Achieving a uniform structure with few defects in heavy steel ingot is of high commercial importance. In this present work, in order to verify the potential of pulsed magneto-oscillation(PMO) applied in the production of heavy ingot, an induction coil was located at the hot top of the steel ingot to develop a novel technique, named hot top pulsed magneto oscillation(HPMO). The influences of HPMO on the solidification structure, macro segregation and compactness of a cylindrical medium carbon steel ingot with the weight of 160 kg were systematically investigated by optical microscope(OM) and laser induced breakdown spectroscopy original position metal analyzer(LIBSOPA-100). The results show that HPMO not only causes significant grain refinement and promotes the occurrence of columnar to equiaxed transition(CET) but also can homogenize the carbon distribution and enhance the compactness of the steel ingot. Therefore, HPMO technique has the potential to be applied in the production of heavy steel ingots on an industrial scale. 展开更多

Precipitation strengthening of nano-scale TiC is a promising method to improve mechanical properties of Fe–16Mn–9Al–0.8C (wt.%) low-density steel. This work attempted to introduce nano-scale TiC precipitates by adding 1 wt.% Ti element. The experimental results show that these precipitates with the total fraction of about 2 vol.% were formed and no coarse precipitates were observed despite the high Ti addition. It was interesting that the polygonal and needle-shaped TiC precipitates were observed in γ-austenite and δ-ferrite, respectively. Ti addition also decreased the volume fraction of γ-austenite significantly. Correspondingly, the yield strength was increased, but the elongation was significantly decreased due to the significant decrease of γ-austenite. Comparing with the Ti-free steel, the formation of TiC precipitates was the main reason for the increase in yield strength of Ti-bearing steel, and TiC precipitates also led to a higher strain hardening index at the first deformation stage. TiC precipitates promoted the Orowan strengthening, resulting in a higher strain hardening capability than Ti-free steel reinforced by shearable κ-carbide. 展开更多

Objective:To evaluate the clinical therapeutic effect of acupuncture bloodletting therapy on local swelling and pain of snakebite in the patients bitten by snakes. Methods:A total of 106 patients with trimeresurus stejnegeri bite were randomly divided into two groups,a conventional treatment group and a conventional treatment combined with bloodletting therapy group,53 cases in each one.In the conventional treatment group, the convention treatment of western medicine was adopted. In the conventional treatment combined with bloodletting therapy group,on the base of the conventional treatment, bloodletting therapy was applied at Ashi points selected at the tender points around the wound. The intervention and observation were performed not less than 7 days in two groups. Before and after treatment, swelling and pain degrees were measured and remission time of both the limb swelling and pain were recorded in the patients. Results:Compared with the values on day 1 of treatment, swelling degree and visual analogue scale(VAS) score of the upper and lower limbs were all lower on day 3 and day 7 of treatment in the patients of the two groups(all P <0.05).Compared with the conventional treatment group, swelling degree and VAS score of the upper and lower limbs were all lower in the values of the conventional treatment combined with bloodletting therapy group on day 3 and day 7 of treatment respectively(all P <0.05).The remission time of either limb swelling or pain in the patients of the conventional treatment combined with bloodletting therapy group was shorter than the conventional treatment group respectively(both P <0.05).Conclusion:Acupuncture bloodletting therapy can effectively relieve the local swelling and pain caused by snakebite, promote the recovery of limb function, shorten the treatment course and improve the clinical therapeutic effect. 展开更多

RNA binding motif proteins(RBMs)have been widely implicated in the tumorigenesis of multiple human cancers but scarcely studied in nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC).Here,we compare the m RNA levels of 29 RBMs between 87 NPC and 10 control samples. We find that RBM47 is frequently upregulated in NPC specimens, and its high expression is associated with the poor prognosis of patients with NPC.Biological experiments show that RBM47 plays an oncogenic role in NPC cells.Mechanically,RBM47 binds to the promoter and regulates the transcription of BCAT1,and its overexpression partially rescues the inhibitory effects of RBM47-knockdown on NPC cells. Moreover, transcriptome analysis reveals that RBM47 regulates alternative splicing of pre-m RNA,including those cancer-related,to a large extent in NPC cells.Furthermore,RBM47 binds to hnRNPM and cooperatively regulates multiple splicing events in NPC cells. In addition,we find that knockdown of hnRNPM inhibits proliferation and migration of NPC cells. Our study, taken together, shows that RBM47 promotes the progression of NPC through multiple pathways, acting as a transcriptional factor and a modulator of alternative splicing in cooperation with hnRNPM.Our study also highlights that RBM47 and hnRNPM could be prognostic factors and potential therapeutic targets for NPC. 展开更多
