AIM: To explore the probable pathway by which curcumin(Cur) regulates the function of Treg cells by observing the expression of costimulatory molecules of dendritic cells(DCs).METHODS: Experimental colitis was induced...AIM: To explore the probable pathway by which curcumin(Cur) regulates the function of Treg cells by observing the expression of costimulatory molecules of dendritic cells(DCs).METHODS: Experimental colitis was induced by administering 2, 4, 6-trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid(TNBS)/ethanol solution. Forty male C57BL/6 mice were randomly divided into four groups: normal, TNBS + Cur, TNBS + mesalazine(Mes) and TNBS groups. The mice in the TNBS + Cur and TNBS +Mes groups were treated with Cur and Mes, respectively, while those in the TNBS group were treated with physiological saline for 7 d. After treatment, the curative effect of Cur was evaluated by colonic weight, colonic length, weight index of the colon, and histological observation and score. The levels of CD4+CD25+Foxp3+ T cells(Treg cells) and costimulatory molecules of DCs were measured by flow cytometry. Also, related cytokines were analyzed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. RESULTS: Cur alleviated inflammatory injury of the colonic mucosa, decreased colonic weigh and histological score, and restored colonic length. The number of Treg cells was increased, while the secretion of TNF-α, IL-2, IL-6, IL-12 p40, IL-17 and IL-21 and the expression of costimulatory molecules(CD205, CD54 [ICAM-1], TLR4, CD252[OX40 L], CD256 [RANK] and CD254 [RANK L]) of DCs were notably inhibited in colitis mice treated with Cur.CONCLUSION: Cur potentially modulates activation of DCs to enhance the suppressive functions of Treg cells and promote the recovery of damaged colonic mucosa in inflammatory bowel disease.展开更多

METHODS We evaluated the suppressive effect of Cur on CD8(+)CD11c(+) cells in spleen and Peyer's patches (PPs) in colitis induced by trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid. Mice with colitis were treated by 200 mg/kg Cur for 7 d. On day 8, the therapeutic effect of Cur was evaluated by visual assessment and histological examination, while co-stimulatory molecules of CD8(+)CD11c(+) cells in the spleen and PPs were measured by flow cytometry. The levels of interleukin (IL)-10, interferon (IFN)-gamma and transforming growth factor (TGF)-beta 1 in spleen and colonic mucosa were determined by ELISA. RESULTS The disease activity index, colon weight, weight index of colon and histological score of experimental colitis were obviously decreased after Cur treatment, while the body weight and colon length recovered. After treatment with Cur, CD8(+)CD11c(+) cells were decreased in the spleen and PPs, and the expression of major histocompatibility complex., CD205, CD40, CD40L and intercellular adhesion molecule-1 was inhibited. IL-10, IFN-gamma and TGF-beta 1 levels were increased compared with those in mice with untreated colitis. CONCLUSION Cur can effectively treat experimental colitis, which is realized by inhibiting CD8(+)CD11c(+) cells.展开更多

Ginger(Zingiber officinale),the type species of Zingiberaceae,is one of the most widespread medicinal plants and spices.Here,we report a high-quality,chromosome-scale reference genome of ginger‘Zhugen’,a traditional...Ginger(Zingiber officinale),the type species of Zingiberaceae,is one of the most widespread medicinal plants and spices.Here,we report a high-quality,chromosome-scale reference genome of ginger‘Zhugen’,a traditionally cultivated ginger in Southwest China used as a fresh vegetable,assembled from PacBio long reads,Illumina short reads,and high-throughput chromosome conformation capture(Hi-C)reads.The ginger genome was phased into two haplotypes,haplotype 1(1.53 Gb with a contig N50 of 4.68 M)and haplotype 0(1.51 Gb with a contig N50 of 5.28 M).Homologous ginger chromosomes maintained excellent gene pair collinearity.In 17,226 pairs of allelic genes,11.9%exhibited differential expression between alleles.Based on the results of ginger genome sequencing,transcriptome analysis,and metabolomic analysis,we proposed a backbone biosynthetic pathway of gingerol analogs,which consists of 12 enzymatic gene families,PAL,C4H,4CL,CST,C3’H,C3OMT,CCOMT,CSE,PKS,AOR,DHN,and DHT.These analyses also identified the likely transcription factor networks that regulate the synthesis of gingerol analogs.Overall,this study serves as an excellent resource for further research on ginger biology and breeding,lays a foundation for a better understanding of ginger evolution,and presents an intact biosynthetic pathway for species-specific gingerol biosynthesis.展开更多

In this study, we investigated the role of the CXC chemokine receptor 3 (CXCR3)- associated chemokine [monokine induced by IFN-gamma (Mig/CXCL9) and interferon-gamma-inducible protein 10 (IP-10/CXCL10)] in the recruitment of intrahepatic lymphocytes and subsequent fulminant hepatic failure induced by MHV-3. Balb/cJ mice (6-8 weeks, female) were intraperitioneally injected with 100 PFU MHV-3.The proportions and numbers of T cells and NK cells as well as the expression of CXCR3 on T cells and NK cells in the liver, spleen and blood were analyzed by flow cytometry. The hepatic mRNA level of the CXCR3-associated chemokines (CXCL9 and CXCL10) was detected by realtime PCR. A transwell migration assay was used to assess the chemotactic effect of MHV-3-infected hepatocytes on the splenic lymphocytes. Following MHV-3 infection, the number of hepatic NK cells and T cells and the frequencies of hepatic NK cells and T cells expressing CXCR3 increased markedly; however, in the spleen and peripheral blood, they both decreased significantly. Moreover, the hepatic mRNAs levels of CXCL9 and CXCL10 were significantly elevated post infection. The transwell migration assay demonstrated that MHV-3-infected hepatocytes have the capacity to attract and recruit the splenic NK cells and T cells, and CXCL10 plays a key role in lymphocyte mobilization from the spleen. These results suggest that the CXCR3- associated chemokines (CXCL9 and CXCL10) may play animportant role in the recruitment of intrahepatic lymphocytes and subsequent necroinflammation and hepatic failure in MHV-3 infection.展开更多

Penetration estimation is a prerequisite of the automation of backing welding based on vision sensing technology. However, the arc interference in welding process leads to the difficulties of extracting the weld pool ...Penetration estimation is a prerequisite of the automation of backing welding based on vision sensing technology. However, the arc interference in welding process leads to the difficulties of extracting the weld pool characteristic information, which brings great challenges to the penetration estimation. At present, most researches focus on the extraction of weld pool geometry parameters, and the visual sensing systems are complex in structure and complicated in the image processing algorithms. The research of penetration estimation based on weld pool geometry parameters is still in the exploratory stage. The purpose of this paper is to research the relationship between the weld pool geometry parameters and the penetration during backing welding and to estimate penetration using the weld pool geometry parameters. A passive vision sensing test system for gas metal arc (GMA) backing welding was established. An image processing algorithm was developed to extract the weld pool geometry parameters, namely, the area, maximum width and length, half-length, length-width ratio and advancing contact angle (simplified as AWP, MWWP, MLWP, HLWP, LWR and ACA, respectively). The corresponding relationships between the weld pool geometry parameters and the penetration state were explored by analysing their changes with the welding current and speed. The distribution of the weld pool geometry parameters corresponding to penetration was determined. When the AWP of the weld pool is within a certain range and the values of LWR and ACA are close to their maximum and minimum respectively, the penetration is in good condition. A mathematical model with the weld pool geometry parameters as independent variables and the back-bead width (the indicator of the penetration state) as a dependent variable was established based on multivariable linear regression analysis, and relevant statistical tests were carried out. Multivariable linear regression equations for the weld pool geometry parameters and the back-bead width were deduced according to the variations in the current and speed, and the equations can be used to estimate the penetration of backing welding. The study provides a solution to penetration estimation of GMA backing welding based on automatic vision sensing.展开更多

Optical thermometry based on the upconversion(UC)luminescence intensity ratio(LIR)has attracted considerable attention because of its feasibility for achievement of accurate non-contact temperature measurement.Compare...Optical thermometry based on the upconversion(UC)luminescence intensity ratio(LIR)has attracted considerable attention because of its feasibility for achievement of accurate non-contact temperature measurement.Compared with traditional UC phosphors,optical thermometry based on UC single crystals can achieve faster response and higher sensitivity due to the stability and high thermal conductivity of the single crystals.In this study,a high-quality 5 at%Yb^(3+)and 1 at%Ho^(3+)co-doped Gd_(0.74)Y_(0.2)TaO_(4)single crystal was grown by the Czochralski(Cz)method,and the structure of the as-grown crystal was characterized.Importantly,the UC luminescent properties and optical thermometry behaviors of this crystal were revealed.Under 980 nm wavelength excitation,green and red UC luminescence lines at 550 and 650 nm and corresponding to the^(5)F_(4)/^(5)S_(2)→^(5)I_(8)and^(5)F_(5)→^(5)I_(8)transitions of Ho^(3+),respectively,were observed.The green and red UC emissions involved a two-photon mechanism,as evidenced by the analysis of power-dependent UC emission spectra.The temperature-dependent UC emission spectra were measured in the temperature range of 330–660 K to assess the optical temperature sensing behavior.At 660 K,the maximum relative sensing sensitivity(S_(r))was determined to be 0.0037 K^(−1).These results highlight the signifcant potential of Yb,Ho:GYTO single crystal for optical temperature sensors.展开更多

The aim of this study was to determine whether the lower urinary tract storage symptoms of benign prostatic obstruction (BPO) could be completely resolved after plasmakinetic enucleation of the prostate (PKEP) and...The aim of this study was to determine whether the lower urinary tract storage symptoms of benign prostatic obstruction (BPO) could be completely resolved after plasmakinetic enucleation of the prostate (PKEP) and the possible predictors of persistent symptoms. Two hundred and sixty-seven cases of BPO performed PKEP from July 2008 to June 2009 were retrospectively analyzed. Five-year postoperative data were collected and compared with the preoperative data. According to the urodynamic results, the patients were divided into involuntary detrusor contraction (IDC) group (n = 95) and no IDC group (n = 172) preoperatively; the patients with IDC were divided into IDC-persistent group (n = 33) and IDC-resolved group (n = 62) after PKER The predictors of persistent IDC were analyzed. Compared with the preoperative data, the 5-year postoperative data showed that the IDC rate was lower (P --- 0.000), Overactive Bladder Symptom Score (OABSS) was lower (P = 0.000), maximum cystometric capacity (MCC) was larger (P= 0.000), Prostate volume (PV) was smaller (P= 0.000), and prostate-specific antigen (PSA) was lower (P= 0.000). Compared with the no IDC group, the IDC group showed that the age was older (P = 0.016), MCC was smaller (P = 0.004), PSA was higher (P = 0.016), and Chronic Inflammation rate was higher (P = 0.004). Compared with IDC-resolved group after PKER IDC-persistent group showed that the age was older (P = 0.019), MCC was smaller (P = 0.000), PSA was higher (P = 0.013), and Chronic Ihflammation rate was higher (P = 0.032). The present study shows that the storage symptoms are still needed to be focused on after PKER The advanced patient age, MCC, PSA, and chronic inflammation may be the important clinical predictors of persistent IDC.展开更多

As the network size or the communication radius of individual oscillators increases, t...In this work, we study the collective dynamics of phase oscillators in a mobile ad hoc network whose topology changes dynamically. As the network size or the communication radius of individual oscillators increases, the topology of the ad hoc network first undergoes percolation, forming a giant cluster, and then gradually achieves global connectivity. It is shown that oscillator mobility generally enhances the coherence in such networks. Interestingly, we find a new type of phase synchronization/clustering, in which the phases of the oscillators are distributed in a certain narrow range, while the instantaneous frequencies change signs frequently, leading to shuttle-run-like motion of the oscillators in phase space. We conduct a theoretical analysis to explain the mechanism of this synchronization and obtain the critical transition point.展开更多

When the sericin-1 gene promoter was cloned and a transgenic vector was constructed to express a foreign protein, a specific Helitron, Bmhel-8, was identified in the sericin-1 gene promoter sequence in some genotypes of Bombyx mori and Bombyx mandarina. Given that the Bmhel-8 Helitron transposon was present only in some genotypes, it could be the source of allelic variation in the sericin-I promoter. The length of the sericin-1 promoter sequence is approximately 1063 or 643 bp. The larger size of the sequence or allele is ascribed to the presence of Bmhel-8. Silkworm genotypes can be homozygous for either the shorter or larger promoter sequence or heterozygous, containing both alleles. Bmhel-8 in the sericin-1 promoter exhibits enhancer activity, as demonstrated by a dual-luciferase reporter system in BraE cell lines. Furthermore, Bmhel-8 displays enhancer activity in a sericin-1 promoter-driven gene expression system but does not regulate the tissue-specific expression of sericin-1.展开更多
Al-Cu-Li alloy is a huge potential alloy for aerospace industry due to its low density and excellent comprehensive performances.In this study,the microstructures and mechanical properties of a novel cast Al-Cu-Li allo...Al-Cu-Li alloy is a huge potential alloy for aerospace industry due to its low density and excellent comprehensive performances.In this study,the microstructures and mechanical properties of a novel cast Al-Cu-Li alloy during the heat treatment were investigated.Results showed that most of the secondary phases along grain boundaries in as-cast state were dissolved into the Al matrix after homogenization and solution treatment,while the Cu-rich phases were slightly segregated once again on grain boundaries after aging.A relatively good combination of strength and ductility(average ultimate tensile strength of 430 MPa and elongation of 8.9%)was obtained after natural aging.Transmission electron microscopy(TEM)results revealed that there was a complicated precipitate distribution in this cast alloy after natural aging.Compared with the similar alloys which introduced dislocations before aging,the density of T1(Al_(2)CuLi)phases was decreased but the size was increased.The low volume fraction of d0 phase,medium density of needle-shaped precipitates and relativity narrow precipitates-free zone with varying widths near grain boundary are the reasons accounting for the improvement of performances.展开更多

Shade de-creases red: far-red (R:FR) ratios that inactivate phyto-chrome B (PHYB) and subsequently release phytochrome interaction factors (PIFs). Shaded plants display elongated hypocotyls, internodes, and petioles, hyponastic leaves, early flowering and are inhibited in branching: traits col ectively cal ed the shade avoidance syndrome (SAS). ZEITLUPE (ZTL) is a circadian clock component and blue light photoreceptor, which is also involved in floral rhythms and plant defense in Nicotiana attenuata. ztl mutants are hypersensitive to red light and ZTL physical y interacts with PHYB, suggesting the involvement of ZTL in R:FR light signaling. Here, we show that N. attenuata ZTL-silenced plants display a phenotype op-posite to that of the SAS under normal light. After simulated shade, the normal y induced transcript levels of the SAS mar-ker gene, ATHB2 are attenuated in ZTL-silenced plants. The auxin signaling pathway, known to be involved in SAS, was also significantly attenuated. Furthermore, NaZTL directly in-teracts with NaPHYBs, and regulates the transcript levels of PHYBs, PIF3a, PIF7 and PIF8 under shade. Our results suggest that ZTL may regulate PHYB- and the auxin-mediated sig-naling pathway, which functions in the SAS of N. attenuata.展开更多

We simulate the game dynamics on top of complex network topologies and approximate the fixation time distributions using a mean-field approach. We assume that there are two absorbing states. Numerically, we show that the mean fixation time is sufficient in characterizing the evolutionary timescales when network structures are close to the well-mixing condition. In contrast, the mean fixation time shows large inaccuracies when networks become sparse. The approximation accuracy is determined by the network structure, and hence by the suitability of the mean-field approach. The numerical results show good agreement with the theoretical predictions.展开更多

The number of Treg cells was increased, while the secretion of TNF-α, IL-2, IL-6, IL-12 p40, IL-17 and IL-21 and the expression of costimulatory molecules(CD205, CD54 [ICAM-1], TLR4, CD252[OX40 L], CD256 [RANK] and CD254 [RANK L]) of DCs were notably inhibited in colitis mice treated with Cur.CONCLUSION: Cur potentially modulates activation of DCs to enhance the suppressive functions of Treg cells and promote the recovery of damaged colonic mucosa in inflammatory bowel disease.

文摘AIM To verify whether curcumin (Cur) can treat inflammatory bowel disease by regulating CD8(+)CD11c(+) cells. METHODS We evaluated the suppressive effect of Cur on CD8(+)CD11c(+) cells in spleen and Peyer's patches (PPs) in colitis induced by trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid. Mice with colitis were treated by 200 mg/kg Cur for 7 d. On day 8, the therapeutic effect of Cur was evaluated by visual assessment and histological examination, while co-stimulatory molecules of CD8(+)CD11c(+) cells in the spleen and PPs were measured by flow cytometry. The levels of interleukin (IL)-10, interferon (IFN)-gamma and transforming growth factor (TGF)-beta 1 in spleen and colonic mucosa were determined by ELISA. RESULTS The disease activity index, colon weight, weight index of colon and histological score of experimental colitis were obviously decreased after Cur treatment, while the body weight and colon length recovered. After treatment with Cur, CD8(+)CD11c(+) cells were decreased in the spleen and PPs, and the expression of major histocompatibility complex., CD205, CD40, CD40L and intercellular adhesion molecule-1 was inhibited. IL-10, IFN-gamma and TGF-beta 1 levels were increased compared with those in mice with untreated colitis. CONCLUSION Cur can effectively treat experimental colitis, which is realized by inhibiting CD8(+)CD11c(+) cells.

文摘A series of novel coumarin-stilbenes hybrids called 3-arylcoumarins were synthesized via Perkin reaction and evaluated as potential antitumor agents.The results showed that some compounds exhibited in vitro activity against KB,KV,MCF-7,MCF-7/ ADR cell lines to some extent.Compound 3a showed remarkable effect against KB tumor cells with an IC50 value of 5.18μmol/L.

文摘Ginger(Zingiber officinale),the type species of Zingiberaceae,is one of the most widespread medicinal plants and spices.Here,we report a high-quality,chromosome-scale reference genome of ginger‘Zhugen’,a traditionally cultivated ginger in Southwest China used as a fresh vegetable,assembled from PacBio long reads,Illumina short reads,and high-throughput chromosome conformation capture(Hi-C)reads.The ginger genome was phased into two haplotypes,haplotype 1(1.53 Gb with a contig N50 of 4.68 M)and haplotype 0(1.51 Gb with a contig N50 of 5.28 M).Homologous ginger chromosomes maintained excellent gene pair collinearity.In 17,226 pairs of allelic genes,11.9%exhibited differential expression between alleles.Based on the results of ginger genome sequencing,transcriptome analysis,and metabolomic analysis,we proposed a backbone biosynthetic pathway of gingerol analogs,which consists of 12 enzymatic gene families,PAL,C4H,4CL,CST,C3’H,C3OMT,CCOMT,CSE,PKS,AOR,DHN,and DHT.These analyses also identified the likely transcription factor networks that regulate the synthesis of gingerol analogs.Overall,this study serves as an excellent resource for further research on ginger biology and breeding,lays a foundation for a better understanding of ginger evolution,and presents an intact biosynthetic pathway for species-specific gingerol biosynthesis.

文摘The role of chemokines in murine hepatitis virus strain 3 (MHV-3) induced fulminant hepatic failure (FHF) is not well defined. In this study, we investigated the role of the CXC chemokine receptor 3 (CXCR3)- associated chemokine [monokine induced by IFN-gamma (Mig/CXCL9) and interferon-gamma-inducible protein 10 (IP-10/CXCL10)] in the recruitment of intrahepatic lymphocytes and subsequent fulminant hepatic failure induced by MHV-3. Balb/cJ mice (6-8 weeks, female) were intraperitioneally injected with 100 PFU MHV-3.The proportions and numbers of T cells and NK cells as well as the expression of CXCR3 on T cells and NK cells in the liver, spleen and blood were analyzed by flow cytometry. The hepatic mRNA level of the CXCR3-associated chemokines (CXCL9 and CXCL10) was detected by realtime PCR. A transwell migration assay was used to assess the chemotactic effect of MHV-3-infected hepatocytes on the splenic lymphocytes. Following MHV-3 infection, the number of hepatic NK cells and T cells and the frequencies of hepatic NK cells and T cells expressing CXCR3 increased markedly; however, in the spleen and peripheral blood, they both decreased significantly. Moreover, the hepatic mRNAs levels of CXCL9 and CXCL10 were significantly elevated post infection. The transwell migration assay demonstrated that MHV-3-infected hepatocytes have the capacity to attract and recruit the splenic NK cells and T cells, and CXCL10 plays a key role in lymphocyte mobilization from the spleen. These results suggest that the CXCR3- associated chemokines (CXCL9 and CXCL10) may play animportant role in the recruitment of intrahepatic lymphocytes and subsequent necroinflammation and hepatic failure in MHV-3 infection.

文摘Penetration estimation is a prerequisite of the automation of backing welding based on vision sensing technology. However, the arc interference in welding process leads to the difficulties of extracting the weld pool characteristic information, which brings great challenges to the penetration estimation. At present, most researches focus on the extraction of weld pool geometry parameters, and the visual sensing systems are complex in structure and complicated in the image processing algorithms. The research of penetration estimation based on weld pool geometry parameters is still in the exploratory stage. The purpose of this paper is to research the relationship between the weld pool geometry parameters and the penetration during backing welding and to estimate penetration using the weld pool geometry parameters. A passive vision sensing test system for gas metal arc (GMA) backing welding was established. An image processing algorithm was developed to extract the weld pool geometry parameters, namely, the area, maximum width and length, half-length, length-width ratio and advancing contact angle (simplified as AWP, MWWP, MLWP, HLWP, LWR and ACA, respectively). The corresponding relationships between the weld pool geometry parameters and the penetration state were explored by analysing their changes with the welding current and speed. The distribution of the weld pool geometry parameters corresponding to penetration was determined. When the AWP of the weld pool is within a certain range and the values of LWR and ACA are close to their maximum and minimum respectively, the penetration is in good condition. A mathematical model with the weld pool geometry parameters as independent variables and the back-bead width (the indicator of the penetration state) as a dependent variable was established based on multivariable linear regression analysis, and relevant statistical tests were carried out. Multivariable linear regression equations for the weld pool geometry parameters and the back-bead width were deduced according to the variations in the current and speed, and the equations can be used to estimate the penetration of backing welding. The study provides a solution to penetration estimation of GMA backing welding based on automatic vision sensing.

文摘Actual chemical states of single-atom metal on reducible supports remain a fiercely debated topic under reactive environments.Herein,we demonstrate that the single-atom Pt on Co_(3)O_(4)surface undergoes an in-situ reconstruction to form isolated Pt-Co bimetallic sites via reducing coordination number of Pt–O in the presence of hydrogen from both simulations and in-situ X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.The modified chemical states of Pt greatly promoted H_(2)activation,thus delivering a significantly high turnover frequency of 7,448 h−1(19.5 times over Pt nanoparticles on Co_(3)O_(4))for hydrogenation of cinnamaldehyde.The satisfactory selectivity of 95.2%towards cinnamyl alcohol was ascribed to a tilted adsorption configuration of reactant on the catalyst surface via aldehyde group.We anticipate that the recognitions on in-situ reconstruction of single-atom catalysts(SACs)under the reducing conditions benefit the design of highly-performed hydrogenation catalysts.

文摘Optical thermometry based on the upconversion(UC)luminescence intensity ratio(LIR)has attracted considerable attention because of its feasibility for achievement of accurate non-contact temperature measurement.Compared with traditional UC phosphors,optical thermometry based on UC single crystals can achieve faster response and higher sensitivity due to the stability and high thermal conductivity of the single crystals.In this study,a high-quality 5 at%Yb^(3+)and 1 at%Ho^(3+)co-doped Gd_(0.74)Y_(0.2)TaO_(4)single crystal was grown by the Czochralski(Cz)method,and the structure of the as-grown crystal was characterized.Importantly,the UC luminescent properties and optical thermometry behaviors of this crystal were revealed.Under 980 nm wavelength excitation,green and red UC luminescence lines at 550 and 650 nm and corresponding to the^(5)F_(4)/^(5)S_(2)→^(5)I_(8)and^(5)F_(5)→^(5)I_(8)transitions of Ho^(3+),respectively,were observed.The green and red UC emissions involved a two-photon mechanism,as evidenced by the analysis of power-dependent UC emission spectra.The temperature-dependent UC emission spectra were measured in the temperature range of 330–660 K to assess the optical temperature sensing behavior.At 660 K,the maximum relative sensing sensitivity(S_(r))was determined to be 0.0037 K^(−1).These results highlight the signifcant potential of Yb,Ho:GYTO single crystal for optical temperature sensors.

(Rutaceae), resulting from vari- ous factors such as harvest time, drying and extraction methods (Huang et al., 2006; Shao et al., 2013), sol- vent and herbal parts used (Zhang, 1996; Cao and Zhang, 2010; Wang et al., 2011). However, in terms of artificial introduction and cultivation, there is little research on the chemical composition of essential oil extracted from Z. bungeanum Maxim.

文摘Two bioactive natural 4-arylcoumarins,5,7,4'-trimethoxy-4-phenylcoumarin(1a),5,7-dimethoxy-4-phenylcoumarin(1b) and five closely related derivatives 1c-g were synthesized.In vitro evaluation with a catechol subunit for antioxidant and antimicrobial activity,these compounds using standard methods showed that compounds 1d,1f displayed promise radical scavenging activity and 1f was found to be the most active one against Bacillus dysenteriae.
文摘The aim of this study was to determine whether the lower urinary tract storage symptoms of benign prostatic obstruction (BPO) could be completely resolved after plasmakinetic enucleation of the prostate (PKEP) and the possible predictors of persistent symptoms. Two hundred and sixty-seven cases of BPO performed PKEP from July 2008 to June 2009 were retrospectively analyzed. Five-year postoperative data were collected and compared with the preoperative data. According to the urodynamic results, the patients were divided into involuntary detrusor contraction (IDC) group (n = 95) and no IDC group (n = 172) preoperatively; the patients with IDC were divided into IDC-persistent group (n = 33) and IDC-resolved group (n = 62) after PKER The predictors of persistent IDC were analyzed. Compared with the preoperative data, the 5-year postoperative data showed that the IDC rate was lower (P --- 0.000), Overactive Bladder Symptom Score (OABSS) was lower (P = 0.000), maximum cystometric capacity (MCC) was larger (P= 0.000), Prostate volume (PV) was smaller (P= 0.000), and prostate-specific antigen (PSA) was lower (P= 0.000). Compared with the no IDC group, the IDC group showed that the age was older (P = 0.016), MCC was smaller (P = 0.004), PSA was higher (P = 0.016), and Chronic Inflammation rate was higher (P = 0.004). Compared with IDC-resolved group after PKER IDC-persistent group showed that the age was older (P = 0.019), MCC was smaller (P = 0.000), PSA was higher (P = 0.013), and Chronic Ihflammation rate was higher (P = 0.032). The present study shows that the storage symptoms are still needed to be focused on after PKER The advanced patient age, MCC, PSA, and chronic inflammation may be the important clinical predictors of persistent IDC.

文摘In this work, we study the collective dynamics of phase oscillators in a mobile ad hoc network whose topology changes dynamically. As the network size or the communication radius of individual oscillators increases, the topology of the ad hoc network first undergoes percolation, forming a giant cluster, and then gradually achieves global connectivity. It is shown that oscillator mobility generally enhances the coherence in such networks. Interestingly, we find a new type of phase synchronization/clustering, in which the phases of the oscillators are distributed in a certain narrow range, while the instantaneous frequencies change signs frequently, leading to shuttle-run-like motion of the oscillators in phase space. We conduct a theoretical analysis to explain the mechanism of this synchronization and obtain the critical transition point.
文摘Sericin is a kind of water-soluble protein expressed specifically in the middle silk gland ofBombyx mori. When the sericin-1 gene promoter was cloned and a transgenic vector was constructed to express a foreign protein, a specific Helitron, Bmhel-8, was identified in the sericin-1 gene promoter sequence in some genotypes of Bombyx mori and Bombyx mandarina. Given that the Bmhel-8 Helitron transposon was present only in some genotypes, it could be the source of allelic variation in the sericin-I promoter. The length of the sericin-1 promoter sequence is approximately 1063 or 643 bp. The larger size of the sequence or allele is ascribed to the presence of Bmhel-8. Silkworm genotypes can be homozygous for either the shorter or larger promoter sequence or heterozygous, containing both alleles. Bmhel-8 in the sericin-1 promoter exhibits enhancer activity, as demonstrated by a dual-luciferase reporter system in BraE cell lines. Furthermore, Bmhel-8 displays enhancer activity in a sericin-1 promoter-driven gene expression system but does not regulate the tissue-specific expression of sericin-1.

文摘Al-Cu-Li alloy is a huge potential alloy for aerospace industry due to its low density and excellent comprehensive performances.In this study,the microstructures and mechanical properties of a novel cast Al-Cu-Li alloy during the heat treatment were investigated.Results showed that most of the secondary phases along grain boundaries in as-cast state were dissolved into the Al matrix after homogenization and solution treatment,while the Cu-rich phases were slightly segregated once again on grain boundaries after aging.A relatively good combination of strength and ductility(average ultimate tensile strength of 430 MPa and elongation of 8.9%)was obtained after natural aging.Transmission electron microscopy(TEM)results revealed that there was a complicated precipitate distribution in this cast alloy after natural aging.Compared with the similar alloys which introduced dislocations before aging,the density of T1(Al_(2)CuLi)phases was decreased but the size was increased.The low volume fraction of d0 phase,medium density of needle-shaped precipitates and relativity narrow precipitates-free zone with varying widths near grain boundary are the reasons accounting for the improvement of performances.

文摘Being shaded is a common environmental stress for plants, especial y for densely planted crops. Shade de-creases red: far-red (R:FR) ratios that inactivate phyto-chrome B (PHYB) and subsequently release phytochrome interaction factors (PIFs). Shaded plants display elongated hypocotyls, internodes, and petioles, hyponastic leaves, early flowering and are inhibited in branching: traits col ectively cal ed the shade avoidance syndrome (SAS). ZEITLUPE (ZTL) is a circadian clock component and blue light photoreceptor, which is also involved in floral rhythms and plant defense in Nicotiana attenuata. ztl mutants are hypersensitive to red light and ZTL physical y interacts with PHYB, suggesting the involvement of ZTL in R:FR light signaling. Here, we show that N. attenuata ZTL-silenced plants display a phenotype op-posite to that of the SAS under normal light. After simulated shade, the normal y induced transcript levels of the SAS mar-ker gene, ATHB2 are attenuated in ZTL-silenced plants. The auxin signaling pathway, known to be involved in SAS, was also significantly attenuated. Furthermore, NaZTL directly in-teracts with NaPHYBs, and regulates the transcript levels of PHYBs, PIF3a, PIF7 and PIF8 under shade. Our results suggest that ZTL may regulate PHYB- and the auxin-mediated sig-naling pathway, which functions in the SAS of N. attenuata.
文摘The mean fixation time is often not accurate for describing the timescales of fixation probabilities of evolutionary games taking place on complex networks. We simulate the game dynamics on top of complex network topologies and approximate the fixation time distributions using a mean-field approach. We assume that there are two absorbing states. Numerically, we show that the mean fixation time is sufficient in characterizing the evolutionary timescales when network structures are close to the well-mixing condition. In contrast, the mean fixation time shows large inaccuracies when networks become sparse. The approximation accuracy is determined by the network structure, and hence by the suitability of the mean-field approach. The numerical results show good agreement with the theoretical predictions.
