With the aid of the Internet of Things (IoT), which is an excellent computerized technology solution for all field claims, Internet of Things (IoT) technology has recently provided an efficient and effective traffic management system, especially in transportation, due to the combined functions IoT can handle, there are management, monitoring, tracking, identifying, computing, and so on. High-intensity interval training(HIlT)has been found to be more effective in relieving heart failure(HF)symptoms,than moderate-intensity continuous aerobic training(MICT).Additionally,higher meteorin-like protein(Metrnl)levels are seen after HIIT versus MICT.We investigated whether Metrnl contributed to post-HF cardiac functional improve-ments,and the signaling pathways involved.50 HF patients underwent MICT,and another 50,HllT,which was followed by cardiac function and serum Metrnl measurements.Metrnl was also measured in both blood and skeletal muscle samples of mice with transverse aortic constriction-induced HF after undergoing HIIT.Afterward,shRNA-containing adenovectors were injected into mice,yielding five groups:control,HF,HF+HIIT+scrambled shRNA,HF+HIIT+shMetrnl,and HF+Metrnl(HF+exogenous Metrnl).Mass spectrometry identified specific signaling pathways associated with increased Metrnl,which was confirmed with biochemical analyses.Glucose metabolism and mitochondrial functioning were evaluated in cardiomyocytes from the five groups.Both HF patients and mice had higher circulating Metrnl levels post-HIIT.Metrnl activated AMPK in cardiomyocytes,subsequently increasing histone deacetylase 4(HDAC4)phosphorylation,leading to its cytosolic sequestration and inactivation via binding with chaperone protein 14-3-3.HDAC4 inactivation removed its repression on glucose transporter type 4,which,along with increased mitochondrial complex I-V expression,yielded improved aerobic glucose respiration and alleviation of mitochondrial dysfunction.All these changes ultimately result in improved post-HF cardiac functioning.HIT increased skeletal muscle Metrnl production,which then operated on HF hearts to alleviate their functional defects,via increasing aerobic glucose metabolism through AMPK-HDAC4 signaling. 展开更多

Adventitious root(AR)formation from leafy stem cuttings is critical for breeding of many forest and horticultural species.In addition to the plant hormone auxin,wound-induced signaling caused by the cutting excision is also essential for AR initiation.Here we found that reactive oxygen species(ROS)are rapidly generated at the excision site as a wound-induced signal and propagated throughout the hypocotyl cut-ting after excision of the Arabidopsis(Arabidopsis thaliana)primary root.ROS propagation was not ob-served in the presence of an NADPH oxidase inhibitor(diphenylene iodonium chloride)or in a knockout mu-tant of the NADPH oxidase gene respiratory burst oxi-dase homolog protein D(RBOHD).Respiratory burst oxidase homolog protein D was specifically upregulatedin hypocotyl cuttings at 0.5 h post excision(hpe).To-gether,these data suggest that RBOHD mediates ROS propagation in hypocotyl cuttings.We also found that auxin levels increased significantly in the shoot apex at 5 hpe and at the base of the cutting at 6 hpe;these effects were blocked by treatment with ROS scav-engers.Consistent with this,transcript levels of auxin biosynthesis and polar-transport genes generally in-creased between 1 to 6 hpe.Collectively,our results suggest that wound-induced ROS participate in AR in-duction through regulation of auxin biosynthesis and transport. 展开更多

The problem of decreasing stability margins in L1 adaptive control systems is discussed and an out-of-loop L1 adaptive control scheme based on Lyapunov’s stability theorem is proposed.This scheme enhances the effectiveness of the adaptation,which ensures that the system has suffi-cient stability margins to achieve the desired performance under parametric uncertainty,additional delays,and actuator faults.The stability of the developed control system is demonstrated through a series of simulations.Compared with an existing control scheme,the constant adjustment of the sta-bility margins by the proposed adaptive scheme allows their range to be extended by a factor of 4–5,bringing the stability margin close to that of variable gain PD control with adaptively scheduled gains.The engineered practicability of adaptive technology is verified.A series of flight tests verify the practicability of the designed adaptive technology.The results of these tests demonstrate the enhanced performance of the proposed control scheme with nonlinear parameter estimations under insufficient stability margins and validate its robustness in the event of actuator failures. 展开更多

Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate)(PEDOT:PSS)is an important organic electrode for solution-processed low-cost electronic devices.However,it requires doping and post-solvent treatment to improve its conductivity,and the chemicals used for such treatments may affect the device fabrication process.In this study,we developed a novel route for exploiting ultrafast lasers(femtosecond and picosecond laser)to simultaneously enhance the conductivity and transparency of PEDOT:PSS films and fabricate patterned solution-processed electrodes for electronic devices.The conductivity of the PEDOT:PSS film was improved by three orders of magnitude(from 3.1 to 1024 S·cm^(–1)),and high transparency of up to 88.5%(average visible transmittance,AVT)was achieved.Raman and depthprofiling X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy revealed that the oxidation level of PEDOT was enhanced,thereby increasing the carrier concentration.The surface PSS content also decreased,which is beneficial to the carrier mobility,resulting in significantly enhanced electrical conductivity.Further,we fabricated semitransparent perovskite solar cells using the as-made PEDOT:PSS as the transparent top electrodes,and a power conversion efficiency of 7.39%was achieved with 22.63%AVT.Thus,the proposed route for synthesizing conductive and transparent electrodes is promising for vacuum and doping-free electronics. 展开更多
