I nevertheless felt a fresh thrill surge through my body when I set foot upon the land of Wuyuan, a town on the northeastern tip of Jiangxi Province, nestled between Anhui and Zhejiang. As the nation revels in the digital era and all its modern gadgetry, Wuyuan brings people back to the days gone by, with its ancient trees, weather-beaten buildings, ancestral temples and its yellowing genealogical records. At that moment, I realized why the ancient town and its villages have consentaneously been hailed as the most beautiful part of rural China.展开更多
