In this method, ...Herein, we report a confined pyrolysis strategy to prepare mesoporous carbon nanospheres by which surface area of carbon spheres is increased, pore size is enlarged and effective N-doping is achieved. In this method, the mesoporous polymer sphere as carbon precursor and 2-methylimidazole as nitrogen precursor are encapsulated in a compact silica shell which provides a confined nano-space for the pyrolysis treatment. The in situ generated gases from mesoporous polymer sphere and 2-methylimidazole under pyrolysis diffuse into the pores of mesoporous polymer sphere in the confined compact silica shell,resulting in increased surface area, larger pore size and N-doping due to self-activation effect. As electrodes in supercapacitor, the N-doped mesoporous carbon nanospheres exhibit a significantly enhanced specific capacitance of 326 Fg^-1 at 0.5 Ag^-1, which is 2 times higher than that of mesoporous carbon spheres under unconfined pyrolysis condition, exhibiting its potential for electrode materials with high performance.展开更多

Basing on the compositional inhomogeneity inside the nanospheres of 3-aminophenol/formaldehyde (3-AF) polymerization, the internal 3-AF oligomer with low-molecular-weight is dissolved by acetone to form cavity. Then the dispersive 3-AF oligomer reassemble with silica oligomer as pore-forming agent and cetyltrimethyl-ammonium bromide as surfactant to form a mesoporous outer shell. In addition, the amount of acetone has a great influence on the morphology and structure of H(Micro/Meso)CS. The obtained H(Micro/Meso)CS shows uniform spherical and microporous/mesoporous shell structure and has a high specific capacity and excellent high rate capability.展开更多
Metal organic frameworks(MOFs)derived carbonaceous materials have a wide range of applications in the fields of energy storage,catalysis,adsorption and separation,etc.Especially,zeolitic imidazolate framework-8(ZIF-8)...Metal organic frameworks(MOFs)derived carbonaceous materials have a wide range of applications in the fields of energy storage,catalysis,adsorption and separation,etc.Especially,zeolitic imidazolate framework-8(ZIF-8)is an excellent candidate to synthesize porous carbon due to the large surface area and high nitrogen content.However,the dominated microporous structure of ZIF-8-derived carbon significantly hinders ionic mass trans fer,limiting the improvement of performance.Herein,MOF-derived mesoporous carbon was prepared using ZIF-8 as carbon precursor and cheap sodium silicate(Na_(2)SiO_(3))as activator.The introduction of Na_(2)SiO_(3) created rich mesoporous structure and increased specific surface area,as well as the effects of pyrolysis temperature and Na_(2)SiO_(3) dosage on performance was also investigated.The obtained ZIF-derived porous carbon exhibits good electrochemical performance with specific capacitance of 263 F/g at 1 A/g and excellent cycle life(96.07%after 10,000 GCD cycles)in supercapacitor.The use of cheap Na_(2)SiO_(3) activator provides a new orientation for the preparation of MOF-derived carbons with rich pores,high surface area,and facilitates the large-scale application of MOF-derived carbons.展开更多

Hexamethylenetetramine (HMT) was selected as the starting material, which decomposed to provide nitrogen and carbon sources for the synthesis of NCSs. The decomposition product formaldehyde polymerized to form carbon skeleton with resorcinol after carbonization, and the in-situ nitrogen doping was achieved with the decomposed nitrogen source. NCSs were obtained with regular spherical morphology, high specific surface area, and suitable nitrogen doping. When used as the electrode material, NCSs exhibited good capacitance and electrochemical stability, indicating that NCSs be the promising candidate for the electrode material of high-performance supercapacitors.展开更多
The present study was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of phytogenic extract on growth and health of tilapia.Three experimental diets were designed as the basal diet(Con)and phytogenic extract(Flourishing,F)suppleme...The present study was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of phytogenic extract on growth and health of tilapia.Three experimental diets were designed as the basal diet(Con)and phytogenic extract(Flourishing,F)supplemented diets at 0.5 and 1 g/kg inclusion(F-1 and F-2),which the phytogenic additive was extracted from Eucommia ulmoides,Astragalus membranaceus,Lonicera japonica and Codonopsis pilosula.The three diets were fed to juvenile tilapia(14.0±0.1 g)with 30 fish per cage,and three replicate cages from the three groups were placed in one indoor concrete pool(a total of three pools were used).After 8 weeks of feeding,the weight gain was significantly increased,and feed conversion ratio was decreased in F-2 group(P<0.05)when compared to the control.Both levels of phytogenic extract significantly promoted the retentions of protein and lipid and the apparent digestibility coefficient of dry matter and protein(P<0.05).The activity of superoxide dismutase and the levels of white blood cells,haemoglobin and glutamic pyruvic transaminase were also significantly increased by the supplementation of phytogenic extract(P<0.05).The villus height in anterior intestine was significantly enhanced in F-1 and F-2 groups(P<0.05).After challenging with Aeromonas hydrophila,the cumulative mortality was significantly declined in F-1 and F-2 groups(P<0.05).In summary,the dietary supplementation of phytogenic extract at 1 g/kg feed could provide positive efficiency on growth,nutrient utilization,immunity,gut morphology and disease resistance of tilapia under the present conditions.展开更多
