying feature of this genus was the flexed frustule, which is rare in biraphid diatoms and common in monoraphid diatoms. We compared the morphometric characteristics of genus Yuzaoea with genus Rhoikoneis and several genera within the family Rhoicospheniaceae, including Rhoicosphenia,Campylopyxis, and Cuneolus. Phylogenetic analyses based on SSU rRNA and rbc L showed that the genus Yuzaoea was the sister group to the clade of Rhoicosphenia with a high support value(bootstrap values = 100%), and the clade “Yuzaoea+Rhoicosphenia” was sister to the clade of monoraphid diatoms, in which the genera Achnanthidium, Planothidium and some Cocconeis with high support values(bootstrap = 100%).Morphologically, the genus Yuzaoea shares many morphological features with monoraphid diatoms like genera Achnanthidium and Planothidium and the members within the Rhoicospheniaceae. Therefore, based on a combined morphological studies and phylogenetic results we suggested that this branch may represented the evolution of one kind monoraphid diatoms, from biraphid diatoms(e.g. genus Yuzaoea), to incompleted biraphid diatoms(e.g. genera Rhoicosphenia, Campylopyxis), to monoraphid diatoms(e.g. genera Achnanthidium and Planothidium). 展开更多

Objective:To evaluate the diagnostic value of fluorescence in situ hybridization(FISH)in bladder cancer.Methods:We enrolled healthy volunteers and patients who were clinically suspected to have bladder cancer and conducted FISH tests and cytology examinations from August 2007 to December 2008.Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve analysis was performed and the area under curve(AUC)values were calculated for both the FISH and urine cytology tests.Results:A cohort of 988 healthy volunteers was enrolled to establish a reference range for the normal population.A total of 4807 patients with hematuria were prospectively,randomly enrolled for the simultaneous analysis of urine cytology,FISH testing,and a final diagnosis as determined by the pathologic findings of a biopsy or a surgically-excised specimen.Overall,the sensitivity of FISH in detecting transitional-cell carcinoma was 82.7%,while that of cytology was 33.4%(p<0.001).The sensitivity values of FISH for non-muscle invasive and muscle invasive bladder transitional-cell carcinoma were 81.7%and 89.6%,respectively(p=0.004).The sensitivity values of FISH for low and high grade bladder cancer were 82.6%and 90.1%,respectively(p=0.002).Conclusion:FISH is significantly more sensitive than voided urine cytology for detecting bladder cancer in patients evaluated for gross hematuria at all cancer grades and stages.Higher sensitivity using FISH was obtained in high grade and muscle invasive tumors. 展开更多

The common defects of the Roe scheme are the non-physical expansion shock and shock instability. By removing the momentum interpolation mechanism(MIM), an improved method with several advantages has been presented to suppress the shock instability. However, it cannot prevent the expansion shock and is incompatible with the traditional curing method for expansion shock. To solve the problem, the traditional curing mechanism is analyzed. Effectiveness of the traditional curing method is discussed,and several defects are identified, one of which leads to incompatibility between curing shock instability and expansion shock. Consequently, an improved Roe scheme is proposed, which is with low computational costs, concise, easy to implement, and robust.More importantly, the proposed scheme can simultaneously solve the problem of shock instability and expansion shock without additional costs. 展开更多

Can environmental regulations achieve both profitability and profit quality?A natural experiment based on the China Cleaner Production Standards

Numerous studies evaluated the effects of end-of-pipe control environmental regulations(EER).However,few scholars discussed the effects of process management environmental regulations(PER),such as the China Cleaner Production Standards(CCPS)implemented by the country's Ministry of Ecology and Environment.Using data on China's manufacturing enterprises,this paper adopts the CCPS policies as quasi-natural experiments and uses differences-in-differences(DID)methods to analyze their effects on enterprise profitability and profit quality,respectively.The results show that:first,the CCPS significantly improve both profitability and profit quality;that is,the implementation of the environmental regulation policy plays a significant role in improving enterprise profit rates and cash flows.Second,for the profitability mediator effects,the short-term Porter effect of CCPS is not significant but shows the opposite during the lag period and significantly reduces the management cost and wage levels,comprehensively promoting enterprise profitability.Third,for the profit quality meditator effects,environmental regulations improve the enterprises'cash flow by reducing management costs and increasing government subsidies;however,its effect on bank credit subsidies is not significant.Fourth,for the moderator effects,the environmental regulations'effect on enterprises profitability and profit quality depends on the strategic interaction among local governments,the scale and ownership of the enterprise,and regional differences.That is,the strategic interaction weakens the effect of environmental regulations on enterprise performance.Environmental regulations have a stronger influence on profitability and profit quality for large-scale,state-owned,and coastal enterprises. 展开更多

The premise and basis of load modeling are substation load composition inquiries and cluster analyses.However,the traditional kernel fuzzy C-means(KFCM)algorithm is limited by artificial clustering number selection and its convergence to local optimal solutions.To overcome these limitations,an improved KFCM algorithm with adaptive optimal clustering number selection is proposed in this paper.This algorithm optimizes the KFCM algorithm by combining the powerful global search ability of genetic algorithm and the robust local search ability of simulated annealing algorithm.The improved KFCM algorithm adaptively determines the ideal number of clusters using the clustering evaluation index ratio.Compared with the traditional KFCM algorithm,the enhanced KFCM algorithm has robust clustering and comprehensive abilities,enabling the efficient convergence to the global optimal solution. 展开更多

However, the size the hexagonal boron nitride films are limited to the size of growth chamber, which indicates a lower production efficiency. In this paper, the utilization efficiency of growth chamber is highly improved by alternately stacking multiple pieces of Cu foils and carbon fiber surface felt with porous structure. Uniform and continuous hexagonal boron nitride films are prepared on Cu foils through chemical vapor deposition utilizing ammonia borane as the precursor. This work develops a simple and practicable method for high-throughput preparation of hexagonal boron nitride films, which could contribute to the industrial application of hexagonal boron nitride. . 展开更多

Comprehensive treatment of von Hippel-Lindau disease:A case report

von Hippel-Lindau(VHL)disease is a rare autosomal dominant multiorgan disease characterized by several benign and malignant tumors rich in vascular,as well as cysts in other organs.A great clinical treatment strategy ... von Hippel-Lindau(VHL)disease is a rare autosomal dominant multiorgan disease characterized by several benign and malignant tumors rich in vascular,as well as cysts in other organs.A great clinical treatment strategy is significantly warranted for good prognosis of patients with VHL disease.Herein,we reported a case of a 45-year-old woman diagnosed with VHL disease with spinal hemangioblastoma(HB)and clear cell renal cell carcinoma(ccRCC).Four years after the resection of the right kidney,a recurrent RCC in the right kidney and a malignant lesion in the left kidney were observed.This patient was started on sorafenib(800 mg,daily)and tislelizumab(200 mg per 3 weeks).After 6 months of treatment,the size of renal cell carcinoma was dramatically reduced and renal function improved.More importantly,she achieved partial response during the whole treatment.Microscopically,intramedullary masses resection was done and the HB in T4-5 thoracic spinal was removed.Neurologic symptoms such as numbness and pain were remarkably alleviated.Additionally,tislelizumab-induced elevation in liver transaminase levels and hypothyroidism were revered by hepatoprotector and levothyroxine,respectively.In short,comprehensive treatment strategies may benefit patients with VHL disease,especially with HB and ccRCC. 展开更多

目的:探讨扩大的血管周围间隙(enlarged perivascular spaces,EPVS)在糖尿病前期伴认知障碍组、2型糖尿病伴认知障碍组和血糖且认知正常组的出现率。分析探讨糖尿病代谢异常伴MoCA异常与EPVS是否存在相关性、不同EPVS类型患者MoCA的各... 目的:探讨扩大的血管周围间隙(enlarged perivascular spaces,EPVS)在糖尿病前期伴认知障碍组、2型糖尿病伴认知障碍组和血糖且认知正常组的出现率。分析探讨糖尿病代谢异常伴MoCA异常与EPVS是否存在相关性、不同EPVS类型患者MoCA的各认知领域分布情况、糖代谢障碍患者MoCA异常的相关危险因素。方法:筛选惠州市第三人民医院神经内科2019年1月至2022年3月符合条件的住院患者151例。依据其头部MRI扫描结果,血糖等生化指标以及MoCA量表结果分组。运用SPSS 26.0统计学软件对收集的病例数据进行分析。结果:2型糖尿病伴认知障碍患者组中EPVS的发生率84.0%,高于糖尿病前期伴认知障碍组的EPVS出现率53.85%,显著高于血糖正常不伴认知障碍组的EPVS出现率30.8%。伴有EPVS的糖尿病前期伴认知障碍组与正常对照组比较,在视空间、执行功能、命名、语言、抽象、延迟回忆、定向等均呈现显著差异,但是注意这一认知领域无统计学意义。糖尿病前期伴认知障碍患者不同类型EPVS(Ⅰ型、Ⅱ型、Ⅲ型、混合型)与无EPVS患者组的两两比较均无明显差异。观察组的整体年龄以及糖化血红蛋白含量要高于异常对照组且显著高于正常对照组。结论:EPVS的出现与糖代谢异常伴认知障碍有关。糖尿病前期伴EPVS发生患者的认知障碍主要体现在视空间与执行功能、命名、语言、抽象、延迟回忆和定向的认知领域,而注意这一认知领域相对保留。EPVS的存在与糖代谢异常共同作用,影响人的不同认知领域。糖尿病前期伴认知障碍患者不同类型EPVS与认知不同领域无相关。EPVS相关糖尿病前期伴认知障碍多发于高龄人群,且与患者近期的血糖水平即糖化血红蛋白(HbAlc)有关。 展开更多

The movement of pedestrians involves temporal continuity,spatial interactivity,and random diversity.As a result,pedestrian trajectory prediction is rather challenging.Most existing trajectory prediction methods tend to focus on just one aspect of these challenges,ignoring the temporal information of the trajectory and making too many assumptions.In this paper,we propose a recurrent attention and interaction(RAI)model to predict pedestrian trajectories.The RAI model consists of a temporal attention module,spatial pooling module,and randomness modeling module.The temporal attention module is proposed to assign different weights to the input sequence of a target,and reduce the speed deviation of different pedestrians.The spatial pooling module is proposed to model not only the social information of neighbors in historical frames,but also the intention of neighbors in the current time.The randomness modeling module is proposed to model the uncertainty and diversity of trajectories by introducing random noise.We conduct extensive experiments on several public datasets.The results demonstrate that our method outperforms many that are state-ofthe-art. 展开更多

BACKGROUND: In the process of early screening and interventions to high risk infants with brain damage, the occasion and choosing methods of interventions and the combined application of different interventions are still at the exploratory phase. OBJECTIVE: To observe the efficacy of early intervention using Vojta and Bobath combined treatment in high risk infants with brain damage, and investigate the effect of early rehabilitation on the prognosis. DESIGN: A randomized controlled comparative observation. SETTING: Daqing Oil Field General Hospital of Heilongjiang Province. PARTICIPANTS: Eighty-four high risk infants younger than 1 year were selected from the Department of Pediatrics, Daqing Oil Field General Hospital of Heilongjiang Province from October 2005 to October 2006, including 52 boys (62%) and 32 girls (38%). The treatment started at the age of 0–3 months in 11 cases (13%), 4–6 months in 28 cases (33%), 7–9 months in 35 cases (42%), and 10–12 months in 10 cases (12%). Infants with at least two of the followings were enrolled, including 7 Vojta abnormal postural reflexes, slow or disorder of motor development, increase of muscular tension, postural abnormality, primary reflection residual and CT/MRI abnormalities. Informed consents were obtained from their guardians. The 84 infants were randomly divided into treatment group (n =42) and control group (n =42). METHODS: All the children were intravenously injected with cerebroprotein hydrolysate injection or cattle encephalon glycoside and ignotin injection, 10 times as a course for 2–5 courses; Besides, the infants in the treatment group also received early rehabilitative training of Vojta and Bobath combined treatment, once a day, 40 minutes per time, 5 times a week followed by a 2-day rest, 1 month as a course, and totally 2–5 courses. The Vojta method was to facilitate the automatic regulation by reflexlocomotion. Bobath method was to inhibit abnormal posture but facilitate the normal one, thus it is also called neurodevelopmental therapy realized by reflex inhibition and facilitation. The rehabilitation was evaluated clinically using Gesell Development Schedules (GDS) after the courses when the infants were 1 year old. GDS included five aspects of adaptive behavior, gross motor, refine motor, speech, individual-social behavior. The developmental quotient (DQ) could be calculated according to their development. DQ=developmental age/actual age×100, < 85 points was taken as abnormal; The higher the DQ value, the better the development. ② Evaluation of efficacy: Cured: Developmental order reached normal or generally normal, abnormal posture disappeared, muscular tension ameliorated, symmetric limbs' motor function, free movement, normal intelligence, powerful reaction, and clear speech. Significant effect: Developmental order tended to normal, abnormal posture disappeared incompletely, muscular tension ameliorated incompletely, transient pause in the flexion and extension of limbs, good reaction, and improved intelligence. Effective: Developmental order improved to a certain degree, muscular tension ameliorated, limbs' motor function and posture improved as compared with before treatment, but still under control, intelligence improved a little. Invalid: No obvious changes before and after treatment. Total significant effective rate=(cured cases+cases of significant effect)/total cases ×100%. ③ The enumeration data and measurement data were compared with chi-square test and t test respectively. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Clinical efficacy and GDS results at 1 year old in both groups. RESUTLS: All the 84 infants were involved in the analysis of results. ① Efficacy: The total significant effective rate in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group (93%, 74%, χ2=4.2, P < 0.05). ② Results of GDS evaluation: The DQ values of individual intercourse and social adaptation in the treatment group (93.57±11.23, 95.13±9.32) were higher than those in the control group (88.27±10.18, 90.10±10.67, t =2.267, 2.301, P < 0.05); The DQ values of gross motor, fine motor and speech in the treatment group (90.78±10.20, 98.63±9.23, 93.69±11.31) were higher than those in the control group(84.32±11.33, 87.80±8.61, 85.52±10.61, t =2.746, 5.560, 2.746, P < 0.01). The interventional effects on each functional area were significant, especially the gross motor, fine motor and speech. CONCLUSION: The Vojta and Bobath combined treatment on the basis of drug therapy can improve the general developments of abilities in motor, intelligence, social intercourse, social adaptation and speech of high risk infants with brain damage, also can improve the curative efficacy. 展开更多

The coastal ecosystems are highly sensitive to climate change and are usually influenced by variations in phytoplankton communities and water physiochemical factors.In the present study,the phytoplankton community,chlorophyll a(Chl a)and their relationships with environmental variables and dimethylsulfide(DMS)and dimethylsulfoniopropionate(DMSP)were investigated in spring 2017(March 24 to April 16)in the East China Sea(26.0°-33.0°N,120.0°-128.0°E)and southern Yellow Sea(31.0°-36.0°N,120.0°-125.0°E).The spatial distributions of phytoplankton species composition and cell density were investigated by qualitative and quantitative methods and were compared with historical data to study phytoplankton species succession in the survey area.The results showed that there were 275 phytoplankton species belonging to 90 genera and 6 phyla in the survey area,of which 208 species belonged to 62 genera of Bacillariophyta and 56 species belonged to 20 genera of Pyrrophyta.The dominant phytoplankton species were Skeletonema dohrnii,Chaetoceros vanheurckii and Prorocentrum donghaiense.The phytoplankton cell densities ranged from 0.06×10^(4)cells/L to 418.73×10^(4)cells/L,with an average value of 21.46×10^(4)cells/L.In spring,the average ratio of Bacillariophyta/Pyrrophyta was41.13 for the entire study area.The areas with high phytoplankton cell density were mainly distributed in the northern South Yellow Sea and offshore waters of the East China Sea.According to a canonical correspondence analysis among phytoplankton and environmental parameters,the water Chl a concentrations were notably consistent with phytoplankton cell density(P<0.001),and both showed significant negative correlations with salinity and nitrite(P<0.05)and significant positive correlations with dissolved oxygen and pH(P<0.001).There was a significant positive correlation between diatom(both in cell density and in dominant species)and DMS(P<0.05),which indicated that diatoms play a greater role in DMS production in this investigated area. 展开更多

Inflammation-driven endothelial dysfunction is the major initiating factor in atherosclerosis,while the underlying mechanism remains elusive.Here,we report that the non-canonical stimulator of interferon genes(STING)-PKR-like ER kinase(PERK)pathway was significantly activated in both human and mice atherosclerotic arteries.Typically,STING activation leads to the activation of interferon regulatory factor 3(IRF3)and nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB)/p65,thereby facilitating IFN signals and infammation.In contrast,our study reveals the activated non-canonical STING-PERK pathway increases scaffold protein bromodomain protein 4(BRD4)expression,which encourages the formation of super-enhancers on the proximal promoter regions of the proinflammatory cytokines,thereby enabling the transactivation of these cytokines by integrating activated IRF3 and NF-κB via a condensation process.Endothelium-specific STING and BRD4 deficiency significantly decreased the plaque area and inflammation.Mechanistically,this pathway is triggered by leaked mitochondrial DNA(mtDNA)via mitochondrial permeability transition pore(mPTP),formed by voltage-dependent anion channel 1(VDAC1)oligomer interaction with oxidized mtDNA upon cholesterol oxidation stimulation.Especially,compared to macrophages,endothelial STING activation plays a more pronounced role in atherosclerosis.We propose a non-canonical STING-PERK pathway-dependent epigenetic paradigm in atherosclerosis that integrates IRF3,NF-κB and BRD4 in inflammatory responses,which provides emerging therapeutic modalities for vascular endothelial dysfunction. 展开更多

A new monotypic diatom genus Chinia gen.nov.from estuarine mangrove habitats in Fujian,China is described.Light,scanning and transmission electron microscopy observations of its morphology show that this diatom differs from any established raphid diatom genus.The new genus is distinguished by a strongly undulate valve face,eccentric raphe canal,and perforated copulae.Its distinctly elevated and perforated raphe canal,classifi ed as simonsenioid type,is supported by sparse infundibulum-like portulae,and the portulae are separated by large fenestrae.The valves of Chinia also have hymenate areolar occlusions and the raphe lacks a central nodule.However,unlike most Bacillariaceae with two plastids,including Simonsenia,Chinia has a single plastid similar to those in Entomoneis and Surirella.Despite the similarities to Simonsenia,Chinia features porous raphe canal and loose striation,which is different from those of Simonsenia that has a solid raphe canal and distinct rows of areolae.These distinctive cytological and morphological characters suggest an affinity of the new genus to the Bacillariaceae. 展开更多

Objective:Mitotic arrest-deficient protein 1(MAD1)is a kinetochore protein essential for the mitotic spindle checkpoint.Proteomic studies have indicated that MAD1 is a component of the DNA damage response(DDR)pathway.However,whether and how MAD1 might be directly involved in the DDR is largely unknown.Methods:We ectopically expressed the wild type,or a phosphorylation-site--mutated form of MAD1 in MAD1 knockdown cells to look for complementation effects.We used the comet assay,colony formation assay,immunofluorescence staining,and flow cytometry to assess the DDR,radiosensitivity,and the G2/M checkpoint.We employed co-immunoprecipitation followed by mass spectrometry to identify MAD1 interacting proteins.Data were analyzed using the unpaired Student'st-test.Results:We showed that MAD1 was required for an optimal DDR,as knocking down MAD1 resulted in impaired DNA repair and hypersensitivity to ionizing radiation(IR).We found that IR-induced serine 214 phosphorylation was ataxia-telangiectasia mutated(ATM)kinase-dependent.Mutation of serine 214 to alanine failed to rescue the phenotypes of MAD1 knockdown cells in response to IR.Using mass spectrometry,we identified a protein complex mediated by MAD1 serine 214 phosphorylation in response to IR.Among them,we showed that KU80 was a key protein that displayed enhanced interaction with MAD1 after DNA damage.Finally,we showed that MAD1 interaction with KU80 required serine 214 phosphorylation,and it was essential for activation of DNA protein kinases catalytic subunit(DNA-PKcs).Conclusions:MAD1 serine 214 phosphorylation mediated by ATM kinase in response to IR was required for the interaction with KU80 and activation of DNA-PKCs. 展开更多
