CO_(2)capture,utilization,and storage(CCUS)technology is a rare option for the large-scale use of fossil fuels in a low-carbon way,which will definitely play a part in the journey towards carbon neutrality.Within the CCUS nexus,CCU is especially interesting because these processes will establish a new“atmosphere-to-atmosphere”carbon cycle and thus indirectly offer huge potential in carbon reduction.This study focuses on the new positioning of CCUS in the carbon neutrality scenario and aims to identify potential cutting-edge/disruptive CCU technologies that may find important application opportunities during the decarbonization of the energy and industrial system.To this end,direct air capture(DAC),flexible metal-framework materials(MOFs)for CO_(2)capture,integrated CO_(2)capture and conversion(ICCC),and electrocatalytic CO_(2)reduction(ECR)were selected,and their general introduction,the importance to carbon neutrality,and most up-to-date research progress are summarized. 展开更多

Natural gas and shale gas,with methane as the main component,are important and clean fossil energy resources.Direct catalytic conversion of methane to valuable chemicals is considered a crown jewel topic in catalysis.Substantial studies on processes including methane reforming,oxidative coupling of methane,non-oxidative coupling of methane,etc.have been conducted for many years.However,owing to the intrinsic chemical inertness of CH4,harsh reaction conditions involving either extremely high temperatures or highly oxidative reactants are required to activate the C–H bonds of CH4 in such thermocatalytic processes,which may cause the target products,such as ethylene or methanol,to be further converted into coke or CO and CO2.It is desirable to adopt a new strategy for direct CH4 conversion under mild conditions.Herein,we report that efficient electrocatalytic oxidation of methane to alcohols at ambient temperature and pressure can be achieved using a NiO/Ni hollow fiber electrode.This work opens a new avenue for direct catalytic conversion of CH4. 展开更多

Narrative as“legal tender”:the semiotic meanings of“exchange”in Malcolm Bradbury’s Rates of Exchange

Malcolm Bradbury’s novel Rates of Exchange,taking the economic term“rates of exchange”as a central metaphor,depicts various exchanges occurring in the socio-economic landscape of Britain during the 1970s and 1980s.In the context of governmental emphasis on economic development,the novel intricately explores exchanges among diverse entities,playing with multiple meanings of the term“exchange”.In this way,the novel itself becomes a form of“legal tender,”exchanged for reader comprehension,communication,and participation.It highlights the ubiquitous presence of exchange and the risks associated with the uncertain exchange rates between different entities.Furthermore,it invites readers to participate in the story-telling and the nostalgic journey back to British literary tradition.This paper,drawing on Roland Barthes’s semiotic theory along with structuralist and poststructuralist concepts,investigates the multifaceted meanings of“exchange”in the novel.Through this analysis,the paper aims to illuminate the semiotic significance of various narrative forms and the profound thematic concerns in Bradbury’s work. 展开更多

利用低品阶可再生电能将CO_(2)直接高效地转化成高附加值化学品,能够在减少碳排放的同时,实现CO_(2)的资源化利用及可再生能源的合理转化与存储.发展气相CO_(2)电催化体系能够解决CO_(2)在电解液中溶解度受限、还原产物分离困难等问题,... 利用低品阶可再生电能将CO_(2)直接高效地转化成高附加值化学品,能够在减少碳排放的同时,实现CO_(2)的资源化利用及可再生能源的合理转化与存储.发展气相CO_(2)电催化体系能够解决CO_(2)在电解液中溶解度受限、还原产物分离困难等问题,是CO_(2)电化学还原走向应用的重要途径.本文以Cu中空纤维为基体,利用原电池置换反应将Ag修饰于Cu中空纤维表面,制备了Ag-Cu中空纤维电极,研究了中空纤维电极的表面形貌、体相结构与表面元素价态等性质对电催化气相CO_(2)转化反应性能的影响规律.相比Cu中空纤维,Ag-Cu中空纤维电极的反应电流密度以及C_(3)产物丙醛、丙酮的法拉第效率均显著提高.Ag枝晶的引入,既提高了电极对气相CO_(2)的电催化反应活性,又有利于促进关键中间物种碳-碳偶联生成多碳含氧产物.本工作为设计气相CO_(2)转化生成多碳含氧产物的新型电催化体系提供了思路和经验. 展开更多
