The current study aimed to compare the effects between remimazolam and propofol on hemodynamic stability during the induction of general anesthesia in elderly patients.We used propofol at a rate of 60 mg/(kg·h)in...The current study aimed to compare the effects between remimazolam and propofol on hemodynamic stability during the induction of general anesthesia in elderly patients.We used propofol at a rate of 60 mg/(kg·h)in the propofol group(group P)or remimazolam at a rate of 6 mg/(kg·h)in the remimazolam group(group R)for the induction.A processed electroencephalogram was used to determine whether the induction was successful and when to stop the infusion of the study drug.We measured when patients entered the operating room(T_(0)),when the induction was successful(T_(1)),and when before(T_(2))and 5 min after successful endotracheal intubation(T_(3)).We found that mean arterial pressure(MAP)was lower at T_(1–3),compared with T_(0) in both groups,but higher at T_(2) in the group R,whileΔMAP_(T0–T2) andΔMAP_(max) were smaller in the group R(ΔMAP_(T0–T2):the difference between MAP at time point T_(0) and T_(2),ΔMAP_(max):the difference between MAP at time point T_(0) and the lowest value from T_(0) to T_(3)).Cardiac index and stroke volume index did not differ between groups,whereas systemic vascular resistance index was higher at T_(1–3) in the group R.These findings show that remimazolam,compared with propofol,better maintains hemodynamic stability during the induction,which may be attributed to its ability to better maintain systemic vascular resistance levels.展开更多

Most previous relevant studies of doped manganites rely on the cubic/orthorhombic structures, while the hexagonal structure is much less studied. Here first-principles calculations are employed to investigate the magnetic and electronic structures of La-doped 4H-SrMnO_(3). By systematically analyzing the two kinds of La-doped positions, our calculations predict that the doped electron with lattice distortion would prefer to form polarons, which contribute to the local magnetic phase transition, nonzero net magnetization, and semiconducting behavior. In addition, the energy gap decreases gradually with increasing doping concentration, indicating a tendency of insulator–metal transition.展开更多

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of LLLT on pain and somatosensory sensitization induced by orthodontic treatment. Forty individuals(12–33 years old; mean ± standard deviations: 20.8 ± 5.9 years) scheduled to receive orthodontic treatment were randomly divided into a laser group(LG) or a placebo group(PG)(1:1). The LG received LLLT(810-nm gallium-aluminium-arsenic diode laser in continuous mode with the power set at 400 mW, 2 J·cm–2) at 0 h, 2 h, 24 h, 4 d, and 7 d after treatment, and the PG received inactive treatment at the same time points. In both groups, the non-treated side served as a control. A numerical rating scale(NRS) of pain, pressure pain thresholds(PPTs), cold detection thresholds(CDTs), warmth detection thresholds(WDTs), cold pain thresholds(CPTs), and heat pain thresholds(HPTs) were tested on both sides at the gingiva and canine tooth and on the hand. The data were analysed by a repeated measures analysis of variance(ANOVA). The NRS pain scores were significantly lower in the LG group(P = 0.01). The CDTs,CPTs, WDTs, HPTs, and PPTs at the gingiva and the PPTs at the canine tooth were significantly less sensitive on the treatment side of the LG compared with that of the PG(P < 0.033). The parameters tested also showed significantly less sensitivity on the nontreatment side of the LG compared to that of the PG(P < 0.043). There were no differences between the groups for any quantitative sensory testing(QST) measures of the hand. The application of LLLT appears to reduce the pain and sensitivity of the tooth and gingiva associated with orthodontic treatment and may have contralateral effects within the trigeminal system but no generalized QST effects. Thus, the present study indicated a significant analgesia effect of LLLT application during orthodontic treatment.Further clinical applications are suggested.展开更多

This system uses the Kinect visual image sensor to identify human bone data and complete the reco...The development of artificial intelligence technology has promoted the rapid improvement of human-computer interaction. This system uses the Kinect visual image sensor to identify human bone data and complete the recognition of the operator’s movements. Through the filtering process of real-time data by the host computer platform with computer software as the core, the algorithm is programmed to realize the conversion from data to control signals. The system transmits the signal to the lower computer platform with Arduino as the core through the transmission mode of the serial communication, thereby completing the control of the steering gear. In order to verify the feasibility of the theory, the team built a 4-DOF robotic arm control system and completed software development. It can display other functions such as the current bone angle and motion status in real time on the computer operation interface. The experimental data shows that the Kinect-based motion recognition method can effectively complete the tracking of the expected motion and complete the grasping and transfer of the specified objects, which has extremely high operability.展开更多

With the rapid advancements in artificial intelligence and computer vision technology,thefield of visual-based human pose detection has emerged as a highly sought-after research area in recent years.The identification of...With the rapid advancements in artificial intelligence and computer vision technology,thefield of visual-based human pose detection has emerged as a highly sought-after research area in recent years.The identification of human poses has practical applications in diverse domains,ranging from motion-sensing games for human-computer interaction to activity prediction and medical rehabil-itation.The present study is focused on the utilization of human pose detection forfitness movement counting.The ultimate aim of the system design is to accurately detect the skeletal key points of each body part in the image and subsequently con-nect them to form a human pose skeleton,which serves as a vital representation of the characteristics of human motion,particularly in the context of video data,where multiple human poses can be linked to form a certain movement trajectory.By judging the trajectory and angle changes,the system can determine whether people’sfitness movements are correct and help them improve theirfitness effec-tiveness.Hence,an increasing number of researchers are investing time and effort in thisfield.One common approach for human pose detection is OpenPose,but this model has a large and complex structure and low detection accuracy.Therefore,thisfitness movement detection and counting system uses a lightweight MediaPipe model and improves it to enhance the algorithm’s accuracy and recognition speed.The specific work in this paper includes three main points:(1)a suitable network structure to detect human skeletal points;(2)the appropriate skeletal structure forfitness movements through experiments to obtain accurate results;and(3)a Qt interface for human-computer interaction.展开更多
