The Wide Field Survey Telescope(WFST)is a dedicated time-domain multi-band(u,g,r,i,and z)photometric survey facility under construction. In this paper,we present a preliminary study that assesses the quality of photometric redshifts based on WFST by utilizing mock observations derived with the galaxy catalog in the COSMOS/UltraVISTA field. We apply the template fitting technique to estimate photometric redshifts by using the ZEBRA photometric-redshift code and adopting a modified set of adaptive templates. We evaluate the bias(median relative offset between the output photometric redshifts and input redshifts),normalized median absolute deviation(σ_(NMAD))and outlier fraction(f_(outlier))of photometric redshifts in two typical WFST observational cases, the single 30 s exposure observations(hereafter shallow mode)and co-added 50 minutes exposure observations(hereafter deep mode). We find bias≲0.006,σ_(NMAD)≲0.03,and f_(outlier)≲5%in the shallow mode and bias≈0.005,σ_(NMAD)≈0.06,and f_(outlier)≈17%–27%in the deep mode, respectively, under various lunar phases.Combining the WFST mock observational data with that from the upcoming CSST and Euclid surveys,we demonstrate that the zphot results can be significantly improved, with f_(outlier)≈1%andσ_(NMAD)≈0.02. 展开更多

We compile multi-wavelength data from ultraviolet to infrared(IR) bands as well as redshift and source-type information, for a large sample of 178 341 sources in the Hawaii-Hubble Deep Field-North field. A total of 145 635 sources among the full sample are classified/treated as galaxies and have redshift information available. We derive physical properties for these sources utilizing the spectral energy distribution fitting code CIGALE that is based on Bayesian analysis. Through various consistency and robustness checks, we find that our stellar-mass and star-formation rate(SFR) estimates are reliable, which is mainly due to two facts. Firstly, we adopt the most up-to-date and accurate redshifts and point spread functionmatched photometry; and secondly, we make sensible parameter choices with the CIGALE code and take into account the influences of mid-IR/far-IR data, star-formation history models, and AGN contribution. We release our catalog of galaxy properties publicly(including, e.g., redshift, stellar mass, SFR, age, metallicity, dust attenuation). It is the largest of its kind in this field and should facilitate future relevant studies on the formation and evolution of galaxies. 展开更多

X-ray changing-look active galactic nuclei(CL AGNs) are a subpopulation of AGNs,whose lineof-sight column densities increase/decrease within several years. The physical mechanism for the variation of column density is unclear. We reduce the X-ray data from XMM-Newton and Nu STAR observations for a CL AGN NGC 1365 with strong variation of column densities. The X-ray spectrum quickly softens as the X-ray luminosity increases and optical-to-X-ray spectral index also increases as increasing of optical luminosity. These results support that NGC 1365 also undergoes strong spectral evolution as that recently suggested for the optically selected CL AGNs with reappearance/disappearance of broad emission lines. Therefore, the variation of column density may be driven by the variable disk winds during the strong evolution of disk/corona. 展开更多
