A solo concert was held to mark the 50th singing career of Cedain Zholma on December 22, 2003. The next day, she went to Hunan at the head of the Tibet Song and Dance Troupe where she sang in a concert held by Shaosha... A solo concert was held to mark the 50th singing career of Cedain Zholma on December 22, 2003. The next day, she went to Hunan at the head of the Tibet Song and Dance Troupe where she sang in a concert held by Shaoshan and Xiantan, hometown of Mao Zedong. Upon invitation of Yunnan, she went to Yunnan for solo performance. On this basis, the TAR Federation for Literaturary and Art Circles published a pictorial titled Highland Soul: Cedain Zholma and a book entitled Music of Snowland: Biography of Cedain Zholma, which were first sold in Xiantan of Hunan Province on December 26. In the 50 years, Cedain Zholma has sung many songs loved by people throughout China. The most influential ones include Emancipated Serfs Sing Songs, Singing a Mountain Song for the Party, At the Top of the Golden Hill of Beijing, Amahonglie, Toasting Song, and We Meet. Cedain Zholma has made her way into Dictionary on Noted Literary and Art Workers of China, Dictionary on Chinese Specialists and Names of Famous Chinese Singers. 展开更多

Before making a Buddha image, followers of Tantric Buddhist will hold some rituals, including reciting sutras,offering sacrifices, dispensing alms, freeing captive animals, and inviting eminent monks to pray for the workplaces, instruments and materials for making the Buddha image. Those painters who will paint image will also bathe and be purified by incense smoke, pray and perform some Buddhist activities before working on carefully selected auspicious days. With the completion of a piece of work, the ceremony of blessing will be held when sutras and incantations related to the Buddha image will be traced on the back of the work in golden silk or vermilion, and then there is a prayer for wisdom and supernatural power of the Buddha in the paint to be poured into the newly made image. 展开更多
